Last week, on Jan 30 during a lengthy 2-hour phone call, I was informed I would receive a $75 refund. I paid $[redacted] for my [redacted] Federal tax return and $50 for State. Despite not utilizing Premier LIVE, it was indicated as LIVE on my online account. I requested the LIVE feature to be removed before payment and requested to downgrade to Premier without LIVE. The representative attempted to remove LIVE by consulting tech support and their team lead, but they were unsuccessful. Consequently, I paid $[redacted], providing the order number: TTWCB[redacted]56, as instructed to receive a refund. The representative assured me of the refund, which I have not yet received. Kindly process the refund promptly. Thank you.

I recently installed TurboTax [redacted] on my Windows 10 laptop. Upon opening the program, I am greeted by a page with happy faces and a 'Let's get started' button. However, clicking this button causes TurboTax to crash and prompt me to send an error report. Despite sending the report multiple times, there has been no follow-up from Intuit. I attempted to repair the installation without success and ultimately had to force an uninstall before reinstalling TurboTax, but the issue persisted. As someone with 20 years of experience in software development and consulting, I find this year's experience quite disappointing. I simply seek a functional installation and operation of TurboTax [redacted] or a refund for my purchase.

I have yet to receive my second stimulus check via direct deposit from the IRS, which was supposed to be sent around January 8. There was an initial error for tax filers using online private services like TurboTax, which seems to have been resolved on January 8. An update from the Intuit TurboTax website on January 11 states that some affected tax filers have not received their stimulus payment yet due to the IRS error. TurboTax is working to expedite the process but is dependent on the IRS releasing the funds. The IRS is expected to re-issue the stimulus payment, and it should be deposited by the end of January according to them. TurboTax will keep us updated via email on any new information. They are aware of the importance of these funds and are advocating for customers with the IRS.

For the past 10-12 years, I've been buying Turbo Tax from Staples. I usually get "Business" for my two LLC's and "Home and Business" for both federal and state returns for myself and my four kids. When I visited Staples on Feb 4, I noticed two concerns:
1) The "Business [redacted]" CD only mentions Federal E-file, not State filing. Can I use "Business [redacted]" for both my Federal and California State returns for my LLCs?
2) The "Home and Business [redacted]" CD doesn't specify that it includes "5 federal e-files with IRS confirmation," something that was always there even with Turbo Tax "Basic." Does "Home and Business [redacted]" provide 5 federal e-files plus state filing for each return?
The employees at Staples couldn't provide answers to these questions.

I used TurboTax to file my [redacted] taxes, but I haven't received them yet. I've been checking the IRS site for my refund status, but there's no information available. I had to pay the TurboTax fee upfront, but I still haven't received any assistance in locating my taxes. Additionally, I didn't receive my second stimulus payment, and I'm concerned about not receiving any future payments. I've tried reaching out for help, but I'm only getting automated responses. I really need to figure out what's happening with my situation immediately.

I am having difficulty submitting an account recovery request as I am unable to upload the necessary proof of ID. The link provided through SMS is not functional. In order to finalize the validation of my ID for the IRS, I require access to my [redacted] return. Unfortunately, I am unable to retrieve this document as I no longer have access to the email or phone number associated with my old account. I kindly request two things: the ability to submit a photo of my valid ID through an alternative method and assistance in obtaining my [redacted] return. My former username was "pennnscottt," and my current username is "[redacted]" Thank you for your help. Scott Pennington.

I am trying to determine if someone has claimed one of my children as a dependent before I filed my return with TurboTax electronically on 1/30/21. Following TurboTax's instructions, I submitted my amended return to Fresno, CA on 2/1/21. I have outstanding child support payments. I did not receive the two stimulus checks issued, making me eligible for the rebate credit on my federal tax return, resulting in a $2,[redacted] refund.

