I kindly request Nextdoor to reinstate my account at [redacted] A friend handling a related matter was allegedly reported by a Newport Beach city official for disclosure of confidential information. If this is the reason for my account suspension, it is based on incorrect information. My actions were prompted by concerns regarding the hiring of an inexperienced city manager with political affiliations to the city council, which I expressed politely on Nextdoor. I obtained the candidate’s name from a different source and maintained respect throughout my communication. Despite sending two emails to Nextdoor without receiving any response, I remain hopeful for a prompt resolution to this matter and the reactivation of my account. Thank you for your attention to this request.

I live in Bel Aire/Cypress Hollow neighborhood, which borders Strawberry, where I have more contacts. I don't relate to my current neighborhood and wish to change it to Strawberry ([redacted]). Unfortunately, Next-door doesn't allow me to switch neighborhoods without physically moving.
Could you please update my neighborhood to Strawberry?

Since mid-June, I have not been receiving emails. When I click "resend the verification email," I get a message to verify my email. After doing so, the pop-up says I have verified my email and can continue. However, the red banner persists. Previously, the banner would turn white after verification, and I would start getting emails the next day. I had a neighbor forward me an email, but even then, the banner remains red. I've checked all settings, and everything seems fine. Any assistance on this is appreciated. Thank you.

In mid-July [redacted], I realized there was an issue with the boundaries of the Goldenrod neighborhood overlapping the HOA Neighborhood. This led to me being incorrectly assigned to the wrong neighborhood. Customer support initially promised a 14-day poll to address the problem once I could adjust the boundaries. However, after the 14 days passed, I was informed that they forgot to set up the poll. Now, in mid-August, I have received no response to resolve the issue. Due to this ongoing frustration, I have decided to deactivate my account.

I had to wait for weeks to receive a response regarding the issue of receiving one posting at a time instead of the entire list at once. This flood of emails is inconvenient for me as I prefer to scan and choose what I want to read. Recently, it reverted back to sending me individual postings, which I do not want. I enjoy participating in Nxt door but do not want to receive them this way. I have missed some posts, including the events listed at the end, due to this change.
Kindly send me the complete list in one email and stop sending individual listings.
Thank you,
Jann

For a while, I didn't need to sign in to NextDoor to post in my community because I kept a live webpage open. However, after clearing my browser, I've been unable to log in to my account for months now. I get email notifications of new posts but can't view them as I'm prompted to log in, which doesn't work with my password. Despite trying to change it, I'm stuck. I can't access any help pages on NextDoor, and neither can my neighbor, who is facing a similar issue. Resetting my account would be greatly appreciated. - James Y.

I encountered a problem with the app resulting in account suspension due to false complaints claiming my name does not match the account. This unexpected suspension led to loss of transactions and severed connections. Neighbors who try to contact me see a message saying "USER SUSPENDED," creating misunderstandings. I want my account unsuspended or provided with a new activation code and I hope to know who made these complaints. The login issue persists, and some suggest this happened because of my Italian name, hinting at racism. This app is essential for community communication. I assure that all my account details are accurate. Dealing with online bullies and imposters issuing false complaints is distressing. Being banned for having a unique name irrespective of account accuracy is unjust. Although Nextdoor expressed eagerness for my return, the problem remains unresolved. Kindly lift the suspension. Thank you.

Now you banned me again so I cannot log in? What is my crime now?
Hello Roz,
Thank you for the reply. The issue here is that either you ban/remove everyone who self-promotes unsolicited content or you let everyone post freely. Singling out my posts about my services while allowing others to do the same is discriminatory. Banning my friendly and helpful service posts to neighbors but allowing others is unjust. I have no problem informing my neighbors about Nextdoor's double standard. I have encountered over nine instances of allowed self-promotion on Nextdoor, some up for months, while mine were removed within 24 hours. I am considering sharing my experience with the news and social media to highlight this unfair treatment. You have been informed.
Sincerely, Colin Bond [redacted] [redacted]

I am having trouble accessing my Nextdoor business account. When I log on, it shows my location as CA, but I am actually in South Carolina. I've tried to update the address with no success, and attempts to delete the account or create a new one have failed as well.
Business Name: Pet Wellness and Beauty
Service Location: Highway 14, Simpsonville, South Carolina
Phone: [redacted]
I would appreciate it if you could check the address associated with my account and update it to the correct location. Additionally, I need assistance resetting my password to regain access to Nextdoor.
Thank you for your help,
Jen

