I recently bought the Basic edition TurboTax Download for Tax Year [redacted], but it turned out to be for the [redacted] tax year instead. Purchasing with Quadpay to split the payment, I ended up paying the whole amount of $42.00 unexpectedly. This has caused me financial hardship as I needed the [redacted] tax software which I cannot afford now. I have not activated the [redacted] software and would like to return it for a full refund to my debit card ending in [redacted] promptly. Thank you.

I am concerned about an individual named Lloyd Scott who is associated with Turbo Tax. Mr. Scott's behavior includes drug-related activities, mistreatment of his family, and involvement in illegal activities. His brother Jonathan M. Scott, who has recently arrived in Los Angeles, has a criminal history and there are concerning discussions regarding the purchase of a firearm. I believe they are involved in serious criminal activities such as running a prostitution ring. I feel this behavior is unacceptable, and I am considering reporting this situation to various news outlets for further investigation.

Encountering Microsoft Installer Error [redacted] can be frustrating. One common reason for this issue is interference from anti-virus, anti-malware, or firewall programs. To resolve this, ensure you are logged in as an administrator, close all programs, and temporarily disable security software before retrying the update. Additionally, manually downloading the software updates from the TurboTax [redacted] website may also help. If the problem persists, restart your computer and repeat the steps. It's essential to follow these troubleshooting steps diligently. If after trying all this the issue persists, further assistance may be needed.

My spouse and I purchased tax services and audit representation from INTUIT TurboTax for the [redacted] tax year, totaling $[redacted], charged on June 5th, [redacted]. Unfortunately, TurboTax's website does not grant us access to these services, and we were not notified of any tax issues by them. After contacting the IRS ourselves, we were informed that our taxes require further review as they were not accepted. We were assured by TurboTax that everything was in order, only to discover this discrepancy. The IRS will be contacting us soon. Moving forward, we are eager to utilize the services we paid for. Here is the charge information from our bank account for your reference. We are hopeful for a resolution. Thank you. I missed a call from a TurboTax specialist last night regarding waiving fees due to an error made by a representative on my taxes. My charges were $[redacted] for Federal, $50 for Iowa, and $40 for a refund processing fee, totaling $[redacted]. These charges are incorrect as I only signed up for the live service, which should have been $90, and the fee related to the mistake should have been waived. I have contacted multiple representatives who agreed the charges should be voided. I want this matter resolved promptly as I've had to call in multiple times and waited on hold for hours. I have not received any discounts as advertised, despite filing before February 28. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to ensure this issue is resolved and the money is refunded from my federal tax return. Thank you.

I recently filed our [redacted] tax return online and discovered that we owe approximately $[redacted], which is unusual for us as we usually receive a refund. After reviewing the return for errors and finding none, I am concerned. As a disabled Desert Storm veteran battling health issues that affect my concentration and focus, staying current with important tasks like taxes has been challenging. Can Turbotax assist me in reviewing and amending the return if necessary? I have faithfully used their services for a decade and intend to do so in the future. I anticipate needing help with my [redacted] and [redacted] returns as well due to my health struggles. Your guidance on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated as I navigate this difficult situation. Thank you for your assistance.

I'm having trouble with Form [redacted] in the TurboTax program. I can't proceed no matter what I input, and it's unclear where to find the necessary number it's rejecting. The form mentions a Part II letter c. that doesn't exist. When trying to file my federal return, TurboTax keeps looping me back to fill out Form [redacted]. This is the only outstanding issue with my [redacted] taxes. Additionally, the program still asks about the [redacted] Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), even though legislation exempted it for [redacted]. Despite Boeing acknowledging the RMD exemption, their distribution included it. It seems there may be an oversight that needs to be corrected.

Unfortunately, TurboTax's website is not providing us with the necessary access to these services. Moreover, TurboTax did not alert us to any tax discrepancies. I, Bryan S., have yet to file my Federal or State taxes. Today, when I logged onto the website, I was surprised to see that my federal taxes had already been filed with a refund amount posted. This cannot be correct as I have not completed my online filing, and my Ohio state refund is also unfinished. When attempting to make corrections, I noticed several errors and inaccurate details. I do not have a mortgage or a [redacted] form, and the banking information provided is incorrect. I normally only file a W2 from my employer at Home Depot each year. The refund amounts do not match, and it seems like someone may have improperly used my information to file these returns. I believe a hacker is involved, and I need to inform the IRS to resolve this issue. I request to start over fresh with accurate information from my Home Depot W2 for the [redacted] tax year.

I have been using TurboTax Premier Online, and I have encountered an error in the program that is not allowing me to itemize my taxes despite the recommendation given. When I input the deductions, the program suggests itemizing for a lower federal tax. However, the top bar still shows the standard deduction estimates, and the standard deduction persists in the return as I proceed. I have revisited the deductions summary and tried selecting both standard and itemized deductions, but the standard deduction remains unchanged regardless of my selection. During the federal review, there is an error message that reads "Charitable contributions if you take the standard deduction." I kindly request to have this error rectified. If this is not resolved today, I would appreciate receiving a credit towards the TurboTax discount, which expires today.

