I am locked out of my account (Micheled715) and struggling to answer my security question to access it. Unfortunately, my attempts have been unsuccessful, adding to my frustration. Upon contacting HR Block for assistance, my experience was disheartening as I was met with unprofessional behavior on the call. I urgently need to file my [redacted] State taxes following a notification from Arkansas state revealing the omission of our state filing that year, leading to a substantial penalty. To rectify this, I purchased the [redacted] tax software from HR Block, but I am unable to proceed as the Federal software needed to transfer data is missing on my computer. I am requesting a full refund for the State software purchased, resolution of the [redacted] State tax filing issue as per your Guarantee, and immediate unlocking of my account (Micheled715).

Hello, I recently had to amend my New York state taxes due to missing information on form IT-[redacted]. After receiving a letter from the state, I chose to e-file through your platform. However, the site required me to resubmit my federal taxes first before processing my state taxes, which led to an issue because my federal taxes had already been filed and accepted. I specifically needed to refile my New York state taxes, but the site did not provide me with that option. I would appreciate it if you could assist me in sending only my New York state information for re-filing. Thank you for your help. - AMC

Hello,
I recently filed my taxes with H&R Block and received a lower refund than expected due to an IRS rejection. Despite trying to reach out for assistance through their chat feature, I encountered difficulties with the service. Each time I attempted to chat with a representative, I faced disconnections and unhelpful answers. The customer service representative directed me to visit a physical H&R Block location if I wanted further assistance, as they claimed I couldn't consult with a professional online after submitting my taxes. When I tried to resubmit without any changes, a prompt asked for payment to speak with a professional. I am confused by these inconsistencies and would appreciate clarity on why my refund changed and how to resolve the issue without additional charges.

Good afternoon:. I need to ask you a question and would appreciate your support. Last August, I registered two companies with the intention of starting a business. I am currently outside the USA and am a foreigner. I live in Venezuela. For various reasons, I have not yet operated these companies, so there have been no transactions in the accounts. Therefore, I have no taxes to pay, but I believe I am obligated to declare. One of the companies is a Corp and owns the other, which is an LLC. I am the sole shareholder of the Corp. I would like to know how you can assist me with this and what the cost would be to prepare zero tax returns for both companies. I would also appreciate information on the possible penalty for not doing so.

I recently visited an H&R Block branch for tax services. I arrived a day early and they accommodated me as a walk-in. Unfortunately, I didn't inquire about the cost beforehand and was surprised by a $[redacted] bill at the end. I expressed my inability to pay this amount, especially because I only had two W-2 forms worth $60 each last year. I decided to cancel, which resulted in the associate, Alberto Gutierrez, becoming unfriendly and uncooperative. When I asked for a receipt stating that I wouldn't be charged, he refused to provide one. I obtained copies of my other documents and left, concerned about the security of my information given the unpleasant interaction. Any assistance on how to address this situation would be greatly appreciated.

As a long-time user of H&R Block Business, I have typically had positive experiences. However, I encountered some difficulties with the [redacted] version. I was unable to locate a list of my preliminary trials, which I usually found in the documents folder on Windows 10. Despite numerous attempts, these files were nowhere to be found. After reaching out to support via phone, the agents were helpful and tried their best to assist me. The suggested solution was to utilize the backup feature within the program, allowing me to save files to a designated folder. While this resolved the issue, it added complexity and frustration to using the program compared to the older, more user-friendly system. Thank you for providing the opportunity to share my feedback. - Gordon G.

Hello, I am Brittney. I have been using H&R Block for the past four years to file my taxes in New York. Last year, my accountant Tiffany made an error in my taxes, resulting in an unexpected $[redacted] bill due to a residency issue. This year, my fee increased by almost $70 without prior notice due to a "complex" form. The lack of communication regarding the fee increase was frustrating. When I mentioned needing to pay next month, the receptionist reacted rudely, taking my tax packet and insisting I pay before returning it. The customer service I received was unacceptable, considering the previous mistake and lack of transparency. I am disappointed in the service I have received for two consecutive years and hope for a resolution with the fee this year.

