Good afternoon,
Today, I contacted an Uber driver at Orlando Airport. The driver, operating a black Cadillac SUV, misled me when I inquired about the difference between UberBLACK and UberX, claiming there was no distinction in the fare. He wrongly stated UberBLACK was exclusive to the airport, but the cost would be the same. I am deeply upset by his deception, as I now face a bill of $75 that I wasn't prepared for. If I had been aware of the true fare, I wouldn't have requested the service. I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter and either adjust the fare to the regular rate or address this issue with your driver. I feel deceived by this Uber driver and am extremely frustrated.

I believe there might have been an issue with my earnings from driving last night. According to the trip history, I completed 17 trips between 9 pm and 3:30 am, but it seems that some were cancelled by the riders. There were instances where I arrived, but the rider had already chosen another driver, or they asked me to cancel the ride after I arrived. It's disappointing as it appears only 13 trips were accounted for in my earnings. Also, despite driving on New Year's Eve hoping for good earnings, I made less than $[redacted]. I noticed surge pricing in different areas but am unsure how it works, as I've seen other drivers earning significantly more during the same time. I'm feeling discouraged and would appreciate some clarification to understand this better as I consider my options with driving.

I was surprised by the $91 charge on the return trip compared to the $13 fare using a $20 promo code on the way there. The difference in price for the same distance is confusing and I don't believe it is fair. Waiting 10 minutes for the Uber to arrive at the pick-up location added to my dissatisfaction. Paying $91 for the ride felt unexpectedly high for me as a first-time Uber user.

I had a concerning experience with a driver who overcharged me $41 on a recent Uber trip. I reached out to Uber Help and initially got a response, but after 15 emails over 3 days, I haven't heard back. I contacted the local partner office and now await their reply. I hope to receive a full refund of the $81 fare due to the time and effort I've spent on this issue, but unfortunately, I'm not getting any responses. I worry I might be marked as spam as no one is reaching out to me.

I am currently encountering issues with the Uber Partners app. I have completed all required document submissions, and my vehicle is brand new. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S5 with Android 5.0 OS.
Upon selecting "go online" in the app to start accepting rides, I waited for three hours yesterday without receiving any ride requests. Despite being in areas with surge pricing, I did not receive any notifications.
To troubleshoot, I attempted using a friend's Android device with an older OS version and promptly received a fare. I have tried various solutions such as logging in and out, reinstalling the app, updating the OS, and even restoring my phone to factory settings to no avail.
I also tried using my girlfriend's identical Samsung Galaxy S5, but encountered the same issue of not being able to receive ride requests or appearing as an available driver.
At this point, I am unsure of what else to try and would appreciate any advice or assistance.

I am enquiring about Uber offering driver permits to avoid trespassing charges. Recent incidents at the Asheville Regional Airport in North Carolina have raised concerns. The Division of Motor Vehicles in Asheville is reportedly addressing this issue by issuing state permits to Uber drivers. I am interested in driving for Uber and want to ensure legal compliance and protection. Obtaining the proper permit is crucial for me and my SUV. It's important that private properties do not target Uber drivers. I aim to represent Uber and hold all necessary documentation and permits legally required in North Carolina. This will shield both drivers and Uber from potential legal issues with law enforcement and private businesses. I hope for a swift resolution to this matter. Thank you for your attention. Daniel G.

I have recently applied to become an Uber driver. Unfortunately, my background check was declined by the company due to a report from Checkr. I was advised by the Austin Uber office to log in to Checkr using my personal details (email, social security number, birthdate). When I followed these instructions and entered the information exactly as provided to Uber, Checkr informed me that they had no record of a report based on my details. They suggested that if the issue persists, I should contact Uber for clarification on how my information was submitted. In an email from Checkr, it was mentioned that without the correct information matching their records, they cannot provide me with the background report used in my application denial. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I am entitled to a free copy of any report that is used to deny me employment. I strongly believe there may be inaccuracies in the background check as I have no criminal record, no traffic violations, or accidents. To resolve this matter and prove the inaccuracies, I need access to the background report to review the items that led to my rejection from driving for Uber. Thank you. - B.K.

On Saturday evening, I accidentally left my keys in the Uber driver's car. The trip was booked under my friend's account, and she left a message with my phone number. It has been approximately 15 hours, and I have not received a response yet. When I tried calling the driver, the call went straight to voicemail, instructing me to contact Uber online for any concerns. Getting my keys back is crucial, and I'm unsure what more I can do at this point. Thank you for any assistance.

