Following instructions from a representative, I submitted verification, including IDs and proof of deposit, on March 8, [redacted]. I was assured access to my funds within five business days. However, on the fifth day, I discovered my account was closed without my permission. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the situation, I was informed that my investigation was closed and that I needed to resend all documents. After resubmitting and experiencing challenges due to the account closure, I was told to wait another five business days to access my money. Numerous emails and promises of callbacks from the corporate office have yielded no results. As my refund has been withheld for two weeks, my financial situation has become dire. Frustrated by the lack of progress, I am left with no recourse but to consider legal action against Green Dot. I'm having trouble reaching Green Dot bank regarding a deposit the IRS said was made into their account for me. I've called multiple times providing my information and social security number, but every time I'm asked for a card number which I don't have as I never received a card. I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service provided by the Green Dot card services. I tried to transfer $60 to my son's email last night, following the instructions provided, but ran into multiple issues. Despite having several Green Dot cards, none of the suggested methods for accessing the money worked as advertised. When attempting to transfer the funds to a card, the website simply refreshed without any explanation for the error. The alternative option of "getting a card now" also failed to provide the necessary information to proceed. This situation has left my son without the necessary funds to renew his phone plan, causing considerable inconvenience. Additionally, the supposed option to speak with a representative by pressing "5" proved to be unsuccessful after numerous attempts. The lack of support and communication is both frustrating and unacceptable.

The automated system had trouble understanding my name, DEVI, so it transferred me to a person named ABBY. Despite multiple attempts, she also struggled to accurately grasp my name phonetically. When I clarified using "V as in Victory," she continued to have difficulty. After I provided my social security number, she repeated it back inaccurately. Even when I tried to confirm, she abruptly mentioned canceling my card. Now, after this frustrating interaction, I cannot reach anyone for assistance, and the registration line indicates my card is not registered, hindering my ability to make online purchases. This was the main reason I acquired the card. I have been a loyal Green Dot customer for six years and have never encountered such poor customer service. There is a definite need for improvement in their service.

I have a Walmart prepaid GreenDot card and per their website, I should not be charged a monthly fee due to having federal benefits deposited into two accounts. However, I've been charged $3 monthly for the past three years despite having an account with them for eight years. I am requesting a refund. My contact number is [redacted]. Hello, I've been using Greendot for about 2 years now, and I relied on it to pay my bills and rent and use it like a credit card. Recently, my card stopped working, and when I contacted customer service, they mentioned that it was under investigation but didn't provide any details. I had to settle a state toll violation and the only payment method available was online with a credit card or prepaid debit card. Unfortunately, my partner mistakenly purchased a Green Dot Cash Back direct deposit card instead. After going through the process of opening an account, downloading an app, and waiting for a personalized card, I realized I couldn't easily cancel the account. Now, due to inactivity and a zero balance, they have charged me a monthly fee, which I find unfair. I used TurboTax this year to file my taxes. I was informed that my refund would be sent to me on a Green Dot prepaid Visa card and should arrive in 5 to 10 business days. I bought a card at Walmart as I have in the past. When I tried to register it online, I followed all the steps, but when it came to verifying that I am not a robot, it failed to verify my identity. I contacted both Walmart MoneyCard and Green Dot, but received the same response that I can only use the card for cash purchases due to the verification issue. Despite never facing this problem before, I was unable to resolve it. Eventually, with the help of the Walmart Money Center, I managed to get my money back by buying a gift card and cashing it out. It's frustrating to encounter such difficulties without proper customer support despite the ease of loading money onto the card. My Walmart Money Card has had a block on it for over three months because of a MoneyPak issue. I have tried multiple solutions provided by Walmart and Green Dot, but nothing has resolved the problem. I loaded a Green Dot MoneyPak to my Walmart card, and there was confusion with Mrs. Cervantes, but despite clarifications, the matter remains unresolved. Despite sending my driver's license several times as requested, the issue persists. After months, I finally received a callback from Green Dot instructing me to send a copy of my driver's license again, but the problem remains unsolved.