I am Perry Bloomer residing at 43 Narrows Road in Bristol, RI. I paid for the H&R Deluxe tax return processing on February 12, [redacted], costing $71.67 with a [redacted]% accuracy guarantee. When checking my RI State Tax Refund status, it indicated a filing problem, mentioning a missing form. As H&R Block filed my return, I am baffled by this issue. My payment order number is 5BCA22F2GE354922. I am unable to find a way to contact H&R Block via my account and am quite worried. I am unsure if I should involve my attorney at this stage, hence trying to seek assistance here first. I am eager to learn how this issue will be resolved. Thank you.

My name is Brittney, and I have been using H&R Block for the last four years to file my taxes in New York. Last year, my previous accountant Tiffany made a mistake, causing me to owe an extra $[redacted] due to not being marked as a resident. This year, I used a new accountant, only to find out after completion that my fee was increased by about $70 because one of my tax forms was considered "complex." This information should have been communicated to me beforehand. When I couldn't pay the increased fee immediately, the receptionist took my tax documents and requested payment before returning them, which I found disrespectful and unprofessional. Given the errors made in the past two years, I am dissatisfied with the service and request a waiver of the additional fee this year.

I have a question about our tax preparation costs. We usually use H&R Block for our taxes. Last year, we paid around $[redacted], but this year it was about $[redacted]. I was informed that the increase was due to the preparation for stock sales. I was told that H&R charges per transaction because they need to fill out documentation for each one. This is the first time we've sold stocks, and I'm satisfied with the results, but I just want to confirm if this is a standard company policy. We had almost three pages of transactions, so I'm wondering if this fee structure is reasonable. I'm not upset, just seeking clarification on whether this is a common practice. Thank you for your help.

Living in Saginaw, Michigan, with my 89-year-old mother, I recently had my taxes done by H&R Block. While my mother had a great experience with them, mine was less than satisfactory. Having moved back from Florida due to health issues and retirement, I found myself unexpectedly owing a significant amount for the tax preparation service. The price discussed after completing the taxes was over $[redacted], a cost I was unaware of beforehand. Being on a fixed income at 65, I was taken aback by the high fee, especially considering other affordable options available in the area. I had previously used H&R Block online through my daughter, and the difference in cost was shocking. I believe I should have been informed about the fee upfront, and I am hoping for a partial refund. I am attempting to file our taxes on H&RBlock.com, our go-to platform for years. When my husband cashed out his life insurance policy in [redacted], we received a [redacted]-R. Unfortunately, there is no suitable category to report this income. The options provided under "source of distribution or rollover" do not address our situation. While considering switching to TurboTax, I am puzzled why there isn't an "other" category available. It seems many might face a similar issue. It's frustrating that to seek help, we have to pay an additional $39.99. We are contemplating going to a tax professional as it might end up being more cost-effective than continuing with the online platform. Thank you!

My spouse and I visited H&R Block for our [redacted] taxes. We met with a tax professional and completed our taxes. Upon reviewing our [redacted] tax return at home, I discovered an undisclosed $6,[redacted] IRA contribution directly deposited with TD Ameritrade. Despite emailing the tax professional, I received no prompt response. After following up with another email and a call to the office which went unanswered, I was eventually informed through email that I needed to file an amended return costing at least $[redacted] due to the oversight. Having already paid nearly $[redacted] for an incorrect tax return caused by the professional not inquiring about the IRA contribution, we are hesitant to pay an additional $[redacted] for their error.

