To whom it may concern, I scheduled a trip for 4:20 am today, May 19, [redacted], but decided to request an earlier pick-up. After cancelling my initial booking, I immediately requested a new ride. However, to my surprise, I received an email moments later stating that I was charged $5 and some change. I believe it is unfair that I was not notified in advance about this charge during the cancellation process. A simple message would have prevented me from cancelling and incurring this fee. I kindly request that Uber refunds this charge. I rely on Uber for all my airport transportation needs and have never encountered an issue like this before. Your consideration in this matter is much appreciated. Thank you, Adam

I have noticed unauthorized charges totaling $[redacted].09 for Uber rides I did not take. Despite updating my card details, the charges continued even after deleting my account. Discrepancies exist between what I am being billed for and what my bank statements reflect. I have records of my legitimate rides, but the additional charges are unexplained. This has been ongoing for three months starting from 3/12. I prefer a refund instead of Uber credits and will escalate this matter on social media if necessary. I can be reached at [redacted] or [redacted].

1) Hello Ed, I am reaching out regarding a recent Uber ride I took on Friday. I had requested an UberX but received an UberXL instead. Though the fare displayed was approximately $30, the charge ended up being $71.01. I have had similar experiences before where the vehicle type differed but was charged the correct rate afterward. Could you please adjust the charge to reflect the approximate $30 fare I anticipated? Thank you for your assistance and feel free to reach out for any clarification. 2) Hello, I am still experiencing issues with my Uber ride charge from some time back. Despite multiple follow-ups indicating that the problem persists, it doesn't seem to be resolved. As a long-term user of Uber services for over five years, I am quite disappointed with the ongoing delay in addressing this matter. I believe that a refund for the fare difference between UberX and UberXL is no longer sufficient. I am now requesting a full refund due to the extensive time and inconvenience this has caused me.

Hello, I am writing to share my recent disappointing experience with Uber. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have faced such issues, but today's incident was particularly unacceptable. I had booked an Uber cab this morning at 7:30 am, and it took nearly 20 minutes to locate the cab. After finally finding the cab, the app showed it would take another 10 minutes to arrive. I called the driver to confirm, and he assured me he was on his way. However, after waiting for some time, I tried calling back, only to find the number unavailable, and the cab never showed up at the pick-up point. Despite not canceling the ride, I was still charged a fine and penalty fees, which I find unjust since the driver did not arrive. Similar incidents happened yesterday, where the driver canceled the ride, and I was charged penalty fees without justification. I am extremely dissatisfied with Uber's service and will advise my friends against using it for transportation. I am requesting a refund of the charges levied on me; otherwise, I will escalate this complaint further.

Hello, I am currently working a construction detail and wanted to report an incident involving a red Honda Accord with an Uber logo on the windshield that disregarded road closures and sped past my construction site despite my attempts to stop the driver. The license plate I noted is NJ C44JZR, which corresponds to a red [redacted] Honda Accord from West New York, NJ. If indeed affiliated with Uber, I kindly request that the company address this concerning behavior with the driver, emphasizing the importance of safe driving practices. I believe Uber may track driver speed and location through GPS, potentially verifying the incident at Brunswick Avenue and Bayway. Should my identification be incorrect, I apologize for any confusion caused. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards, Vasilios P.

To the Uber team, I am reaching out once again to address the incident involving the driver, Luis, on April 13, [redacted]. I was erroneously charged a cleaning fee based on his assertion that I had either vomited or consumed alcohol in his vehicle, both of which are untrue allegations. It appears there was a mistake with my user account or the driver is providing false information. Following a conversation with my husband and the Uber support team, it was indicated that an investigation will be conducted. During the ride from my workplace to home, which lasted only 11 minutes, I was in my work uniform. I have been a dedicated employee at my company for 15 years and can provide witnesses confirming that I do not consume alcohol. I am willing to provide any necessary documentation, witness statements, or even undergo a blood test to substantiate my claim. I am eager to resolve this issue promptly; otherwise, I may have to pursue legal action. Please contact me directly at your earliest convenience at [redacted]. Thank you.

