I am having issues with my MagicJack, as it prompts me to log in to use the phone. I am confused about the black and white adapters for computers - are they the same internally or is one an upgrade? I have only used my MagicJack about 10 times in 6 months due to various problems. I am hoping these issues can be resolved as I am currently without a phone. I recently renewed the phone adapter and vanity plate. When the dial pad appeared, my address book was listed but did not work. I also continue to receive renewal forms. The adapter has a different name than the one I renewed, resembling an older unit's number. When I attempted to log in, I received an error message about the account number. It has been over a year since I last logged in, and I cannot remember the correct account information.

I placed an order for MagicJack on March 8, [redacted], online. However, after entering all my information, the system rejected my DiscoverCard. I reached out to Customer Service for help and they were able to assist me in using my American Express card instead. With their help, I successfully set up my service and everything is working well. My assigned number is [redacted]. I specifically inquired with the Agent about the possibility of being double-billed since MagicJack already had my DiscoverCard information. I was assured I wouldn't be charged twice, but I see charges for $44.66 (American Express) and $48.09 (Discover) on the same day. Kindly refund me for the duplicate charge.

I have encountered several unexpected fees that were not clearly outlined initially. My expenses have now tripled from the original amount presented on the website. By the time my Canadian number is ported, I will have incurred another month's phone bill from my prior carrier, surpassing your thirty-day trial period. I am puzzled as to why the number porting process takes a whole month, as it typically only requires a single day for completion when initiated by a technician. Accessing genuine customer service beyond the sales line has proven to be a challenge. I strongly believe that customers should not be required to pay an additional fee for what is essentially basic, satisfactory service. I am eager for the number porting to be expedited and wish to be reimbursed for the porting expenses as well as the charges associated with maintaining a Canadian number for a year. I also propose that the 30-day guarantee commences once my number is successfully ported. If these conditions are not met, I am contemplating canceling the port and returning the device in order to receive a full refund before the guarantee period elapses.

I have a 5-year contract expiring on 12/16/[redacted]. Recently, the equipment has started giving me multiple error messages and losing service intermittently, even after speaking with technical support. The device works briefly after restarting it, but the errors persist. Interestingly, I can't use the phone when the errors occur, but I receive voicemails in Gmail. The router works fine, connecting the computer and smart TV to the internet. Missing important calls due to this issue is frustrating, and I'd appreciate a new unit with accessories to ensure reliable functionality. Despite planning to renew my service, I request a replacement now. Thank you. - AJ

We recently upgraded to MagicJack Go, but unfortunately, we're experiencing issues with it. After only setting up one device to test, we encountered a problem where our friend couldn't hear us during a call, even though we could hear them. When they tried calling back, they received a message saying we were unavailable. This is frustrating, and we've had difficulty reaching MagicJack's support team through phone or chat. Can this problem be resolved, or should we consider returning the MagicJack Go devices? We're seeking assistance from MagicJack support to address the issue. Thank you, Rick & Janet.

I am using OS Sierra on my iMac, followed the instructions provided, but my magicJack is still not working. Is there another solution available? Below are the steps I have already completed: 1. Downloaded the new Softphone application by double-clicking on "magicJackSetup.dmg". 2. Downloaded the new firmware updater for my magicJack and double-clicked on "mjisoupdate.dmg". 3. Plugged in my magicJack device to my Mac OS Sierra computer. 4. Waited for Terminal to start the upgrade process, ensuring not to unplug the device until completed. I have followed these steps as directed and am still experiencing issues with my magicJack.

I received an email this morning, April 7th, [redacted], informing me of a pending $39 charge for a Magic Jack account that I do not have. I have not used their services in years and have no interest in renewing. There was no automatic renewal agreement in place, so I request that any unauthorized transactions be cancelled. My email for reference is [redacted] The phone number provided in the email was [redacted]. The email mentioned the withdrawal would occur on April 14th, which I do not approve. I will be reporting this issue to the BBB and the financial crimes department at the Dallas Police Department.

I've been having trouble with my Magicjack service on my iPhone 5 due to an issue with my iCloud password. Because of this, I am unable to connect the Magicjack app on my phone. I'd like to set up the same Magicjack number on my wife's iPhone 6. Please email me at [redacted] with a link to do so, as I am currently out of the USA and cannot call the toll-free number for assistance. Thank you. -Arun B.

I want to report a potential scam incident. I received a call from a customer service representative on April 4th at 5 p.m. The number checked out as legitimate, and I paid $49.00 for a phone with one year of free service. Upon trying to register, I was directed to visit magicjackcares.com. Subsequently, I called [redacted] and was informed by another number, [redacted], that someone in Russia was using my MagicJack and that I had been scammed. I was told to pay $[redacted].00 to a company called AB Solutions to fix a supposed virus on my computer named Mebroot. This was indeed a scam.