I'm trying to set up a ride for learning purposes but became confused by the pricing details. The information displayed was $9.75 minimum fare, $0.32 per minute, and $1.79 per mile. Are these charges cumulative or separate? I was only given the option to accept a higher fare, but I'm just trying to familiarize myself with the process and do not intend to actually use the service right now. Additionally, I haven't provided my phone number yet. Will I be charged for a ride I won't take? I need assistance from a person to clarify this. I was advised in an email from customer support that I don't need an iPhone for this. However, the app requirement is concerning as I don't think I can install an app on my computer. I'm eager to use Uber but would appreciate some guidance. Thank you. - Gail S. from Menlo Park, CA

My friend and I registered for Uber yesterday and used it for the first time. We traveled from my home on Harvard Ave, which came to $33.00 before using a coupon, around midnight. Later, at 2 am, we took an Uber back to Harvard Ave, which came to $[redacted].00 before any discounts were applied. There was a "2.3 surge" at that time that we had to enter, however, the $[redacted].00 fare seems excessive and illogical compared to the $33.00 fare for the trip down. Considering the surge applied earlier, the return trip should have been around $77.00, minus the $20.00 coupon we intended to use, making it approximately $57.00 - which would have been acceptable. The unexpected $74.00 difference on the return trip receipt is perplexing.

I recently upgraded to a new car and transferred the plates from my old vehicle in Illinois. I was informed that while waiting for the hard copy registration in the mail, all I needed was the receipt. Despite providing all necessary information, I have been unable to resolve the issue online with the department. It has been over a week, and I haven't been able to drive. The online representatives keep rejecting the receipt and old registration I submitted. In Illinois, you should only have to present the receipt and the old registration to law enforcement if needed. I am eager to get back on the road and would appreciate any assistance you could provide. Thank you.

Hello,
I recently submitted my Uber application, including two JPEG images of my insurance information to prove I am on the policy. A support team member assured me they would attach the documents to my application. I am reaching out to confirm that my application is complete and only pending the background check. I just want to make sure that all necessary documents were received.
Thank you,
Ian H.

I have unfortunately lost a meaningful family ring during a recent ride. Despite contacting the driver who couldn't find it, we believe another passenger may have picked it up. We are offering a $[redacted] reward for its return and are trying to reach out to the passengers who rode after us. If you were a passenger on that ride, please help us find the ring. Contact me at [redacted] or call [redacted]. Your assistance is greatly appreciated in recovering this sentimental item.

Two deposits totaling just over $[redacted] were mistakenly made to an unknown bank account, as the last two digits of the routing and account number did not match any account the user recognized. Updates were made to rectify the error, but the deposited money remains inaccessible. A support representative mentioned providing a track ID number for resolution within 7 business days; however, it has now been over that timeframe. After attempting to follow up via email, the user received a response claiming the matter had been resolved, though the funds are still outstanding.

I've been searching for a dealer involved in Uber's leasing program. Unfortunately, when I approached the Wexford, PA dealer, they declined without giving me a reason. After waiting for weeks, I received a letter stating it was because of my low credit score. When I contacted Kenny Ross Toyota, on the list you shared, I was informed they are not part of the Xchange leasing program and do not offer any deals related to Uber or leasing.

Hello,
I am Nirmala S. and my registered mobile number with Uber is +91-[redacted]. I would like to address two concerns about my trip on January 1st, [redacted]. Firstly, the driver did not take the correct route to my destination, resulting in additional charges as he took a longer route. The driver also did not possess the necessary inter-state travel permit for the vehicle used. Secondly, I did not receive the free ride despite applying the promotion code. Thank you.

My name is Jo Ann Bollettieiri. I took an Uber from Newark, NJ to Morristown, NJ and was charged $[redacted].69. The receipt shows an incorrect mileage of 87 instead of the actual 23 miles. I usually use UberX, not a Black car, which is more expensive. I believe the correct fare should be between $40 and $50. I would like a credit to my account for the overcharge. Thank you.

I recently joined Uber after seeing the free ride promotion. I was under the impression that when someone uses my promo code, $15 would automatically be credited to my account. However, I have yet to see this bonus reflected in my account. My boyfriend recently signed up using my promo code as well, but neither of us have received the $15 discount on his first ride. I am confused as to why the additional money has not been added as promised. Thank you for clarifying this for me.

The driver failed to end the app after my 5-mile ride but charged me for a 20-mile trip, totaling $[redacted].63. Despite contacting customer service and speaking to Geoffrey D. on Saturday, December 19, [redacted], at 3:31 am, I faced issues with Uber's email system crashing, making it impossible to clarify the situation. I have evidence including two witnesses, location receipts during the time of the supposed trip, and screenshots proving I did not take a full 20-mile ride. I have disputed the credit card charge and am willing to pay for the accurate 5-mile trip once this error is rectified. Various emails I sent bounced back with error reports related to Uber's email delivery failure.

This morning, I rode with a driver named Larry. Surprisingly, only $5 was charged. Later, I used Uber to return from the same location and was initially charged $11.23. However, an hour ago, an extra $13.38 was charged for the morning ride, which seems excessive as I have never paid more than $11.80. I am confused about the additional charge and would appreciate clarification.