I am currently on disability and have been caring for my two granddaughters. Unfortunately, we did not receive any stimulus money for them. My husband and I received the last payment of $2,[redacted]. Recently, my daughter submitted our information using TurboTax, but since I am on disability and he is not working, we do not get a return. I am hoping my granddaughters were added to the tax documents, so we can receive the stimulus money for them as well. Even though their social security numbers were included in the forms, we were not prompted to provide our banking information for direct deposit. In the past, we received our stimulus payment through direct deposit and we are hopeful that this time the children are included in our tax forms for the same. I could really use some assistance to resolve this matter. Thank you.

I am experiencing an issue with TurboTax where I encounter error [redacted], preventing me from opening the application. When attempting to access the solutions page for this error, I am redirected to a [redacted] error message indicating that the page does not exist. Clicking on the provided solution link leads me to another [redacted] error page, informing me that the requested page could not be found. After my return was rejected, I attempted to email regarding refiling but couldn't locate the right email address. I interacted with Harry online yesterday, finalized everything, and before refiling, I wanted to review it (if possible). Can I refile both returns, or do I need to mail them now? I forgot to inquire as I was exhausted after discovering most of my return was blank. Thankfully, I had a printed copy from the original. Harry mentioned it has happened to others even though I "saved" each time. The federal return was rejected, and I'm uncertain about the California state copy. Please advise on what steps I should take regarding the email address provided below!

I applied for the $[redacted] stimulus by filing my taxes, even though I usually don't file because I only receive SSDI benefits. I selected the FREE version but was charged $70 in fees when I received my check. After speaking with a representative, I was sent a link to apply for a refund. Unfortunately, my request was denied. I know there is a class action lawsuit for individuals like me who were wrongly charged fees using the FREE version. I demand the immediate return of the fees deducted. How you handle this will determine my next steps. Best, J.R. [redacted] Single [redacted] Refund: $[redacted] minus fees

When filing my taxes on TurboTax, I provided my direct deposit information for both state and federal returns. While my state return has the correct information, I noticed that my federal return displays a wrong bank account number. I am unsure how this mix-up occurred. It seems like I mistakenly confirmed the incorrect details. I am concerned about how to rectify this error. I must have made a mistake because my new bank account is not reflected accurately. I wish TurboTax could assist me in resolving this issue promptly. The IRS may need to be involved to correct the error. Dealing with this on my own has been a bit frustrating, but the IRS representatives have been kind and helpful in previous interactions.

Hi, I encountered an issue when attempting to electronically submit my tax return to Revenu Quebec through TurboTax. The submission was rejected due to an error related to Schedule P and the insertion of my daughter's name on line 50 and 51 conflicting with the tuition fee transfer. I have no control over line 74 as it is managed by the software. Revenu Quebec informed me that Schedule P should not be completed in my situation. This error is preventing me from successfully sending my return. How can I resolve this matter and either remove Schedule P or address the issue? Thank you, Sylvain G. Gatineau, Quebec

We received a tax refund from Maryland in [redacted] and are unsure if it's taxable. When filling out our taxes, it seems our refund may be fully taxable based on Schedule 1, line 9. However, when using the State and Local Income Tax Refund Worksheet for the [redacted] tax year, it indicates that none of the refund is taxable. We're confused about what to report on line 8 for other income. Maryland sends form 1099G to the IRS, raising concerns about reporting the refund incorrectly. We want to file our taxes accurately. Could you please clarify the correct procedure? Sincerely, Cuong B. and Nga Y. Nguyen

I used TurboTax to file my taxes, expecting a 50% advance on my $1,[redacted] refund from the IRS. When I requested a $[redacted] advance for a medical emergency, TurboTax denied it citing a technicality that was not clearly explained. My tax return is straightforward with all amounts at zero, and the IRS is crediting me $1,[redacted] from the stimulus. It is frustrating that TurboTax is withholding the advance I need for my medical issue, especially since it is my money. I am currently in California for medical treatment after flying from Hawaii. I would appreciate any help to resolve this quickly. Thank you.

I used TurboTax last year to file my taxes, but I never received my return. I only earned $[redacted], so I didn't really need to file, but I did pay taxes on it. I should have gotten around $39. Now, I'm trying to use TurboTax again, but I can't get past the "let's keep going" screen. H&R Block's free file is asking for a copy of my 2[redacted]. Can someone please check if my previous filing went through and let me know what happened to my refund? I prefer using TurboTax, but I'm having issues and it keeps crashing. I just need my second stimulus check and the tax refund. It's been a challenging year. Thank you, stay safe and healthy. - Anthony S.

After completing my tax return, I encountered an issue with filing due to a message requesting more information regarding my IRA withdrawal related to COVID. The message explained that updates are still being worked on for retirement distributions qualifying for disaster or Covid relief. Although the amount is taxable, the penalty is waived due to Covid circumstances. I am concerned about the timeframe for these updates and the processing delay in printing and sending to the IRS, which could take 4-6 weeks. Despite trying to contact customer support, I was unable to reach anyone and received a message saying there was no support available for my account. This lack of assistance after being a loyal Turbotax customer for 25 years is disappointing. Any assistance with the update timeline and resolution would be greatly appreciated.
