Hello, I am a buyer on offerup.com and I recently purchased a trampoline from a seller last week. Despite the seller listing it as sold to me, they have not yet shipped the item to me. I reported this to OfferUp, but unfortunately, I did not receive a response from them. It has been six days since I made the purchase, and the seller has neither shipped the item nor responded to my messages, even though they have been reading them. The seller ultimately decided to cancel the sale. While I was disappointed, I am grateful that OfferUp refunded me. I will continue my search for a trampoline.

Hello, this is Beatriz Picazo. I used OfferUp to buy a YSL crossbody purse on July 29, [redacted]. The seller initially agreed to my offer of $[redacted] for the purse listed at $[redacted]. However, after receiving a receipt showing $[redacted].69, I informed them that this was not our agreed amount. They then canceled the offer and asked me to resend the $[redacted] offer, but I received the same $[redacted].69 total. Despite my clear communication about the price discrepancy, they processed the transaction and shipped the purse. I am disappointed and would like to return the purse and receive the $[redacted].69 difference refunded. I have all the text messages for reference. Any help on resolving this issue would be appreciated.

I sold my PS4 on July 26, and as of August 2, I still haven't received payment. The buyer quickly made a false claim that the item wasn't working once he got it, and now he's unresponsive. This fraudulent behavior is concerning, and I am eager to either get my item back or receive the payment owed. I'm disappointed with OfferUp's lack of intervention; I've been an active member since [redacted]. When I retrieved the item from the post office after the buyer sent it back, I found that the box was poorly sealed, and the unit was cracked and damaged. It's evident the buyer tampered with it. I took photos at the post office for evidence. I request compensation for OfferUp's oversight in letting the buyer keep my item for an extended period, giving him the opportunity to damage it. Please address this issue promptly.

Hello, my name is Jahaziel R Morales, and my mother Lizzette Oyo just went through a fraud. We want to know what we should do because we spent $[redacted] on shipping for an item we agreed on purchasing, but now the person is requesting more money, sending what seemed to be genuine payment documents with PayPal logos. We contacted PayPal, and they confirmed it was a scam. The individual has been pressuring my mother for money, even after we sent the package yesterday. We plan to intercept it today, but this situation is affecting my mother's health along with the $[redacted] already spent. Dealing with this harassment is unsettling. We are seeking guidance on how to proceed as we trusted the person initially.

I recently received an art piece I ordered online, and to my disappointment, it arrived with inadequate packaging. The picture wasn't protected with bubble wrap or padding, and the box was flimsy, with no fragile label. One corner of the picture was even exposed due to insufficient sealing. While the artwork itself is beautiful, the frame fell apart as I was unpacking it, which was not disclosed in the item description. Seeking a solution, I visited Michael’s for repair options, only to find the frame irreparable, with a replacement cost exceeding $[redacted]. I've contacted the seller, who agreed for me to keep the damaged item after issuing a full refund. Now, I need guidance on how to close this case, as I am unfamiliar with the process. I have documented the packaging and the item's condition through photos.

Hello, my name is Diana and I saw a listing for a [redacted] Mazda RX8 being sold by Nick in Norfolk. I am interested in the vehicle, but I am uncertain about its legitimacy as I do not have the VIN number to verify. Nick is asking for $[redacted], and I countered with $[redacted]. The car is black and red with a silver exterior, manual 6-speed, and has a sunroof. I am located near the airport in Sandston, Virginia. Please contact me at [redacted] or email me at [redacted] to provide more information. I am a bit cautious as the deal seems too good to be true. Thank you.

Please assist me! I verified my OfferUp account with Facebook, name, and pictures, but it keeps asking for my phone number verification. I don't have data, I rely on my home Wi-Fi. Every time I try to input my number, it says it's invalid and may require data. This issue is preventing me from posting. I'm a sincere seller who values the app greatly. Please remove the phone number verification requirement from my account. My Wi-Fi-dependent TextNow number is not working for verification. It's crucial for me to resolve this problem. Thank you.

I came across an ad from a seller named Shannon on OfferUp who was offering an iPhone 8 Plus for $[redacted]. After facing issues with Cash App, we conducted the transaction through Western Union. Following the payment made last Monday, Shannon confirmed receiving the money and assured me of shipping the item the next day. Unfortunately, due to the removal of the listing on OfferUp, our messages were deleted, but I had her phone number saved. Despite being blocked after inquiring about the shipment, I persisted by reaching out from different numbers, yet Shannon's responses were evasive and led to further blocking. I attempted to seek assistance from OfferUp, but to no avail. Presently, I am still awaiting a response after contacting her from another number this morning.

After I sold an item and dropped it off at UPS, OfferUp requested my bank deposit information, address, and the last four digits of my Social Security number. I reluctantly provided this information, feeling uneasy about giving out my sensitive details online. I was then asked a third time for my full Social Security number, which I hesitantly provided to process the payment. Subsequently, I was asked to upload a picture of my driver's license. I am concerned about the security of providing so much personal information for a small payment, as it could lead to identity theft. I wish there was a way to discuss alternatives with someone, but there is no available phone number.

