My phone was hacked approximately three weeks ago, and my ability to use my cell phone and other accounts linked to my cell phone progressively got worse. My phone is now totally disabled. I need my TextNow number because I used it as my reset phone number in case I got locked out of my regular phone number or accounts, such as my internet account and cell phone account. I also used it as an alternative to my regular cell phone and email accounts. I am totally blocked from these accounts because I am unable to access the TextNow phone number or service. My business number, ([redacted]), which I use regularly, was unexpectedly released within the last day or so. I rely on this number for contacting potential clients to sustain my income. I am unsure why this happened and now have a new random number assigned to me that is of no use as my clients are familiar with my old one. After my phone was stolen, I had to erase it remotely and wait to get a new one and a new phone plan. In the meantime, I used my girlfriend's phone number and TextNow number to make calls. When I finally got my new phone, I tried to sign into my old email account but couldn't because my 2-step verification was linked to the lost phone number, an email address Google doesn't accept, and the expired TextNow number. I urgently need to access that number to recover my account with all the precious photos of my daughter saved on Google Photos. Due to a strained relationship with her mother, these images are extremely valuable to me. Is there any way I can regain access to that number, even if just for a short time? I had a TextNow account that got hacked, causing me to lose important texts and information. It's distressing that my account now seems to have vanished entirely. Despite creating a new account with the same email and password, my focus remains on trying to recover my previous one. I purchased a prepaid phone that was originally from Sprint, and later switched to Boost Mobile without a contract. For the past 6 to 7 months, I received shortcode messages for the 2-step verification process without any problems. However, recently, I have not been receiving the vital codes required to access important accounts. The company I am dealing with assures me that they are sending the codes, but nothing appears in the TextNow messaging center. Yesterday morning, my girlfriend took my phone before she was taken by EMS due to her current mental health state. When I realized she had taken it and was already at the hospital, I contacted them to retrieve it. The hospital requested my ID and a phone bill in my name as proof that I pay the bills. I went to the store to get a printed copy of the bill but they noticed my ID address didn't match the bill, so they updated it, causing a notification to be sent to the phone. Despite providing the required documents at the hospital, they wouldn't give me the phone. Later, they transferred her elsewhere and wouldn't disclose her location. All my important contacts are in that phone, and I can't access them because I forgot my email password linked to my TextNow account, which also contained my game accounts. After logging out of my TextNow account, I attempted to log back in, but received a notification stating my password was incorrect. Despite entering the correct password, I was still unable to access my account. I attempted to reset my password by clicking the "forgot password" link multiple times, but did not receive any email notifications as promised. I have taken further steps such as reinstalling the app and resent the password reset request numerous times, but I have not received any communication from TextNow to assist me in resetting my password.
