I suspect the buyer had ill intentions. They persistently messaged me between 2-3 am, refusing to let me authenticate the bag despite my offer. Their claim of having a connection at LV fueled my suspicions. Their resistance to authentication made me uneasy, reminding me of a past scam on eBay. This was my first sale; I now understand the importance of trusting my instincts about potential buyers. The absence of questions before the purchase raised red flags. I fear receiving negative feedback due to this encounter. This unsettling experience has left me sleepless and anxious. Despite never canceling before, this situation required immediate action. I contacted Mercari three times requesting to speak with a Live Operator to cancel a sale. The buyer's behavior raised red flags as she was pressuring me to not authenticate the bag and mentioned having connections at LV. Feeling uneasy about the transaction and drawing from a past bad experience on eBay, I decided to cancel. The buyer's lack of pre-purchase questions and late-night messages heightened my suspicion of a scam. I fear receiving negative feedback and urge Mercari to understand my predicament and remove the bag from the transaction without penalizing me. The item I purchased is m[redacted]7. I inquired about this item and the seller initially declined to lower the price. However, yesterday, I noticed a price drop alert from Mercari, so I made the purchase, and the item was promptly shipped. After re-reading the listing, I realized it didn't specify the number of sharpening stones included with the knife sharpener. I contacted the seller after payment and shipping, only to find out that one of the diamond stones had been removed from the package and was being sold separately. This means I am not getting what was originally advertised, as I thought I was receiving a knife sharpener with two diamond stones. The price is still decent, but it's not the deal I thought I was getting. I could return the item due to the missing component, but ideally, I'd like the seller to honor the original listing and provide the diamond stones as promised.

I noticed an issue with the shipping fees for two items I sold; listings #m[redacted]5 and #m[redacted]5. My customers were charged for shipping but it did not reflect on my receipt. I am concerned why I have not received a refund for the shipping fees I charged for. If I don't get a response on this matter, I may need to escalate it. I believe it's important to show a clear trail of the shipping funds, and I hope to get this sorted out soon. I purchased a Metropcs Stylo4 cell phone from a Mercari seller named Stephanie C. on February 24, [redacted]. She assured me that the phone was unlockable. Despite her claim, I have discovered that the phone can only be unlocked after [redacted] days of use with Metro. I used it for 31 days, from March 6 to April 5. The company's representatives have confirmed this policy. They have been unhelpful and did not provide me with the necessary account information. I'm not willing to continue using their service. While I gave Stephanie a positive rating, I now realize the phone cannot be unlocked as promised. I hope she can prove that it was used for [redacted] days; otherwise, I would like a refund or an unlocked phone of equal value. I had contact with Eric at Mercari regarding this matter. I received the incorrect product, but I initially thought it was my mistake since the sale went through. While I was away, my mom checked the mail and confirmed the delivery. I proceeded with the sale because I was going to be out of town for three days. The item was for my son, who did not like it, so I stored it away, and he never wore it. I purchased another pair that he preferred, ensuring I selected the correct item this time. The seller messaged me, threatening to report me for not informing her, but I genuinely did not realize the error as we returned from vacation on the 1st of the month and had left on March 21st, giving me little time to notice. I am willing to return the product as I really need a refund, given that I had to spend an additional $70 on the item my son wanted. I believe the seller should accept some accountability as she sent the wrong item, completed the sale, and would not have evidence to disprove my intention to return it. I bought an iPhone 6 in December. I inquired if it was unlocked, and the seller assured me it was. When I got the phone, I realized it was for Straight Talk. I immediately contacted Mercari as I believed the seller was dishonest. Mercari stated I had accepted the delivery, but I had planned to send it overseas. My uncle, visiting from abroad, tried to activate the phone, but Straight Talk said it was inactive. I want a refund or credit for the $[redacted] spent on Mercari for the iPhone 6.

I purchased three fraudulent items on Mercari from the seller "electronicombo." The Beats headphones I bought turned out to be knock-offs with fake serial numbers when I reached out to Apple for help. I discovered that two of the headphones had the same serial number, indicating they are not genuine. I am seeking a refund for the products and plan to report the seller for selling counterfeit goods. Should buyers be expected to inquire about every minute detail of a product before purchase? It seems unfair that the burden is placed solely on the buyer, rather than the seller being transparent. I feel disappointed and let down by the seller's lack of honesty in disclosing all the flaws. Furthermore, I think it is critical for sellers to include essential information like measurements in handbag descriptions to enhance the buying experience. This whole experience has made me reconsider recommending Mercari to others.

I am extremely frustrated by a recent buyer of my product who seems to have scammed me. I asked for the item to be returned, but the user, "Viturtle," vanished by deactivating their account. Any notifications related to the package now indicate the order was canceled. I bought an item and received it, but it does not match the listing. The seller had multiples of the item and sent me a different one with significant flaws not shown in the listing. I explained this to the seller, but they don't understand that they sent a different item. They want me to return it exactly as pictured, even though they sent a different item. I recently purchased a GoPro Hero 7 Silver from this website. However, I mistakenly ordered the wrong product and needed one with replaceable rechargeable batteries. I contacted the seller within hours to cancel my order but it seems they had already shipped it by then, even though I requested the cancellation immediately after realizing my error. The seller agreed to send more pictures, but I never received them. The following morning, I saw that the item had been marked as SOLD. My account was closed because I sold a Victoria's Secret ID wallet and "Better Than Sex" mascara, totaling approximately $26 in sales. I received a 90-day fund hold notification from the Mercari app. I have over $[redacted] in my account, and I don't think it's fair to have all my money withheld. If you want to hold the $26.27, that's fine, but please release the rest of my funds. Most of the money in my account is not from the items you specified I cannot sell. Interestingly, there are many users on the app selling counterfeit items, and I got the idea from them. It's ironic that they are not being shut down when I am being penalized.
