Hello, good afternoon. My name is Arnaldo Larotonda, and I live in Miami Beach, Florida, in the United States. I am reaching out because my ability to withdraw the funds raised for my cancer campaign has been blocked. I am a metastatic cancer patient with tumors in my liver, stomach, and kidneys. These funds are crucial for me to cover medical appointments and extend my life as I do not have personal insurance. Jackson Memorial Hospital is assisting me, but I still need to pay $[redacted] for each chemotherapy session, blood tests, and Picc line cleaning. My income is insufficient to cover these expenses. Most of the donors are childhood friends, former colleagues, and family members who have been spreading the word through social media to help me. I appreciate the support from people like Maria Escobar, Maria Hambly, Irene Gonzales, Jose Diaz, and many others who are rallying to assist me during this challenging time.

Good morning, I'm seeking advice regarding my 95-year-old mom living alone in Daytona Beach, Florida, while I reside in Pompano Beach. Given the current situation with Covid-19, nursing homes are not an option. I'm a long-term renter and looking for assistance in securing funds to either pay down debt or possibly buy a small single-family home to have my mom live with me. None of my siblings are able to help, and I can't afford a nursing home. Having our own place where my wife, who is a skilled nurse, and I can care for her seems like the best option. I'm considering starting a GoFundMe, and I appreciate any advice on this matter. Thank you.

Hello, I had a frustrating experience trying to verify my bank account with your customer service chat on 9/28/20, spending nearly 3 hours. I spoke with two representatives, Alexandra and Jamie; Jamie was notably more helpful. Despite my efforts, the payment processor did not accept my Rushcard account. Rushcard has been my sole prepaid account for over 10 years. I was asked to provide a bank statement showing the account number "[redacted]," which Rushcard does not include. After encountering issues, Jamie recommended opening a Chime account on 9/29/20. I urgently need the funds for my GoFundMe campaign to restore our water service. The delay in verification is causing significant distress as my son and I rely on this assistance. Please release the funds to my Chime account promptly. I cannot afford lengthy chat sessions and urgently require the funds for essential utilities. Kindly expedite the process. Thank you. Best, Porsha A. W. [redacted] [redacted]

Hello, I am Cheryl Harper, the account owner of our GoFundMe campaign. My father, Richard Rockman, is listed as the beneficiary. Yesterday, he received an email from GoFundMe saying they couldn't process the withdrawal of funds due to unverified information. We are confused because we set Richard up as the beneficiary weeks ago and completed the verification process without any problems. We want to ensure that the newly donated funds are transferred to his bank account, which is already linked to GoFundMe. We have completed all the necessary steps as per your email from yesterday, but we still see an "error" message. Please contact me as soon as possible so we can resolve this matter. Thank you for your assistance.

Hello, I am Jamie W., the organizer of the campaign for Joshua U. I recently learned that legal action has been taken against the campaign I initiated. There seems to be a misunderstanding that I wish to clarify. My intention was solely to help when I started this campaign, unaware of Joshua's life insurance coverage for his funeral expenses. As funds grew, I planned for a trust fund for Sebastian, Joshua's son, to secure his future. Despite Jenny U.'s imminent financial support from various sources, she’s now contesting the funds raised at a bowling event and those meant for Sebastian. Despite our limited time due to work commitments and grieving, Jenny is pursuing this legal action against us, causing distress. Sheila, Joshua's mother, and I are struggling to respond to legal requests promptly due to our current circumstances. I ask for assistance in clearing our names or finding a resolution. If this is not possible, I suggest redirecting the funds to cover funeral expenses, refunding donors who do not wish to contribute to Jenny, given the situation.

I am reaching out regarding the arrangement of my daughter's funeral costs. A lady from my church initially set up a GoFundMe account, which was then transferred to my parents. The stated withdrawal date was October 7th, but it has now passed without the funds being delivered. We are in urgent need of these funds to cover the expenses for the funeral. Despite my mom contacting you previously, we have not received any response yet. Please provide an update on the status of the withdrawal.

