I am encountering an issue with the online tax preparation service. The list of forms indicates that the Schedule E Rental Worksheet is not available yet, preventing me from completing my return. The program requires an update to include this form, as it is still pending finalization by the IRS. H&R Block assures that all products are compliant with current tax laws and will update the program as soon as the necessary form is released. If the form was imported but is no longer needed, it can be deleted once it becomes available.

I was informed that I would be charged $[redacted].00 for not having health coverage. I was told that I couldn't file an exemption with my taxes and that I had to apply for it in advance. After researching online, I discovered that I can indeed file for an exemption with my taxes. As a stay-at-home mom, I was exempt from the fee last year with Jackson Hewitt. The representative at H&R Block made several mistakes during our tax filing process. Initially, she entered my social security number incorrectly, then said she needed to use my maiden name because I hadn't been married long enough for my last name to be recognized. Lastly, she informed me about the $[redacted].00 charge. I can't afford that and need this issue resolved without delaying my refund. Someone owes me $[redacted].00! What can I do to address this matter promptly?

We decided to have our taxes done this year at the H&R Block office in Saline, Michigan. Our initial visit was on 2/9/19. The tax preparer suggested we return on Sunday, the 10th due to the complexity of our taxes and her upcoming appointment. Despite not receiving a call by 2:00 on Sunday, we contacted the office since they closed at 3, only to be informed she was too busy and rescheduled us for Tuesday. On Tuesday, arriving for our 7:00 appointment, we received a call from H&R which we missed. The tax preparer then informed us not to come in. Feeling frustrated, it was our second unsuccessful visit with our five-month-old in tow. Up till now, I've never had issues with H&R representatives, but this experience with Angela at this location made me question her regard for our time and the service quality. Despite being a long-time H&R customer, I'm disappointed. We are now scheduled for 2/14/19 at 7:00 with a different tax preparer, hoping for better results. These delays and miscommunications have left us considering not returning to H&R for taxes next year.

The printer at the location has been out of service for several days, waiting for a replacement. As a result, customers are experiencing delays of 2-3 days to receive printed copies of their returns. This is during the busiest time of year, tax season, and it seems replacing a crucial piece of equipment like a printer should be a top priority. Customers, including myself, are now having to wait for their documents to be printed at another location and then brought back. The preparer was professional, but it was clear they were embarrassed by the situation. It's disappointing and unprofessional, especially considering the fees we pay for these services. We have been loyal customers of H & R Block for many years, so this experience is disheartening.

I have decided to discontinue using H&R Block's services due to recent issues with the Emerald Card. Despite being a loyal customer for over ten years, I have been disappointed by the current business practices. My husband and I opted to have our refund deposited to the Emerald Card for the first time, believing it would expedite the process. However, we discovered that the money was not available as expected. The IRS confirmed the deposit on 2/13/19, but the Emerald Card balance remains at $0. When we contacted the card's customer service, we were informed that the funds would not be available until 2/22/19. H&R Block directed us back to Emerald Card for assistance. I am sharing my experience on social media and complaint websites and plan to report this issue to the FTC. Sincerely, C&M Pethtel

Hi, My name is Ehsan Afshari, and I had an appointment on Thursday, Feb 14, [redacted], at H&R Block located at [redacted] Massachusetts Ave, Boston, MA [redacted]. I am dissatisfied with the service I received. During my visit, I was informed that my wife and I needed to file our tax returns separately due to our international student F1-F2 visas. The pricing provided to me was different from what I expected, with discrepancies in the final amount paid. Additionally, there was confusion and lack of assistance regarding my wife's return process, prompting unhelpful suggestions to search for information online. The overall experience was disappointing, and I am hesitant to return or recommend H&R Block to others.

