Upon returning from my vacation, I was eager to play R6S, only to find it wasn't downloaded. I then discovered that all my games on Steam were uninstalled, which was quite unusual. After attempting basic troubleshooting like restarting my computer, the issue persisted. When I tried to reinstall R6S, I noticed my PC was nearly at full storage capacity despite having zero games installed. It seems like the games are occupying space without being present. The only games unaffected were Rise of Nations: Extended Edition and Escape From Tarkov. I hope to resolve this storage space dilemma so I can download my games again.

During the summer Steam sale, I purchased "The Sims 3" but haven't downloaded it yet. I've previously played the game through family sharing with a friend. However, despite these circumstances, Steam has declined my refund request. Is there any way to still get a refund for the game I purchased but have not played at all?

I clicked on a link for a free Steam game, but when I attempted to download it, I was prompted to log in. After logging in, I received an email informing me that a phone number was added to my account, followed by another email changing my email and password. I have dedicated a significant amount of money and time to my account and games, and now I am unable to access them. The email indicated that the login originated from the IP address [redacted].55.[redacted].69 (RU), even though I reside in Scotland.

I was disappointed during the Steam Summer Sale when several games from my wishlist disappeared from my cart just before I could check out. I was using the mobile app for the purchase, and now I'm hoping for assistance in securing the discounted rates for these missing games. It was frustrating to miss out on completing my purchase due to this issue.

I received a link for a free game on Steam. When I tried to download it, I was prompted to log in. After logging in, I received an email informing me that a phone number was added to my account, followed by notifications that my email and password were changed. I have spent a significant amount of money and time on my account and games, and now I am unable to access them. If there is a way to recover my account, I am prepared to provide any necessary proof of ownership. Thank you.

Hello, I am reaching out on behalf of my son David regarding his account, minecraft2june. David used his pocket money to purchase Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 from your platform but was disappointed with the game's performance. The game took a long time to load, experienced significant lag, and was essentially unplayable on his device. Despite attempting to adjust the graphics settings to mitigate the issues, the game continued to perform poorly, displaying error messages during loading. Upon seeking a refund, David encountered unsatisfactory customer service. While we understand the necessity of refund policies, we believe an exception is warranted in this instance. David spent a considerable amount of time troubleshooting the game rather than actively playing it, thus the recorded playtime does not accurately reflect his gaming experience. David values your service and hopes to continue purchasing games from your platform in the future. We kindly request your understanding and a reconsideration of his refund request. Looking forward to your response. Thank you. Gary D.

Two days ago, I was playing an online game of Rocket League when I suddenly got disconnected. Concerned, I checked my Steam account and noticed that everything, including my Steam messages, was showing as "disconnected." I then saw a prompt asking me to re-enter my password. After attempting to do so multiple times without success, I tried to exit Steam, only to be prompted again to re-enter my information, this time including my username. Even after correctly entering everything, I still couldn't access my account. I then tried logging into an alternate account successfully, but when I attempted to return to my main account, I encountered a message stating that "my credentials were changed." I suspect my account may have been hacked, and I am unsure of the next steps to take. Any guidance is appreciated.

Last year, I purchased GTA 5, and it initially worked well. However, after a month, it stopped launching. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it twice, even repurchasing it on July 10, [redacted], hoping to solve the issue, but to no avail. I am disappointed as I cannot get a refund. Strangely, the system shows I have played 52 hours, which is not possible as it was downloading all night. I kindly request a refund for the game due to this ongoing problem. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I recently got a message from a friend on Steam chat asking me to visit a certain website. When I entered my login details, I got a notification that my account's email address was changed and phone number removed. I have reached out to Steam Support online with additional information and screenshots. I am considering trying to call them or sending another message through this platform to speed up the process. I hope to regain access to my account promptly and minimize any potential harm. Thank you.

I recently received a message on Steam from an individual claiming there was a security issue with my account due to a hacker compromising my Steam API. I had transferred my CS:GO items to a friend for safekeeping, but they were taken by another bot. I have documentation to support this, including notepads and screenshots. The person who contacted me while on my account stated that due to detected viruses and illegal programs attributed to me, my account has been banned. I did not add them as a friend or accept any requests. They mentioned that purchasing, gifting, trading, CD key activation, and Steam Community access would all be disabled. It was suggested to move any tradable items to a different account to avoid permanent removal upon the ban. They indicated that a detailed report would be sent to my email address at [redacted] The message emphasized that a VAC ban would render the account useless, prohibiting access to Valve secured servers and item trading.

Hello, I'm Andrew. I created a Steam account years ago, and I've invested in many games and contacts by purchasing Steam money. On June 28, I added $50 in Steam money to my account, but it got locked, and I was unable to access it. I reached out to Steam support with ticket numbers HT-V2V8-KKR2-P4BH and HT-2FCX-YTRB-BB53, but I haven't had any luck resolving the issue. Although I understand security measures, I'm confident the account belongs to me. I've submitted various documents, including proof of Steam money purchases, to verify my identity. Unfortunately, I couldn't provide a video file from my phone accessing the account before it got locked. I'm exploring options with my credit card company, but I prefer not to be refunded the > $[redacted] I've spent on Steam over the years. My main goal is to regain access to my account as I value the personal information stored there from over three years of being on Steam. I'm looking for a customer service solution that satisfies both sides. Thank you for your assistance. Regards, Andrew

I recently fell victim to a scam where someone posed as a Steam representative and managed to steal all my in-game items. I reached out to Steam for help, but they informed me that they do not monitor stolen items. The scammer tricked me by posing as Steam bots or Mobile Authenticators, and the message displayed on my screen threatened to close my account if I didn't accept a trade offer. I declined the offer, and when I tried to access my account later, all my items were gone. Despite running virus scans that found nothing, my items were still missing. I'm now wondering if there's any way for me or Steam to recover these stolen items.