I have had my MagicJack number for almost 10 years, renewing it annually. Due to a recent hospitalization, I missed the renewal about 3 months ago. Strangely, the unwanted and never-renewed numbers are showing in my account, but not mine. It is frustrating and confusing when a recording states my number is unassigned. There seems to be a serious issue with MagicJack's system and customer support. I urge MagicJack technicians to resolve this promptly. Please attach my number, [redacted], to my account for renewal. Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

I purchased a Magic Jack Go device a year ago, but it no longer opens on my computer or connects to WiFi. I keep receiving a "No Line" message on the phone. Despite trying basic troubleshooting steps like unplugging and restarting, I keep seeing an error message stating the app is not optimized for my Mac and needs an update for future macOS versions. I've spent hours trying to resolve this with no success. I've followed guidance from a website without finding the expected "Magic Fix" dropdown. It's frustrating not being able to use the phone service as usual. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. - Susan

Hello, I'm seeking assistance regarding my magicJack that a friend gifted me last September or August. It generally works well but currently, I am facing an issue where outgoing calls don't transmit my voice to the other end, though incoming calls work fine. I'm unsure if the account is still under my friend's name or if it has been transferred to me. My name is Bonnie Cornell, and my magicJack number is [redacted]. I urgently need my phone for important calls, including to my doctor's office. Could you please provide information on billing and guide me on changing the account details or making payments? Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and assistance.

I requested the porting of my home phone number, [redacted], to MagicJack more than two weeks ago. I was informed yesterday that there is an issue. The discrepancy seems to be with the address between MagicJack and Verizon. On Verizon, Plumstead township is listed instead of Doylestown city, but both share the same zip code, which correctly identifies Doylestown as the city. The street address matches on both accounts. I urgently require the phone number to be ported as I am switching from Verizon to Comcast and need to disconnect only after the porting is complete. Your assistance in expediting this process would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Jeffrey F. [redacted] Jacob Stout Rd Unit 8 Doylestown, PA [redacted]

I switched my home phone service from Bell to Fido, but kept the same number. I have MagicJack set up on both my home phone and computer, and it works well. However, I now have my cell phone service with teksavvy.com, and my email has changed from [redacted] to [redacted] I can make outgoing calls with MagicJack on my cell phone using the app, but when someone calls me, it only rings on my home phone if my desktop computer is on and MagicJack is connected to it. How can I make my cell phone ring instead?

Subject: MagicJack Service Issue Hello, I am experiencing issues with my MagicJack service once again. It is not receiving calls, and I am unable to make outgoing calls. Upon attempting a call, I am getting an error message stating "ERROR 2 3, CHECK YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION." I have tried troubleshooting by unplugging the device, resetting my router, and even relocating the device to my office where it functions correctly. My internet provider has confirmed that everything is working fine on their end, with consistent speed. I previously encountered a similar problem a few months ago, which leads me to believe the issue may lie within your system. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter. Kindly let me know if remote support via TeamViewer or a similar platform is an option. Thank you, R.B.

I am experiencing an urgent issue with my voicemail. When callers try to leave a message, they are prompted with a message stating, "if you are calling to retrieve your voicemail press 1, if you are calling to deposit a message press 2." Selecting 2 leads to an error message indicating that voicemail is not set up correctly or there are network problems. I have attempted calling the provided [redacted] number multiple times without success. This problem has persisted for a considerable amount of time, causing my friends to be unable to leave me voicemails. Kindly assist me in resolving this matter as soon as possible.

I am experiencing an unresolved issue with my MagicJack phone line and voice mail setup. For years, my external answering machine has worked correctly, picking up after 4 rings if I didn't answer. However, recently, around 10% of my calls are intercepted by MagicJack and go directly to its own voice mail without my phone ringing. I want all calls to ring first and then go to my answering machine after 4 rings. Even calls from the same number from my friend sometimes end up in MagicJack voice mail instead of my answering machine, showing it's not a number-specific problem. Despite a previous tech support chat claiming the issue was fixed, it persists.

I am experiencing an ongoing issue with my MagicJack phone line and voice mail. I have set up an external answering machine to pick up after 4 rings, which has been working fine for years. However, recently around 10% of the calls are being intercepted by MagicJack and going straight to their voice mail without my phone ringing. I want all calls to ring before going to my answering machine. Interestingly, calls from the same number sometimes go to my answering machine while others are directed to MagicJack's voice mail. This inconsistency is frustrating, and I need assistance to resolve this problem.

I purchased a MagicJack for my elderly parents, who I recently moved into a Board and Care home. To avoid any confusion, I had the MagicJack shipped to my home instead of the care facility. The purchase was made with my father's credit card as we plan to port their phone number, which is under my dad's name, Charles Garzoli. I assumed the MagicJack account would also be under his name, but it seems to be in my name, Vincent Garzoli, even though he is the one paying for it. I am worried that the port request might fail because the names won't match. Furthermore, I noticed that his old carrier, Xfinity, lists his name as Charlie Garzoli. I hope this can be corrected before the submission goes through to avoid any issues. The MagicJack account should be under Charles Garzoli (or Charlie Garzoli if necessary), not Vincent Garzoli. (Account email: [redacted]; Alternate email: [redacted])
