Last week, I called about our AC issue where it lost connection to the C wire. A technician was scheduled to come Monday but didn't show up. After contacting Nest, TK Mechanical Services rescheduled for today, a week later. The technician fixed the problem temporarily, but it stopped working again and shows the R wire has lost power. I want this fixed promptly to avoid another hot weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina. I've already missed work hours due to this and am disappointed with the care and timing from both Nest and TK Mechanical Services. I need a resolution soon so I can move forward positively. Looking forward to your prompt assistance. Thank you.

I have a Nest outdoor camera mounted outside my house, connected indoors. I've noticed a decline in picture quality and found water inside the lens. This is the second issue I've had with Nest products. I need a replacement camera as it shouldn't have water inside. I rely on this camera, and I'm going out of town soon. I tried calling customer service but was on hold for 2.5 hours without speaking to anyone.

I have a Nest outdoor camera mounted outside my house but noticed a drop in picture quality. Upon inspection, I found the lens full of water. This is the second issue I've encountered with Nest equipment. I would like a replacement outdoor camera as having water in the lens is unacceptable. I'm traveling soon and rely on this camera for security. I tried calling customer service but was on hold for over two hours without reaching anyone. Please assist. Thank you.

I am a disabled senior citizen, and my Dropcam videos are not working. I spent nearly two hours on the phone yesterday, but the issue remains unresolved. I was promised a call back within 24 hours to resolve the matter. I am concerned about the potential liability Nest would face if incidents occur while the cameras are not working. I appreciate your time and kindness in addressing this matter. Thank you.

We have been using three Nest Smoke Detectors and two Nest Thermostats for over four years now. We have been quite satisfied with their performance. However, last night, one of the smoke detectors went off twice in the middle of the night due to a false alarm. We checked thoroughly both times and found no smoke in the house. This has raised concerns about the reliability of this particular Nest Protect device. Although we recently replaced the batteries in all devices, this one continues to give false alarms. I have temporarily removed the batteries and relocated another Nest Protect in its place, which did not trigger any alarms. Safety is a top priority, so I am seeking guidance on preventing such incidents in the future.

This morning, my thermostat displayed an error stating it couldn't detect power from the Rh wire. I tried flipping the breakers and resetting the modem, but the issue persisted. After contacting Vivint support, they instructed me to reset the thermostat face by pressing and holding it for about 10 seconds. Following the reset, the thermostat indicated it needed to shut down to recharge the battery. It has now been approximately 2 hours, but the thermostat remains off, and the house temperature is at a stressful one hundred degrees.

I am having issues with my 3rd generation Nest Thermostat connecting to my WiFi. I have tried everything from resetting the network and the Nest to cleaning and testing the wiring connection to the HVAC system. Despite entering all my networks and trying different frequencies, turning off firewalls, and even switching off other networks for interference testing, I continue to receive a "no network found" message. My WiFi is provided by Verizon Fios with the G1100 Cisco modem. I am running out of troubleshooting ideas.

Hello, I purchased The Nest smoke alarm several years ago. It has been stored in its box until now as I'm preparing to leave for the winter and wanted to monitor my house. When I removed the battery tab, it unexpectedly switched to Spanish mode and I'm unable to connect it to change the language back to English. Despite several attempts, I've been unsuccessful in connecting the alarm to my Wi-Fi network after resetting my router and phone. The numbers on the back of the device are: Nest - 3 c d e, Network name: kkf 0yy, 06aa01ac511501py, Serial number: [redacted] Dec 23 - [redacted] Dec 23. I have recommended Nest products to friends who also own them, and I usually find your products easy to set up. Any assistance with resolving this issue or replacing the smoke alarm would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I haven't used my Nest Cam (indoor) in a while since moving to a new home in [redacted]. I had the Nest app on my old phone, but it's lost now. I managed to download the Nest app on my new phone, but I can't log in because it's asking for my email, which it's not recognizing. When I first signed up, it said my login name was "ParadiseFijijHome," but now it's asking for an email. I need help to reset it, especially since my camera is working but inaccessible without the old phone. Feel free to contact me at [redacted] or 1-[redacted], Ronita Lal. I can provide any necessary details for security. Thank you! 😊

I recently installed a camera that was working fine until someone, potentially the provider, flipped the camera upside down through WiFi without my manual intervention. When I try to turn on the camera, the page spins and says "downloading," leaving me unable to activate it. I suspect it is related to my provider's actions and have contacted the state police for assistance. I am frustrated and feel violated by these hacks. The provider might be tampering with the camera using the antenna on the top of my house that connects to the nearest tower. The provider in question is Delmarva WiFi, and I am disappointed that they are not BBB accredited.