I've been using H&R Block for over 5 years to file my taxes. This year, I had my return reviewed by a tax professional. Initially, everything was going well as the tax pro requested my tax documents for verification. However, upon reviewing the return before submission, I noticed my federal refund had decreased by about $[redacted], and my state return showed I owed roughly $[redacted]. When I inquired about the change, the tax pro mentioned reducing the business income by $[redacted], which seemed illogical as it should have increased my federal refund. When I requested a comparison of the revised return with my original one, she couldn't access it and seemed unhelpful in her responses. I find it unacceptable that she couldn't explain the refund difference, therefore, I'm seeking a refund and plan to switch to another tax software for next year.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided by the front desk staff at H&R Block ([redacted] Huron Church Rd, Windsor, ON, Canada), specifically ANN MACPERSON. Upon arriving at 12:40 pm on March 7th for our tax return appointment without prior booking, we observed several customers without appointments being accommodated before us. Despite being the first in line, we were made to wait nearly two hours as others with no appointments were prioritized.
Throughout our wait, we noticed inconsistencies in how appointments were being managed, leading to frustration. Despite inquiring multiple times about our turn and facing dismissive attitudes from the front desk, we eventually left without receiving service even though later arrivals were attended to.
As new clients, we hoped for a positive experience at H&R Block, emphasizing the importance of fair and professional scheduling by the front desk to ensure customer satisfaction. I seek resolution for this issue, as I would not want others to face similar challenges during tax season.
Thank you for your attention.

I am in need of assistance and understanding regarding my recent experience with having my taxes filed at your office. Over a month ago, I visited and had my taxes prepared there. Unfortunately, there were several issues that arose. Despite multiple calls requesting additional information that should have been provided initially, my return was not filed promptly. Even after complaints, my taxes remained on hold due to missing details. It was explained that a new employee had worked on my return, causing delays. Eventually, I received confirmation from the IRS that my taxes were processed. However, a subsequent email informed me that my direct deposit failed, resulting in a delayed refund by check. The inconsistencies, lack of thoroughness, and miscommunication have caused significant inconvenience and frustration. I am requesting a refund for the time and stress this entire process has caused me.

I visited the branch in the Mission Trace Center in Thornton, CO today for assistance with my refund status. I want to report one particular associate who was very rude and assumptive. She was a redhead and kept interrupting me as if she knew what I was going to say. Despite my explanation that I knew HR Block does not issue refunds, she continued to talk about it. Another older woman overheard my issue and was very nice and helpful, trying to assist me. However, the redhead associate insisted on taking over and was not addressing my concerns. She also dismissed the $20 gift card promised to me. This behavior was embarrassing as it occurred in front of other customers. I hope something can be done about this unpleasant experience with the redhead associate.

I reached out to the IRS, and they verified that they sent my full refund to the HR Block Emerald card. However, HR Block has underpaid me by $[redacted]. I've been advised that I may need to take legal action to recover the funds I feel were unfairly taken from me. Can someone please provide me with details for my attorney to contact HR Block regarding this issue of missing refund money? A representative from HR Block claims they didn't receive the full refund amount from the IRS but still loaded a lesser amount onto the card. I appreciate your help as a single parent who was counting on this refund.

I believe I have been a victim of malpractice by HR Block Emerald Card as I am missing $[redacted] from my IRS refund. The IRS has confirmed that they sent the full amount, but only a portion was credited to my account. Despite being assured by a representative that the full refund was given, I have been shorted $[redacted]. I have been advised to seek legal assistance to recover the funds owed to me. As a single parent who heavily relies on this refund to navigate through challenging times, I am in urgent need of guidance on how to proceed with small claims court and which legal representative to contact for assistance in resolving this matter.

I have been a loyal customer of H&R Block for five years now. As I am currently preparing my tax return using their service, I have noticed that the tax preparation fees have significantly increased this year. I was surprised by the high price, especially considering my tax situation includes a W2, self-employment income totaling $[redacted], and some [redacted]-INT forms. The breakdown of the charges is as follows:
Order Details:
H&R Block Self-Employed:
- Self-Employed federal return: $79.99
- Self-Employed federal e-file: Included
- Self-Employed state return (CA): $36.99
- Importing last year’s return: Included
- [redacted]% Accuracy Guarantee: Included
- Online access to your return for up to six years: Included
Total: $[redacted].98
Considering the total cost, I find it too steep. I am wondering if there are any discounts available to reduce the price.