After selling an item, I dropped it off at UPS. I was immediately asked for deposit information from OfferUp. I provided my bank details. Then I received a second request for my address and the last four digits of my Social Security number. Despite feeling uneasy about sharing this sensitive information, I reluctantly entered it. Subsequently, I was asked for my full Social Security number for a third time. Understanding the risks, I hesitated but proceeded to enter it to process my payment. Finally, I was requested to upload a picture of my driver's license. I’m concerned about the amount of personal data requested as it poses a significant risk if compromised. I couldn't find a contact number to discuss alternative payment methods or clarify the process with OfferUp.

After selling an item and dropping it off at UPS, I was prompted by the OfferUp app for my deposit information. I initially provided my bank details. Subsequently, a second request asked for my address and the last four digits of my Social Security number. Despite feeling uneasy, I shared the information. A third request was made for my full Social Security number, which I hesitantly entered. Lastly, I was asked to upload a picture of my driver's license, which made me uncomfortable. I am hesitant about supplying such personal data, fearing potential identity theft repercussions. The absence of a listed contact number for OfferUp prevents me from discussing alternate payment methods or voicing my concerns directly.

I suspect that stolen items were being sold at a yard sale in Orange County via OfferUp over the weekend. The Facebook post featuring the OfferUp listing has been removed, preventing me from seeing what was being sold. I have also been blocked by the individuals involved. I am wondering if there is a way to access archived listings or track the deleted post. I have a screenshot of the location but limited information. I am unsure if authorities can assist due to jurisdiction and the challenge of tracing goods in such cases. The sellers took measures to obstruct visibility during the sale. Any guidance on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated as I aim to cooperate with the authorities. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I bought a camper for $[redacted] from a lady who assured me the license plates were current. However, upon trying to register it, the police informed me that she was not the rightful owner. When I confronted her, she denied it and tried to provide a fake registration. After requesting a refund, she initially agreed but is now ignoring me. As a student planning to live in the camper, this situation is distressing. I need my money back as I fear the camper may be stolen. Please assist me in resolving this urgent matter.

I am frustrated with the recent changes in shipping costs using UPS. I am concerned about what happens if I sell and ship an item that is overweight at the UPS store, exceeding the prepaid label weight. There seems to be a lack of clarity on who is responsible for the difference in weight and ensuring that the buyer receives the package. I believe there should be a higher weight category option or a return to using USPS for shipping. I expected to have a choice in how I send my items when UPS was introduced alongside USPS, not a complete switch. It's important to clarify who covers the cost of overweight packages and guarantee that buyers receive their items. Your response is appreciated.

I noticed that my bank statement shows a double charge for one item today. The seller, Jessica R. from Elk Grove, Ca, had initially put the item on hold but had to cancel and have me request it again. Despite being credited for one item, I was still charged twice for the other item. Moreover, my bank statement is displaying "RECURRING CHARGES" for some purchases. I need assistance with resolving these issues. Please advise on how to proceed. Thank you. - Annette R.

I recently purchased a pair of Lebron 15 basketball shoes from a seller named Niko on OfferUp. Unfortunately, I later discovered that the shoes were counterfeit. Despite my efforts to resolve the issue, I was unable to get a return or refund. When I tried to resell the shoes, they were removed for being fake. I believe it is unfair that I am unable to address this situation properly. In my opinion, OfferUp should not allow sellers to deceive buyers with counterfeit items. I feel that I should receive a refund for the $[redacted].80 I spent on the shoes, and Niko should be prohibited from selling fake products.

On August 11, [redacted], John from Riyadh, SA listed Apple Air Pods for sale. I agreed to buy them, provided my shipping address, and sent the money to his cash tag "kevwilliams117." After confirming he received the payment and would ship the package, I never received the item. Multiple attempts to contact him for tracking information or updates were ignored. This was my first time using OfferUp, and I fear I've fallen victim to a scam. As of August 18, [redacted], John still has two listings for Apple Air Pods and an Apple Watch Series 2 in Villa Rica, GA. I hope OfferUp can assist in refunding me and preventing John from scamming others on the platform. Thank you.

I received a notification from OfferUp informing me that the owner of the "Split End Hair Trimmer" had been notified to ship it. I reached out to him, and he mentioned that he shipped it on Friday. I checked the tracking number yesterday morning and it indicated that the delivery would arrive on Wednesday. However, when I returned home after being out all day, I was surprised to find a notification that the package had been delivered. I hurried back home, but unfortunately, the package was not there. I reside in an apartment complex and suspect that it may have been stolen. Despite this, I marked the item as received so the owner could receive payment as he had fulfilled his part by shipping it. I contacted the postal service, and the manager indicated that the package was delivered, and without a protection plan, there is nothing they can do. Nevertheless, I am left without the item I ordered and would appreciate a refund.

I recently bought a pair of Travis Scott tennis shoes for $[redacted].56. After sending proof of payment, the seller claimed to be at USPS and provided a photo. However, he stated he needed to verify the payment by receiving an additional $[redacted].56 through a different method since he didn't have a government-issued ID. I asked him to cancel the order so I could explore other payment options. Unfortunately, he never responded and has now blocked me, even changing his profile name on Offerup. I've attempted to reach out through different phone numbers, but he keeps blocking me. I've contacted Offerup and am now waiting for their assistance to resolve this matter.