To H&R Block, I have been a loyal customer at your Oak Creek WI Office for the past 10 years. However, my recent visit was a nightmare. The tax preparer seemed confused by the software and received conflicting advice from other staff members regarding declaring $40,[redacted] from a home sale. This discrepancy could cost me $9,[redacted] in capital gains tax. Furthermore, I was charged $[redacted] for a simple schedule C entry that took less than 10 seconds to fill out. My total bill came to $[redacted] for what felt like a grueling experience. I am extremely dissatisfied and question why I should return or recommend your services to others. I request a refund for the charges incurred during this visit. This entire ordeal has left me feeling frustrated and overcharged. Sincerely, Doug & Marcia Scherrer

I am experiencing an issue with Accuracy Review which displays an error message stating that some necessary forms for my tax return are still in draft mode, preventing me from transmitting it until finalized by the IRS. Despite regular software updates, the message persists as of Feb. 15th. I am eager for a resolution regarding the availability of these forms. Could you kindly update me on the situation and provide an estimate of when the forms will be accessible? Alternatively, is there a workaround I could use in the meantime? Furthermore, I was informed that I will be contacted via email by Block upon completion of my state form. I am curious about the typical timeframe for this process. Thank you for your support. P. S. The AI Assistant proved unhelpful. I suggest implementing a method to communicate with a live representative to avoid such frustrations.

I dropped off my taxes at the H&R Block location on [redacted] Des Moines Memorial Drive S. I had a frustrating experience with the receptionist. When I handed in the forms instructed by the Tax Preparer, Michael, she told me they were wrong. After some back and forth, she finally gave me the correct drop-off form. When I gave her my W2, she remarked that I should know what documents to provide. I asked to speak to Michael again, but she hesitated. Eventually, he clarified the forms I needed to submit. I expressed my concerns about the receptionist's lack of knowledge to Michael. Throughout the interaction, the receptionist was condescending and dismissive of my inquiries. This encounter left me feeling undervalued as a customer. I believe her behavior was unprofessional and not reflective of the service standards I expect from H&R Block.

I filed my taxes on 1/16/[redacted] and was told I'd receive my refund quickly without credit checks. However, to my disappointment, I found out it depended on my credit score when I was at the office. Spending nearly $[redacted] in fees and not getting the money as promised was frustrating. I've been filing my taxes independently and now regret not doing the same. The delay in receiving my refund compounds this issue immensely. Despite the tax preparer's kindness, there were some technical hitches during the process. I feel deceived and disheartened by the misinformation and extra costs incurred. I have expressed my dissatisfaction to others and will not be returning to H&R Block in the future. The situation has caused financial strain and inconvenience I wish I could have avoided.

Hello, I am Michael Silva. I am feeling confused about my return. At the store in Franklin Square, New York, [redacted], an agent named Habiba processed my return and assured me I would receive the money on the same day if I chose to put it on the emerald card. It has been a week, and I urgently needed the funds for bills. I have not received the refund and am now behind on my payments. I wish I had opted to have the money sent to my debit card directly to avoid additional fees. If I had known it would take this long, I would have chosen differently. I would like to find out if the money was loaded onto the card or what the status of my return is.

Good afternoon, I attempted to file my return through the United Way and H&R Block MyFreeTaxes website several times. However, despite my efforts to start over, I was unexpectedly charged a premium fee of $49.99 and a state filing fee of $36.99. This was confusing as my income is lower this year, and I have used the service in the past. The direct link from MyFreeTaxes automatically included these charges, and I am unsure how to rectify this issue. I have been a loyal H&R Block user but am frustrated by the lack of clarity in integrating this service. If there is a way to refile without these added fees, I would greatly appreciate the assistance. I encountered a similar problem last year and am puzzled why the direct link did not recognize my eligibility for free filing. Any help on this matter would be highly valued. Kind regards, T.

I work as a tax associate at Block, California Central Division, Fillmore. I want the management at Block to understand that in my experience, the company has not adequately prepared its employees. Since I was hired on 12-7-18, I faced numerous challenges in the hiring, training, certification, and PTIN assimilation processes due to internal issues at your end. I had to consistently follow up on each problem to get it resolved, rather than the managers taking proactive steps. These issues remained unresolved until 2/2/19. Upon working in the office, I had to navigate internal processes on my own and reached out for guidance several times during client sessions. There was a lack of hands-on training, and the online training provided was insufficient for dealing with unique situations. It is concerning to have first-year preparers handling client appointments without proper in-office training. This lack of preparation reflects poorly on the company when clients leave feeling unsure about the preparer's abilities. Errors in the classroom ebook materials further added to the challenges, requiring me to point them out to my instructor for correction.