I have noticed that my post titled “Wait! What? Please keep your domestic pets indoors” has been removed from Nextdoor. My post engaged in a valuable conversation regarding a neighbor's unethical and illegal intentions toward pets. I made sure to adhere to Nextdoor guidelines and offered factual information to counter misleading claims. It is disappointing that my post aiming to clarify misconceptions was removed, while false information persists. This raises concerns about Nextdoor's impartiality. I believe in the importance of sharing accurate information within our community. Restoring the post would allow neighbors to access important perspectives and facts. Censoring this post seems to infringe on my freedom of speech. I hope for a resolution and look forward to your reply.
Respectfully,
JG

I shared a message on Nextdoor alerting parents about a man standing outside our children's elementary school. I aimed to inform them of the situation without expressing any personal opinions on the matter. Despite my neutral stance, some members reacted negatively to my post, leading to backlash and, ultimately, the deactivation of my account. I included a photo of the man who was peacefully protesting against gay marriage. I stressed in my post that the man was polite and non-confrontational. I never intended to incite controversy but simply believed parents should be aware of a stranger near the school. However, my account was deactivated without a clear explanation, leaving me puzzled and feeling unfairly targeted. I didn't anticipate sparking conflict but merely sought to share relevant information with fellow parents.

We recently moved to a new area in SaddleBrooke Ranch, but many GPS and UPS systems struggle to locate us. I was a member of Nextdoor in CO and tried to update my address and neighborhood, but Nextdoor cannot verify my new address. Despite sending three emails to their help desk, I have not received any response. My wife, R.W. ([redacted]), faced a similar issue, which was promptly resolved back in February. I'm seeking assistance as we are still unable to make the necessary changes. Our new address is [redacted] E, Happy Jack Trail, and my email is [redacted] Any help would be appreciated. Dear Ami,
A few weeks ago, there was an issue on Nextdoor regarding some members possibly bullying or bashing a post by Lillian Robberson. I was involved and disagreed with this behavior, feeling it was not in line with Nextdoor's policy to bash others. Surprisingly, I was suspended without any explanation. Despite sending several emails to seek clarification, I have not received a response. I acknowledge the fine line between bullying and expressing frustration and feel I crossed it unknowingly. I sincerely apologize for my actions. As a recent widow who relies on the app for neighborhood updates, I kindly request to be reinstated at your earliest convenience.
Kind regards,
Eileen Calabro

Dear Ami,
I would like to address an incident that occurred a few weeks ago regarding inappropriate behavior targeting a post by Lillian Robberson. Some individuals were offended by bullying and others by negative comments about Lillian's post. Personally, I found this behavior uncharacteristic of Nextdoor.com's policy, which discourages bashing. However, I was suspended from the platform without receiving a notification specifying the reason. Despite emailing Nextdoor.com multiple times, I have not received clarification. After reviewing Nextdoor's policies, I acknowledge the fine line regarding bullying but believe my actions were driven by frustration over one-sided negativity towards a company. I sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding and request reinstatement on the platform. Following the loss of my husband a year ago, I rely on the app to stay updated on neighborhood activities like recent incidents. I kindly ask for your prompt assistance in resolving this matter.
Thank you, Eileen Calabro

I have inadvertently created two accounts for the same location. I filled out my profile on the app but received a warning that I did not respond to the email verification. There is a typo in the email address it is trying to send this verification to. I am unable to update the correct email in my profile. When I log into the website, I use the correct email, yet the profiles do not link. I need to access the filled-out profile on my app, which should be under [redacted], not "[redacted]" due to the misspelling preventing me from receiving the verification link.

My username on Nextdoor is [redacted], and my account has been suspended. After being requested to update my profile with my real name, my account was still suspended due to another user's complaint about me encouraging voting on election day. Nextdoor mentioned they wanted me to return but did not lift the suspension. I am unsure how to proceed in resolving this issue as my attempts for assistance through their help page have not been acknowledged.

A member of Emerald Ridge HOA in Winter Garden, Florida, identified as Drew Withers, unlawfully recorded our recent quarterly meeting and shared it on Nextdoor without authorization. During the meeting, we addressed confidential matters involving police officers, homeowner violations, and other sensitive topics with the expectation of privacy. This violation has caused distress among our board members and compromised our security. Florida law mandates consent for recordings, let alone their public dissemination. Although Nextdoor removed the post initially, it has been reposted by the individual. We urge for measures to prevent this from happening again. Please consider the Florida wiretapping law, or the "two-party consent" law, which requires all involved parties to agree to having their communications recorded.
