Hello, my name is Peter Vitale. I have three different Green Dot accounts. One of my accounts has $[redacted] that the IRS gave to me. My card ending in [redacted] was blocked due to fraudulent activity. There was an investigation that concluded over 2 months ago on March 12th when the IRS loaded money onto my account. Green Dot has been giving me the runaround all this time. I want my money. The investigation is over, they said I would receive a letter, but I haven't. I don't want a check; I just want my card unblocked or the money transferred to my other Green Dot account. I've been a long-time customer with thousands of dollars loaded onto my card, never causing any issues with Green Dot. I want my card unblocked or the money moved to my other account today. If I don't get a resolution, I will involve the IRS and the Tax Commission.

I have been facing challenges with Green Dot's customer service, and I am feeling frustrated. I submitted my state ID multiple times as requested to [redacted] following a direct deposit into my account. Despite being informed that my ID was received, my account was closed, and I cannot access my $[redacted].05 remaining balance as my card is still locked. When I tried to check my balance, the message indicated my card was locked and I needed to unlock it via the mobile app, which I can no longer access due to my account closure. This has caused significant hardships, like being evicted because I couldn't access my funds for rent. I implored Green Dot for help, but no resolution was provided. I have reached out to the IRS regarding our first Economic Income Stimulus check which we have not received yet. The trace number is [redacted]7-[redacted]. I received a letter from the Direct Deposit Coordinator for Green Dot Bank addressed to the Department of the Treasury stating that our check was deposited into an account ending in [redacted] (account type: C) under the names Bret M Palmisano and Nancy B Palmisano on May 6, [redacted]. The Individual ID Prefix is Bret's social security number. Additional details on the paper include Type of Payment: IRS, Amount: $[redacted].00, and Discretionary Code E. I have been attempting to contact Green Dot Bank for a week. I received a notice from the IRS stating that my tax refund was deposited onto my Green Dot card on 05/04/[redacted]. When I checked the app, it confirmed my refund was there. Upon trying to withdraw money from an ATM, I encountered an issue where the machine did not dispense the $[redacted] I requested in three attempts. I later discovered the ATM was malfunctioning, causing several people to lose money that day. The IRS advised me to file a dispute to recover my funds promptly. I urgently need this money as my infant recently passed away, and I require it for cremation services. Regrettably, my attempts to reach Green Dot's customer service were met with hostility, including being hung up on.

I have been trying to log into my account unsuccessfully. I lost my card in October or November of [redacted] while visiting a friend in Temecula, CA. Despite requesting a new card, it never arrived. The IRS informed me that my second and third stimulus payments were deposited into the account I used for the first one, with the account number [redacted]20/[redacted]82. There is $1,[redacted] in this account that belongs to me, but I cannot access it. I no longer have the phone linked to the account and although a representative updated my email and phone number, I still cannot log in. Due to past card theft, I have a new Green Dot Walmart Money Card and I would like the funds transferred to this new card so I can close the existing account. My husband's poor health makes it hard for me to handle these issues alone, and I urgently need the funds. I have been trying to resolve this for three days and need assistance to access my money at Walmart.

On May 11th, I received my $[redacted] cashback rewards from Green Dot. After logging in about 30 minutes later, I had trouble accessing my account and had to reset my password. The recovery email was unfamiliar for security, and upon logging in, I discovered a $[redacted] transaction to "HoldenJ," which I did not authorize. When attempting to log in again later, I couldn't access my account as the recovery email and phone number were not mine. My card and account have been locked for nearly three weeks. I am frustrated with the recent experience I had with Greendot. I was asked to verify my documents, but after attempting to submit my driver's license for verification, they closed my card without providing any alternative solutions. This has resulted in me not having access to my tax refund that was directly deposited. Despite following their instructions to email the documents three times from different email addresses, Greendot claims they never received any of my emails. I am in urgent need of these funds to support my children, and Greendot has been unhelpful and uncommunicative. I urge them to reconsider and provide me with access to my money. I recently started working at -ELITE STAFFING- and needed a Pay toll-free advance due to my wife's hospitalization. I received $[redacted].00. I always try to keep all my phones handy to check my balance easily. However, when I logged in from one of my phones, a day passed before I used my other phone which has the email: [redacted] I also own [redacted], but due to a previous hacking incident on my Facebook, I hesitated to use it. I am experiencing difficulties retrieving funds I loaded onto a Greendot PPD Card after purchasing a card code at DollarTree Discount Store #[redacted] in Hesperia, CA on 05/22/[redacted]. I loaded $[redacted] plus a $1 card fee around 19:06. I registered the card a few hours later between 9:20 and 10:30 and it was accepted. I am frustrated with the experience I've had with this card. It took four weeks to arrive, and I had to pay an extra $15 for FedEx delivery. Now, after only a week of having it, I can't make a simple $5 purchase. The bank keeps denying my transactions as unknown. I've called customer service multiple times, each time being promised a fix within an hour. Tonight, I was hung up on five times and couldn't reach a manager. The phone system is unreliable, and my card is still not working after 5 weeks and additional fees for a replacement. I demand a resolution and plan to report this to the Better Business Bureau. Since March, I have been dealing with issues regarding Green Dot. Despite requesting to be removed from their account two years ago, before this recent problem arose, they failed to do so. I have proof of this request and even received a confirmation email. Unfortunately, my stimulus payment was sent to the wrong card, which was then stolen or hacked. While Green Dot promised to refund the money, they closed my account due to the theft. It has been over 14 business days since they notified me of the refund timeline. I relied on their word and made financial plans based on it. Now, I am facing difficulties as my vehicle is not working, preventing me from working and providing for my children. I have tried to reach out through messages and calls to no avail. The lack of a tracking number for the considerable sum of money is concerning. Conversations with supervisors have been unproductive and I am frustrated with the lengthy process. I am from California, and the delay in receiving my funds is unacceptable. Quickly realizing my mistake, I requested to cancel my order by emailing them, even though I only received an order number on their website. However, after learning otherwise, I am worried that someone might be trying to obtain an SBA loan in my name. I recently discovered that my Green Dot card was stolen. I have been trying to cancel it and get a new one sent to me. My Green Dot account has been closed, and my Social Security disability direct deposit is in that account. Despite having another account with your bank that successfully received my direct deposit in June, I am unable to transfer the funds to the active account. I was advised to contact the Social Security Administration to arrange for the refund and transfer to my new account, but they stated they do not handle that process. I am reaching out to Green Dot repeatedly to assist in transferring my money to the active account. Social Security also recommended changing to Direct Express after the next deposit.