I own a Nest Gen 3 thermostat with battery 3.[redacted] and software 6.0-6 that is currently unable to reconnect to the internet. Despite previous successful use, it is now failing to find networks, connect manually to my home network, or be recognized by the app post-reset. I have attempted various troubleshooting steps like resetting routers, modems, the thermostat, and the app, with no success. Any advice on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated as I'm at a loss and feeling very frustrated. Thank you.

My Nest Thermostat was functioning perfectly until around 3 days ago when it suddenly stopped connecting to my Wi-Fi router. We have two Nest Thermostats and a DropCam Pro in our house, and none of the other devices are experiencing any problems. I attempted to restart, reset the network, and reset the device completely. An important observation is that it is not detecting any Wi-Fi networks in the vicinity. I have manually reset the device and attempted to set it up again by scanning the QR code, but I am unable to proceed with the network setup process.

After following instructions from tech support to troubleshoot my Google Nest, I was directed to adjust the wiring, but unfortunately, it did not resolve the power issue with the unit. A new Nest was to be sent as a replacement. In the meantime, my HVAC professional discovered that the aqua stat in my boiler had been damaged. I learned that providing false voltage to the aqua stat could have caused the damage, impacting my heating system significantly. The technician was able to temporarily install a thermostat from his truck to restore my AC functionality after repairing the aqua stat. I am seeking reimbursement for the labor and materials used to fix the aqua stat. Despite reaching out to various parties including Google Nest, I have struggled to receive a resolution. The lack of response and support has been frustrating, even leading to a lengthy hold time where I was ultimately asked to provide feedback on the call experience via a survey. I am exploring further steps to address this issue.

Reference start of chat #[redacted]1 (English chat) on November 9th, [redacted].
I purchased and installed Nest Hello (wired video doorbell) in November [redacted]. I have installed the NEST app on my iPhone 6S and my iPad.
The app works correctly on my iPad. However, it quickly drains the battery of my iPhone (7% consumption of my battery's energy in 45 seconds of video viewing).
IOS version on my iPhone is 13.2.2 and Nest application version is 5.41.0.
Is it possible to resolve this issue and how?
Thank you for your support.

My Nest thermostat hasn't been able to connect to my Wi-Fi for about a week now. I finally had some time this morning to troubleshoot the issue. I went through all the steps recommended, including resetting the network, resetting the thermostat without losing any data, resetting all settings, and even unplugging it for an hour to try a factory reset. Unfortunately, none of these actions resolved the problem. It's been frustrating to not get through to the company for support. I contemplated returning it to Costco until I stumbled upon this website. However, I couldn't find the necessary information on your support page, or it was challenging to locate. If you're unable to assist me, I may have to reluctantly purchase an ecobee3 Smarter Wi-Fi Thermostat, as Amazon's support seems more accessible.

The Nest Hello Doorbell microphone volume is very low despite attempting reboots and verifying all settings. According to online research, this issue could be related to low battery power or a faulty doorbell transformer. After inspecting the technical specifications, both battery and AC voltage are registering at 0.0 volts. However, when testing the transformer with a DVOM, it shows a proper voltage output of 18v. It has come to my attention that Google has disabled voltage readings due to excessive data consumption. This makes me speculate if the doorbell is misinterpreting the voltage levels as insufficient, thereby impacting the microphone's performance. Your assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I've noticed that the Nest notifications have been altered from 3-second video clips to still photos. I've reached out to Nest customer support via calls and chats to resolve this issue, spending several hours without success. It seems that ever since Google acquired Nest, they have removed video notifications without informing their customers. I prefer the video notifications and have two case numbers – [redacted]2 and [redacted]2. I pay an annual fee of $[redacted] for this service, and if the video notifications are not reinstated, I will consider canceling my subscription in January [redacted].

I have noticed a recurring issue with my thermostat schedule. Despite setting Monday through Friday the same, the app keeps adding points randomly on different days of the week. I have tried deleting these points manually, but they reappear on other days later. Disabling Home/Away Assist did not resolve the problem. I suspect the Learning Function as it typically adds a 59-degree point, which is lower than we set. I have taken screenshots to illustrate the issue.

I purchased a Nest thermostat recently. It functioned for only four days before becoming unresponsive, causing the furnace to shut down. Enbridge, my natural gas provider, swapped the Nest thermostat for a standard one. I acquired the Nest thermostat from Home Depot on 5/11/[redacted] and had it installed by VM Installations, your smart home pro, along with a Nest doorbell. Kindly guide me on whether I should return it for a refund or exchange.

I was provided with a custom wiring diagram by Nest for installing my new Nest learning thermostat. I successfully wired and tested the thermostat. However, I noticed that the aux heat test is only blowing room temperature air, while the regular and emergency heat functions are working properly. One concern I have is regarding an extra wire marked as "T" that I taped off. This wire is supposedly for an outdoor temperature monitor, but I am unsure if it is necessary for the new Nest thermostat. I am seeking advice on how to ensure the aux heat blows warm air as intended.