I tried to set up my debit card for instant cash deposits, but unfortunately, the process failed each time. Now, when resubmitting my routing and account numbers, it takes 3 to 5 business days for payments to process. This delay affects my job acceptance rate as I need instant deposits for fuel while working as a driver. It seems like the CEO of my financial institution and Accel may be disconnected from their system, perhaps due to updates or a new format. The star system is operational, so I'm wondering how I can have my debit card payments routed through that system for instant payments instead.

Hello, I need to report an incident during my recent Uber ride to Bangalore airport. The driver demanded extra money (Rs 85 toll fee in cash) when we reached the toll gate. Feeling intimidated, I paid to avoid any confrontation, assuming it was a standard request. However, upon checking the receipt, I noticed the toll fee was already included in the fare. I lodged a complaint via the mobile app, but it was dismissed without a resolution. This experience has left me questioning Uber's service. I have been a loyal customer but am now hesitant to continue using Uber for my travels. I hope for a prompt resolution to this matter. Thank you, Jhalak

I keep receiving multiple text messages from Uber with verification codes. Even after several hours, I continue to receive these codes without requesting them. This issue arises after unauthorized charges were made on my credit card by Uber last week, which was not associated with my account. I have incurred losses of over $[redacted] due to these charges and have taken the step of canceling all my cards at the bank. Despite this, I woke up to receiving eight verification codes starting from 2 a.m. I am both a driver and a rider for Uber, and I urgently require assistance to address this situation.

I had a concerning experience with an Uber driver who claimed I picked up the wrong person. This seems like an attempt to manipulate the system. The driver arrived at 1 Meadowlands, called me through Uber, and mentioned he was on his way. Upon arrival, he was with a woman who later admitted she was on a date with him. He claimed the ride was for her to the city as he was heading to work. Despite confirming the location and rider with them both, the situation escalated with the driver texting me during the trip questioning my destination. I followed the Uber directions, but due to heavy traffic, my car overheated near the New York entrance, forcing me to drop off the woman for safety. I am requesting the suspension of this customer's account and a refund for the trip.

I have a receipt for $33.74 for a ride from the airport. I have received a message indicating that the ride is unpaid. Additionally, there is a notification about my UBER account being logged in on a different device, which I did not do. I am confused about what is happening. Yesterday, I spoke to someone on the phone who suggested buying a $[redacted] Google Play card to help resolve this issue, which I believe may be a scam. I really need assistance in resolving this matter.

On Wednesday, June 20th, at Sherbourne & King Street in Toronto at 7:12 pm, I encountered a frustrating situation while cycling. I was first in line at the traffic light heading West when the green light signaled my turn. Despite this, a car on my right abruptly cut me off and then inadequately parked, blocking my path. Trying to maneuver around, the driver carelessly opened their door without checking, forcing me into the streetcar lane to avoid a collision. Confronting the Uber driver led to disrespectful behavior and a disregard for safety and traffic laws. In Toronto, parking more than 30 cm from the curb incurs a fine. This incident raises concerns about the driver's lack of awareness, insensitivity, and reckless attitude towards sharing the road with cyclists. It is vital for drivers to prioritize safety, especially considering recent accidents involving cyclists and pedestrians. Awareness and compliance with rules are crucial for everyone's safety on the road.

Today at 3:44 pm, I received a call from [redacted] claiming to be an Uber driver. The woman on the phone asked to verify my Uber credit card, which I didn't have. She threatened to suspend my account. When I mentioned having another account and asked for verification, she refused. I inquired how to confirm it was Uber calling, and she mentioned her location. After I couldn't locate my other card, she abruptly ended the call and canceled my ride. I immediately booked another Uber without issues. This experience raises concerns about potential fraud attempts by individuals posing as Uber drivers for credit card information.