On January 29, [redacted], I visited H&R Block in Mentor on the Lake, Ohio. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't good. The tax preparer seemed inexperienced, needed help from others, and made mistakes. I left without the advance I needed, as my taxes were done incorrectly. H&R Block intended to charge me $[redacted] for the service. After checking online, I saw they hadn't even filed my return. Upset, I filed independently and for free using a different service, and it was accepted right away. I left a negative review and then received an email from H&R Block the next day saying my return was accepted, which worries me. I made it clear I had already filed. If this causes any issues with my refund, I expect them to rectify it promptly. Double filing could lead to complications, and I hope this is sorted out without delay.

I am dissatisfied with this company. I attempted to file my taxes online but got stuck when asked for my AGI. I purchased it on your site, entered the information from last year's return, and it was rejected twice. I also tried using the PIN from last year, which was rejected as well. After struggling, I had to visit a store and pay $[redacted] to file in person. I tried reaching out for support but was left on hold for 45 minutes. The in-store filing went smoothly, but this whole ordeal was inconvenient. I will not be using H&R Block next year and will not recommend it to others.

I've had a troubling experience with H&R Block regarding my taxes. It all started when I questioned the accuracy of my tax filing. Despite numerous unreturned calls, I persisted in contacting the manager, Arella. After being left waiting for a week, I was informed of a mistake that required me to revisit the office. I made the effort to leave work early and drive an hour each way only to be met with a nonchalant apology and a copy of tax regulations. This unprofessional behavior has left me deeply dissatisfied. Having been a loyal H&R Block customer for nearly two decades, I am appalled by this treatment. I will not be using their services again and plan to share this negative experience with everyone I know. Juggling two jobs and raising three kids, wasting both my time and money in this manner is unacceptable, especially considering the significant fee of $[redacted] paid for such poor service.

Hello, I used the free edition of H&R Block online through the website. Overall, it worked well, but I faced issues with my W2s and [redacted] inputting automatically. After completing my tax information, I opted for the Tax Pro Review service. However, I prefer to file on my own, but I discovered I couldn't do so without deleting all my entered data to start over. I find it frustrating that I have to delete all my stored information even though I entered it myself. When I contacted customer service, they mentioned ongoing service problems and couldn't provide a timeline for resolving the deletion issue. I'm dissatisfied with the Tax Pro Review service and would like to request a refund due to the inconvenience it has caused me during the filing process. Thank you, Eric G.

I visited H&R Block to inquire about an advance from my tax return. I was surprised to find out that eligibility is based on credit, which was not communicated clearly initially. Despite preparing my taxes on my own, I was charged $[redacted] for tax preparation services, which I only agreed to because I needed the advance. I would have reconsidered had I known all the terms beforehand. I tried to cancel with the representative in-store, but have not received a response to my follow-up emails. My husband has already received his return, but mine is still pending. This has been a disappointing first experience with H&R Block.

I tried to access my [redacted] tax return on TurboTax without luck, encountering issues both on my computer and on multiple machines my son brought over. I then started on my [redacted] return, but faced ongoing problems like the return spinning endlessly without progress. When I turned to H&R Block Premium and Business for help, I initially managed to open a [redacted] fictional return created with TurboTax but got confused by the two separate icons created by the H&R Block software. My tax situation involves selling a mobile home park in Louisiana in [redacted], presenting challenges with how to allocate the sale proceeds as advised by the TurboTax software. Now, I find myself with a [redacted] tax return on TurboTax that has only half of the sales spaces calculated due to these complications. While I have started a [redacted] return on H&R Block Premium, I realized it may not fully support the necessary depreciation schedules, prompting me to consider transitioning to the Business disc as recommended.

During our second year filing taxes with H&R Block, my husband and I encountered an issue concerning our son's custody situation. We had sought help from Ms. Hastings based in Chattahoochee, FL. Despite explaining that I shouldn't claim my son according to the custody rotation with his father, Ms. Hastings advised me that due to the time and money spent on my son, I could claim him legally. I was initially confused but trusted her expertise. I even bought insurance from H&R Block for such situations. However, I now find myself in a dilemma as I discover this advice might have been incorrect. I'm involved in a sensitive family court matter with my son's father. I seek clarification on whether the insurance covers misinformation from professionals. I trusted Ms. Hastings but now question why she might have misled me. I'm eager to address this issue before we receive our return and ensure the appropriate steps are taken regarding the child tax credit. Any assistance on correcting this mistake would be greatly appreciated.