For nearly 8 weeks, my husband, Lungile, and I have been attempting to inform GoFundMe about an issue that we did not cause. I kindly request to change the beneficiary listed in all my campaigns - specifically in the Immigrant and Refugee Resource Village of Albuquerque. This organization was never selected as a beneficiary. Lungile is the intended beneficiary for one of my affected campaigns, the Homeless Project. Once the Immigrant and Refugee Resource Village is removed, we should not encounter any issues with withdrawing the funds. I urge you to review the original application as I never designated the Immigrant and Refugee Resource Village as a beneficiary. The following campaign links have been affected: Campaign link: gofundme.com/f/wage-loss-started-as-self-quarantine Campaign link: gofundme.com/f/urgent-water-relief-for-south-african-children Campaign link: gofundme.com/f/22vdd44mo0 I listed myself as the beneficiary for my personal account and have a joint account with my husband, Lungile. I did not list the Immigrant and Refugee Resource Village as a beneficiary in any of these campaigns. Despite sending explanations and evidence, the issue persists with the beneficiary being changed without our consent. Your prompt assistance in rectifying this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Nonkazi, aka Nonkazimlo (legal name) Sinandile

On behalf of my sister and her family, I kindly request that you contact the organizer of the Matt and Elizabeth Wagner memorial bench. Our family does not support this fundraiser. We also ask that the originator remove my niece's likeness from the page, along with her name, and any references to the late Elizabeth Wagner. The fundraiser, although started with good intentions by a group of young friends, may not be aware of all the tragic circumstances related to Elizabeth Wagner's loss. These details are based on final reports from the law enforcement involved in the case, which I cannot discuss here. It is highly inappropriate to include my niece in this. We wish the group luck with their fundraising efforts, but this situation has deeply upset my sister, her family, and all of us.

I am encountering issues while trying to withdraw my funds. The platform indicates my identification verification is incomplete, despite me attempting to provide the necessary information. Initially, it promised the money would be in my account by 10-7, but that did not occur. Subsequent attempts led to delays, now showing my verification as incomplete. Following a message about further verification due to campaign success, I am worried the funds may be returned to donors. I am unsure about the problem and seek clarity on the process.

Hello, I created a Go Fund Me campaign today and haven't set up the withdrawal options yet. There was an issue where someone accidentally donated €2,[redacted] instead of €20. This is causing confusion and stopping further donations. I need urgent help to reject or refund the large donation and allow them to send the correct amount. The campaign is for Dec Buckley to help him return home after being stranded in Spain due to Covid-19. I have only one linked account and provided my email address for reference. Thank you for your assistance. Andy Maunders

Hello, I'm Jeanine Gordon. One of my daughters organized a fundraiser on GoFundMe in the name of Josh, who is my daughter's boyfriend. However, this account is fictitious, and my son Ethan has one son named Kimberly. In July, Kimberly posted this on my son's virtual wall, and it was promptly removed. Subsequently, she contacted family members using their gathered contacts and shared the link to the account. I can be reached at [redacted] or [redacted] to have this removed and the money returned to the victims. I will inform our family about this deceitful act to solicit money in the name of my late son. There was never any trust involved, and she could not afford basic necessities, let alone hiring a lawyer to establish a trust. This situation is fraudulent and deceptive.

A fundraiser was initiated by my daughter for me as the beneficiary two weeks ago. Despite updating all the necessary information, I haven't received any donations or clear answers as to why. The lack of customer service has left me feeling frustrated and questioning the legitimacy of this platform. I've heard similar stories from other beneficiaries facing obstacles accessing their funds, which are crucial for recovery after tragic events like a house fire. I urgently need assistance in accessing the donated funds to support my wife and myself during this difficult time. If the issue is not resolved promptly, I will escalate my concerns to the media with supporting evidence to expose the concerning business practices of Gofundme.com.

I am experiencing difficulties with setting up my withdrawal for funds from the GoFundMe Morgan Family Fire. My name is Kamelia P., formerly Kamelia M., and my bank account reflects my new name, Kamelia Pinnock-Rutty. Last week, my family's home had a fire, and we initiated a fundraiser for support. Dooley Athletics arranged the fund for the Morgan family and subsequently transferred it to me. However, attempts to withdraw the funds have been unsuccessful as there was an address discrepancy between my driver's license and bank account. Even after updating my bank information to match my driver's license, I continue to receive errors when trying to withdraw the funds. Despite several attempts and ensuring the accuracy of my details, the withdrawal process remains problematic. I am concerned about potential refund issues and seek assistance in identifying and resolving the error hindering the withdrawal.