Hello, my email is [redacted] I cannot sign in because you now require a code sent to my phone. I travel often and have multiple phone numbers, but I'm unable to update them on Uber without signing in. I am at a standstill. I am adamant about not having a U.S. number due to the influence of cell companies there and their control over customers. The "Make America Great Again" slogan is, to me, merely a facade since everything in the U.S. revolves around money. This situation with Uber highlights the inefficiencies that exist in the USA. I understand that if I were a couch potato like Al Bundy, I wouldn't face these issues. Unfortunately, I lead a busy life.

In the Chicago market, the cheap Express Pool rates are causing issues for drivers as they are losing money. Uber's adjustments to rush hour rates and the introduction of Express Pool have led to confusion among riders being dropped off slightly away from their intended stop. This has impacted driver earnings, leading to concerns about service quality and driver morale. Chicago, known for its traditional cab culture, values convenient door-to-door transportation. While riders were content with regular Pool rates, the recent changes have disrupted the balance. Drivers strive to maintain professionalism, cleanliness, and provide amenities like phone chargers and water bottles for a pleasant customer experience, especially for tourists seeking city insights. A plea is made to the CEO or management to consider the unique dynamics of the Chicago market and engage in a dialogue to address these concerns and preserve the quality of service.

Hello, My son took an Uber ride in Seattle yesterday, June 21, and unfortunately left his phone in the car. The driver, Eramys, contacted me to inform me that he found the phone. However, due to being in the Air Force, my son had to leave early this morning and could not retrieve it. Eramys mentioned he would drop it off at the Uber office. How can I ensure my son's phone is returned to us? His name is Matthew Greco, the lost phone number is [redacted], and our address is [redacted] Col. Vanderhorst Circle, Mt. Pleasant, SC [redacted]. I am aware there may be a lost item fee. Whom should I contact in Seattle about this? I have been unable to find information on the Seattle Uber office. Thank you for your assistance! Best, Marianne Greco

My daughter accidentally left her phone in an Uber, and despite sending several messages to Uber, we have not received any updates. We are willing to compensate the driver for returning the phone. It is important for dishonest drivers who do not return lost items to be held accountable. I believe this policy would encourage drivers to be more responsible with passengers' belongings. Please reach out to me for further information. Thank you, Julia.

I am questioning why I was charged for wait time during my return trip today. I was the only one who had to wait. When my appointment was finished, I scheduled the ride from the building lobby. I tracked the driver on the app and noticed an SUV briefly stopping at the door. I walked over to check if it was for me. Before I got to the door, the driver left and circled around the building to another door (directly across from the first one). I rushed out to confirm if it was my ride. Once I confirmed, I entered the car. The driver seems to be new to Uber and mentioned he does not speak English well. There might be a misunderstanding about the wait time policy. Waiting for a rider to walk through a lobby, check the license plate, and then enter the car should not be considered as wait time. It's not the $0.99 charge that bothers me; it's the principle behind it.

I'm disappointed by the declining quality of service from Uber. Today, I had a frustrating experience with multiple driver changes causing delays. Initially, a driver was 3 minutes away, then it switched to a new one arriving in 5 minutes. Suddenly, that trip was canceled, and a different driver was assigned, arriving in 6 minutes. This delay made me miss two trains and late for work. I am requesting a refund of $9.19 for the fare charged due to the inconvenience. Despite this experience, I remain a loyal Uber customer and hope to receive a response and resolution to this issue.

Our Uber driver, Jawed, picked up two other passengers despite us seeing him drive by. When we stopped him, he claimed he didn't know who he was picking up and drove away. His license number was 7ZYH860. We had to take a cab instead. Upon contacting Jawed at the hotel, he made excuses and claimed he came back for us. This unprofessional behavior left us stranded, and he tried to avoid responsibility. Apparently, he mistakenly picked up another passenger who identified as "Susan." I did not book the Uber; it was requested under the name Susan Sterner at [redacted]. We are requesting a refund for this mix-up and urge that the driver be reprimanded for his actions. Please address this issue promptly.