After completing the entire form, it was mentioned that we are eligible to receive $6,[redacted] back from the state, which coincides with my pension amount. While the pension is subject to taxation, our income is below the threshold for federal taxes, resulting in no state taxes as well. I am perplexed by how this refund amount is possible. Upon reviewing Colorado's rules for pensions, it appears that it should be recorded on line 4a or 4b, categorized as IRA distributions. Something about this situation doesn't feel accurate, so I am hesitant to proceed with my return until I am confident in its accuracy.

Last year, I had an issue with my stimulus check being sent to the wrong address in Kent, Ohio, instead of Indianapolis where I had moved to. The check was sent to Huntington Bank, where I had a closed account. Also, I updated my address. Unfortunately, the check was returned to the IRS, and they have been trying to reach out to me. I have not received my last year's stimulus check or this year's. I was told I need to claim it on my taxes this year. The last time I filed my taxes was with TurboTax, so I am hoping they can assist me in resolving this matter and claiming both of my stimulus checks.

I've spent most of the day trying to access my [redacted] tax return to start my [redacted] return. The issue is straightforward. I relocated during the year, and the landline used for secondary verification got disconnected. It's the number for the verification code needed to prove my identity. Despite talking to three reps, I was put on hold indefinitely and disconnected. During the last call, I filled out a customer service change form, but the secondary security still won't let me in since it dials a disconnected line, and I don't get the code. I've submitted a copy of my passport for verification. Updating my contact info doesn't change the phone number on last year's return. Please help me access this self-employed tax file. The account is under my email address, and I know the correct password.

Last year, TurboTax filed my Illinois taxes, but I never received my return, and the Illinois Revenue Service has no record of it. When TurboTax requested my Illinois tax pin and I couldn't provide it without my gross income or an IL driver's license, I contacted the IL tax authority. They confirmed they had no information for me and advised me to file last year's taxes by mail. Despite using TurboTax Deluxe for this year's taxes, I believe the free version would have sufficed as my taxes weren't complex. TurboTax's attempt to upgrade me seemed unnecessary. I opted for TurboTax due to the delayed paper returns from COVID; however, I now want an explanation for the filing issue with Illinois and a refund for this year's tax service, as I may need to re-file my [redacted] taxes manually.

I submitted my tax return on 2/12/[redacted] as married, but not jointly with my spouse. I realized an error related to the $[redacted] stimulus check and tried to amend it but couldn't access the filing properly. The system redirected me to last year's joint filing attempt with my spouse, which I never completed due to being unable to retrieve the AGI. My husband and I are both retired, over 65, and not required to file. Concerning the mistake, we both received the first $[redacted] stimulus, and my husband got the second $[redacted] payment, but I did not. I mistakenly entered $[redacted] for myself when I should have put 0 since it was my husband who received that amount.

Subject: Issue with Social Security Number and Stimulus Payment Correction
Dear Turbo Tax Support,
I am writing to address an issue with my social security number. I have been using the same number since I was 16, and I am now 76 years old. Turbo Tax is not accepting it, which is a problem as I have been using your services for many years without any issues.
Additionally, I made an error in reporting the amount of my first stimulus payment. I had received $1,[redacted].00 instead of $[redacted].00, and I need to correct this information on my [redacted] tax return.
Could you please advise me on how to proceed and resolve these issues promptly?
Thank you for your assistance.

I encountered issues with the most recent TurboTax for Windows PCs (Home + Business) software update, R15.1, on 2/13/21. Despite attempting a manual download with assistance from a representative and addressing firewall settings, the update did not install successfully.
The agent informed me that other customers were experiencing the same problem, indicating that the issue lies on the software provider's end. Although I have waited since 2/13 for a patch to be released, as of 2/17, I have not received any software updates to resolve this matter.
I am unsure if a patch will be issued to address this problem. Should I proceed with filing my tax return without the R15.1 update? Will my return remain accurate without this update?
After calling multiple times and facing challenges, I am seeking to connect with a knowledgeable tech support engineer who can efficiently rectify this issue. Rather than an email, I would appreciate a callback at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.

