I have encountered an issue with Lyft. They owe me money from my driving work, but I cannot receive it as the application will not allow me to update my debit card. Even after updating my tax information as requested, I am still unable to access my earnings. Despite my attempts to contact them, I have not received any assistance. This situation is frustrating, and I urgently require help with processing my payment.

I need to address an issue with a Lyft ride I took yesterday. When I requested a Lyft at 6:35 from a park in Albany, NY, the driver who arrived 10 minutes later claimed the ride was canceled. Subsequently, I had to wait for the next driver who was 14 minutes away. Just before their arrival, that driver also canceled, followed by another driver 10 minutes out who also canceled. This cycle repeated for a total of 3 canceled rides, leaving me waiting for over 30 minutes without a Lyft. Eventually, I walked half a mile to get my ride and the driver, Sheba, was excellent. However, I faced challenges disputing the charge due to the multiple cancellations, which resulted in me being late for my appointment. I believe the entire ride cost should be reimbursed considering the time and frustration I endured.

I reserved a Lyft from Santa Ana airport in California for $25. Unfortunately, I had to cancel after waiting over 10 minutes and then had to re-request the ride for $36. Despite having Lyft Pink, I waited another 10+ minutes to connect with a driver, while my husband could confirm a driver faster on his account. Currently, we have paid $35 and waited a total of 25 minutes. The driver is still 12 minutes away. This experience has been disappointing.

To Whom It May Concern, While driving on I-90, I had a concerning encounter with a Lyft Driver whose license plate number is DH [redacted] from Illinois. This driver repeatedly brake checked me and slowed down to 35mph on a 65mph highway. In addition, they threw a Pepsi bottle out of their window towards my car, forcing me to swerve. This behavior created a very unsafe situation, and I am seeking some form of compensation or resolution to address this issue. Thank you.

I had a negative experience with a Lyft driver. The driver was impolite and had difficulty communicating in English. Despite my directions, he insisted on taking the freeway for a short journey that would have been quicker without it. I had to redirect him to my actual destination in OAKLAND City Hall, not San Francisco, and ultimately arrived at OAKLAND 14th and Broadway for my meeting. However, I suspect the driver may have made an unauthorized detour to San Francisco. The fare of $30 for a 2-mile trip is excessive; I believe it should have been around $8. During my last ride today, I accidentally left my Note 20 phone in my driver Ericka's car. She was driving a white Kia Soul. My phone was in a pink case containing my private belongings. The phone number linked to my account is [redacted]. Despite reporting my phone stolen on the app and sending messages to the driver, she has not contacted me using the follow-up number I provided. Retrieving my phone is crucial for me as a single mother since it is essential for my business. I kindly request assistance in recovering my personal property from Ericka.

After finishing work, I ordered a Lyft to pick up food for my son and then head home. At the drive-through, I had to pay on the driver's side as the lobby was closed. After getting my food, I put my card back in my phone case and set it down due to the large box. During the ride with Ericka in her white Kia Soul on September 8, [redacted], around 8:45-9 pm, I believe I left my phone in her car after making the payment. I realized my mistake about 5 minutes after she dropped me off. I have tried contacting Ericka through Lyft without any success. My phone number linked to the ride is [redacted]. Upon reaching my destination, where I planned to quickly step out and back in, I informed my driver. Unfortunately, he drove off without notifying me, and I inadvertently left my wallet in the car. My wallet contains critical items like my ID, money, credit cards, checks, and social security cards. I have been attempting to contact him to return it with no success. I am also considering requesting a refund due to the lack of communication and assistance. This incident has left me anxious, especially because it was my initial experience using this service.

I've had a frustrating experience with Lyft lately. On multiple occasions, drivers have canceled my pre-scheduled airport rides at the last minute, causing a lot of stress and chaos. What makes it worse is that there seem to be no consequences for the drivers when they cancel, but riders like me are charged for late cancellations and wait times. I experienced this most recently on September 11th in the morning, and it's just unacceptable. I believe that if a ride is pre-scheduled, drivers should not be allowed to cancel last minute. I was charged more than expected for my trip, which was supposed to be $12 but ended up being $[redacted]. The driver went off course and blamed the map and incorrect information entered for the extended 10-minute drive. Despite the driver being kind, I feel scammed by the situation. I had already added a tip and high rating points but am now unhappy with the service. I cannot justify paying $[redacted] for a ride that was initially priced at $12, plus a $20 tip. On September 14th, I had booked a round trip from [redacted] North Las Vegas Boulevard to my home at [redacted] Cartagena Way and back. After reaching my house, I changed my mind about returning to work at [redacted] North Las Vegas Boulevard, and the driver kindly agreed to cancel the trip. However, I noticed a charge of $27 on my Capital One card for the unused ride. I kindly request the removal of this charge promptly. Thank you.

I would like to speak with a representative. How is it possible that Lyft does not offer a phone number for customer service? Recently, I booked a ride, but the driver went to the wrong location, canceled the trip, and I was left to request another ride. I was still charged for a ride that never happened. I experienced a frustrating situation with a ride I booked. The driver claimed to have an emergency and couldn't come, but he didn't cancel the ride, so I couldn't request a new one. When I refused to cancel, he kept insisting until I threatened to report the issue. Eventually, he canceled the ride himself. The whole ordeal made me late for my daughter's school and work, despite booking the ride with enough time in advance. I'd also like to understand why a driver wouldn't cancel the ride if they had an emergency. It felt unfair that I was asked to cancel the ride when I was the one ready and waiting.

Dear Supervisor Team, I am submitting a complaint about a recent issue with a cleaning fee from a ride I provided. After discussing this with the Support Team, I was accused of making a false claim. This is a matter of great concern to me as I value honesty and integrity. I have been a dedicated Lyft driver for over a year, maintaining a perfect 5.0 rating. I am a father of two, a religious individual, and I take pride in being ethical in all my endeavors. I provided photos of the mess left in my car by a rider who used it to transport a stroller and juice bottles for their children. Despite their negligence, the rider did not acknowledge or rectify the situation. Being falsely accused is particularly upsetting to me as I uphold strong values. After my stolen phone was recovered, I discovered two unauthorized Lyft charges on my account. Despite never using Lyft due to financial reasons, I encountered difficulty resolving the issue. Initially, a representative mentioned removing the charges, but suddenly retracted the offer, citing that one was due to a driver cancellation. I recently applied to become a Lyft driver, and I received confirmation that everything was approved and that I was ready to start driving. However, upon downloading the app, I encountered an issue where my application is on hold. Despite having received an email from Lyft confirming that I was all set to drive, I am unable to log in to the app as it states my application is on hold. This issue may be due to a prior unsuccessful attempt to apply to drive with Lyft about a year ago, where I made a mistake with my documents, causing the app to not allow me to proceed further.

I have frequently used LYFT in Nashville and during my travels. Unfortunately, I encountered issues with a scheduled ride on 9/26/23 at 4:45pm. Despite receiving a confirmation text with an assigned driver, the app showed an arrival time of 1 minute for quite some time. I never received details about the driver or car, nor did I receive any communication from them. Feeling stranded, I had to resort to calling a taxi. This is the second time this has happened to me with LYFT, the last time requiring me to wait over an hour. I am hesitant to rely on LYFT in the future due to these recurring problems. While I cannot suggest how to resolve this, I believe LYFT should address these issues to ensure customer satisfaction, especially for older users who may be hesitant to utilize the service. perhaps considering an emergency contact backup.