A few months back, I launched a campaign called "Darryl L. Winborn U.S. Air Force Veteran" that aimed to use a Community Redevelopment Project to rejuvenate regions in and around Leavenworth Ks, providing job opportunities for underprivileged youths and minorities. Unfortunately, my account has been compromised, including another one set up for a Veteran covid-19 survivor. Please reach out to me urgently at [redacted] or email me at [redacted] or [redacted] Thank you, DW.

On August 27, [redacted], my family made a $1,[redacted] donation to the Unexpected Death of Husband, Father, & Friend fund. Upon reviewing the details, I noticed an unauthorized $[redacted] tip added to the donation amount. I am unsure what this tip is for and would like to have it refunded to me promptly. When I made the donation, I did not see any mention of this additional charge. The fund was set up for my nephew who tragically passed away, and the recipient is his wife, Maria Folda. Kindly provide me with more information via email. Thank you, Barbara Bertran.

I am having difficulty sending money to my friend in Louisiana who is the beneficiary. He does not have a bank account or an ATM card, so a friend will help by receiving the money for him. He is not proficient with computers. I created a Gmail account for him and tried to set up a GFM account in his name using my information. This seems to be causing problems. He is about to travel to Oklahoma and urgently requires the funds. Any suggestions?

I need assistance as the GoFundMe account set up for my daughter, Jessica Holtz, who was a victim of a tragic incident, has been tampered with by someone who is not a family member but claims to be her aunt. This person edited the account and included themselves as a beneficiary along with Jessica. Jamie Donovan is trying to profit from my daughter's misfortune, who is currently hospitalized due to severe injuries, including the loss of her eye, from multiple gunshots. Jessica, a single mother, requires support, and the funds raised should rightfully be for her and her son, Leo. I believe this is fraudulent, and I am deeply troubled by this situation. I urge for immediate action to close down this unauthorized account and ensure that the donations reach the intended recipient. Your prompt assistance in resolving this matter is greatly appreciated. Subject: Assistance Needed for Veteran Fundraiser As the Treasurer, I received a link to input our Bank and Federal Tax ID details to facilitate money transfers for our non-profit organization's campaign run by Board Member Bill Charles. However, after submitting the information, the campaign no longer shows me as a "Team Member" but lists me as the "Beneficiary". The fundraiser should be credited to "Lafayette War Veterans, Inc." instead of an individual's name. The current display incorrectly lists me as the Beneficiary when I am a Team Member. I am unable to rectify this issue through the system. Kindly adjust the settings accordingly.

Hello, I am planning to launch a GoFundMe campaign aimed at educating the public on proper mask-wearing practices to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Many individuals are unaware of the correct way to wear masks, which is crucial in effectively protecting against the virus. It is vital to handle masks correctly to reduce the risk of contamination. People should limit touching their masks to when they put them on or take them off, always in conjunction with handwashing. Observing others, it is common to see individuals adjusting their masks frequently or wearing them incorrectly, such as below the nose or as a chin strap. The use of Neck Gaiters has also been discouraged by the CDC due to their ineffectiveness. To address this issue, I have partnered with a professional video production company to produce informative videos featuring the CO-Vid Kids, a diverse group of young actors. These videos aim to humorously teach the proper way to wear masks. As I prepare for the campaign, I am seeking advice on the best company structure to receive the funds raised on GoFundMe. Utilizing a fiscal sponsor for tax-deductible donations without pursuing non-profit status is my goal. Any insight on the ideal business organization for this purpose would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Michael Crystal, Seattle, WA.

I mistakenly used the wrong email address for my GoFundMe page. I intended to use [redacted] but accidentally entered [redacted] Despite accessing my account, I couldn't change it back to the correct email. I then attempted to update it to [redacted], but the change didn't reflect, nor did I receive a verification code. The app still shows the incorrect email. This issue is hindering my withdrawal process, preventing me from verifying and sending funds to the intended recipient. I'm experiencing difficulties with both email verification and login, making the situation frustrating. I seek assistance to ensure the funds reach their intended recipient promptly.