I purchased Turbotax Premier through Amazon but encountered compatibility issues with my 10-year-old Mac when trying to install the software from the CD. Recently, I upgraded to a new Mac and attempted to download the program using the license code provided. Unfortunately, I received an error message stating that the license code was already associated with an account. I am seeking assistance from Intuit to resolve this issue so that I can use the program on my new computer. The license code in question is SLZ7-LHT6-VP49-U8FT. Thank you for any guidance you can provide. - John Y.

I recently installed TurboTax [redacted] on my computer that runs Windows 10. I successfully filed my taxes but now I am encountering an issue where I cannot open TurboTax to save or print them. An error message pops up stating, "Error [redacted] TurboTax is already running on another account. Switch users and run TurboTax from the other account to continue." However, I am the only user on my computer and there is no other account. I have attempted to troubleshoot this by restarting my computer, router, and Wi-Fi, as well as uninstalling and reinstalling TurboTax, but the issue persists.

I filed my federal and state taxes for [redacted] early on Feb. 4th through Turbotax. However, I received an email stating that my federal return was rejected on the 12th due to an error "IND-[redacted]-04 - The primary taxpayer's AGI or Self-select PIN from last year does not match IRS records." Even though my PIN is correct, this issue seems to be a software glitch in TurboTax, affecting many others. The bigger problem I'm facing is being unable to access my TurboTax account for a week now. Every time I try, it gets stuck loading with spinning balls endlessly. When attempting to contact support, I was met with a recording stating all operators were busy and to call back later. This loop continues, and I urgently need to file my taxes to receive the rebate I missed due to the previous TurboTax error. I'm frustrated as I paid $80 for this service, which has only caused me more stress. This needs to be resolved immediately.

I need assistance in filing my son's tax returns. He is both an American and Danish citizen. Our son, initials A.B., is 16.5 years old, born in August [redacted] in Kansas City while my husband worked there from 2[redacted]. We, both Danish citizens, moved back to Denmark in July [redacted], so A.B. hasn't lived in the US for even a year. Realizing he must file taxes as a US citizen, I seek help with this task. A.B.'s finances are simple without debts, salary, or tax deductions in Denmark due to low capital gains. His sole earnings come from stock capital gains. Considering renouncing his US citizenship due to lack of ties, we've consulted with an American immigration lawyer who advised filing the last 3 years of US tax returns is the first step. My questions include your ability to assist, your annual charges, and what information to provide. All his Danish bank statements are uncomplicated, as his funds are solely in Denmark. Anxiously awaiting your response and hoping for your assistance.

On Christmas Eve morning in [redacted], my family and I experienced a house fire. Despite being two months pregnant, I was the least physically affected. During the chaos, I inhaled a substantial amount of smoke and soot while trying to alert my sister to the danger. Following the incident, I was swiftly taken to Swedish Hospital in Seattle from Lakewood for medical assistance. Fortunately, my family, unborn baby, and I are now safe as our house is undergoing reconstruction. Regrettably, we lost over 75% of our possessions, including our phones, in the fire. I have always stored my account information meticulously, either in my personal planner, a secure location on my phone, or remained logged in on my main device. However, with all our belongings destroyed, accessing my old account details has proven challenging.
I am particularly in need of my [redacted] Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) from my old TurboTax account registered under [redacted] Despite recalling most details accurately, I am unable to retrieve the password associated with the account. This has hindered my ability to claim the economic impact payments throughout [redacted]. Furthermore, discrepancies with my bank details may have resulted in missed stimulus checks being directed to a closed account in collections. Seeking resolution, I aim to file for the recovery rebate credit but require IRS support to navigate these challenges.
Primarily, I urgently require access to my [redacted] AGI to progress with my outstanding tax obligations. While financial reimbursements are secondary, updating my account information remains crucial for any future stimulus check disbursements. Your prompt assistance in resolving these matters is greatly appreciated.

I need to update my phone number to pass the credit check with Credit Karma for my refund. I prefer to receive the refund on a card rather than waiting for a check in the mail. This process is frustrating and new to me. TurboTax, please improve your system, as I've been using your services for the past five years and am hesitant to sign the papers this year.