My account is messed up, and I can't log in. My name is Troy, and I've used XXTroy69XX for a while. Recently, it got changed, and I suspect my friend Matthew, who now has my old phone with my information. When I search for friends in the community, I find my account as "Laffen" with all my friends on it. Matthew keeps changing the email attached to it, and it's frustrating. The account has only two games purchased, "Ark Survival Evolved" and "Garry's Mod," using various emails like [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted] I want my account back, but Matthew won't return it. Screenshots of the account and our conversations are available to prove it's mine.

I fell victim to a scam and bought 5 Steam Wallet gift cards for $[redacted] each which remain unused. Despite activation during purchase, they have not been redeemed. When I requested a refund at Game Stop where I bought the cards, the store refused as they couldn't confirm their status. This contradicts the information on your website about refunding activated but unredeemed cards. The store manager denied a refund stating their inability to assess the cards' value. I contacted Game Stop Customer Support who also declined to assist, claiming ownership of activated cards upon leaving the store. Their stance conflicts with your stated refund policy for such cards. The ordeal and lack of assistance are distressing. I seek your help in facilitating the $[redacted] refund for the 5 cards. Thank you, Ryan S.

I have unfortunately fallen victim to a scam and bought 5 $[redacted] Steam wallet gift cards that have not been used. Despite my efforts to seek a refund at the Game Stop located at Spradlin Farm on Conston Avenue in Christiansburg, Virginia, the store refused to help, stating they couldn't verify card status. As per the information on your website regarding refunding activated but unredeemed cards, I am requesting assistance as the store and Game Stop's customer support have been unhelpful. Despite explaining the discrepancy between the store's policy and your guidelines, Game Stop said they wouldn't take action. This experience has been distressing, and I seek your support in refunding my $[redacted] investment for these unused cards. My name is R. Sunshine. Thank you.

I encountered an issue with downloading PUBG, requiring two attempts due to an error code, totaling around two to three hours. Upon installation, I encountered an MSVCP140.dll error message when trying to play. After six hours of resolving the missing files, I finally managed to get the game running. However, I experienced slow performance and glitches after only five minutes of gameplay. The playtime logged may be inaccurate due to the persistent error message preventing actual gameplay. I purchased the game on July 7th but have only been able to play for five minutes. I am requesting a refund for this issue. Let me know if you need any additional information. - R. Morris

I am experiencing issues trying to start many of my games, both old and new. When attempting to launch a game from my Steam library, it displays a message saying "The Game is Launching," but then fails to start. This problem initially started with Civ 5 about a year ago and has now extended to other games like Europa Universalis IV. I have tried numerous solutions found online, but none have resolved the issue. Even when my friend tried playing on his computer using my account, the games still wouldn't work. I have invested a significant amount of money in my Steam account and would appreciate it if Steam could help me either fix the problem or transfer my games to a new account where they work properly.

I have been receiving notifications from Steam about login attempts to my account from various locations, even though I have not provided any access. It is concerning that the individuals attempting to log in have my correct email and password. I have run multiple security software scans, but nothing has been detected on my system. They have not gained access to my email or bank accounts, but somehow, they continue to acquire my Steam password despite my efforts to change it. Here are some examples of the locations mentioned in the emails I receive: - Russia: [redacted].[redacted].[redacted].[redacted] - Canada: [redacted].[redacted].[redacted].[redacted] - Algeria: 41.[redacted].[redacted].69 - Vietnam: [redacted].[redacted].46.38 - Thailand: 1.10.[redacted].93 - China: [redacted].88.52.[redacted] Any assistance in resolving this issue and understanding how my password is being compromised would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased a game in November [redacted] and played it for 28 hours. However, I accidentally bought it again yesterday, and it won't load. I requested a refund from Steam, but they denied it because of my previous 28 hours of playtime. The game I bought yesterday is the one not working; I haven't even played it yet. I was still charged for it, and I don't understand why Steam didn't flag that I already had the game. I only want a refund for the purchase from yesterday, as I can't get it to load. They keep referring to my 28 hours of playtime on the initial purchase, which isn't the issue. I need help resolving this and getting my money back for the recent purchase that isn't working.

I recently purchased a game, "CHKN," on Steam. Upon trying to load the game, it caused issues as it kept accumulating gameplay hours without launching. I reached out to the game's support and they fixed the loading problem. However, I faced more loading issues once in the game, spending 17 hours trying to play without success. After more support from the game's team, I was able to try it, but it was of poor quality and glitchy. I asked for a refund from Steam due to these issues, but they declined as I had surpassed 2 hours of gameplay time (mostly spent trying to get it to work). Despite explaining the situation in detail for a refund, I received the same refusal. I am disappointed with Steam's customer service in this matter. Thank you for any assistance or advice.
