I am reaching out for assistance regarding a concerning situation involving a former acquaintance, Jeanette Amerson, who created a GoFundMe using my story without my consent. I was hospitalized and in a coma for two days, and she raised around $7,[redacted] using my photo and story while I was incapacitated. Now, I am in need of the donations to secure housing as I am almost discharged from the facility I have been in for over two months. Jeanette has been uncooperative in giving me access to these funds, claiming she has a card from GoFundMe meant for me. Despite my efforts, I have not been able to retrieve the donations from her, as she has been dishonest and evasive. I have attempted to contact GoFundMe without success, and I am concerned about the legitimacy of the situation. Any assistance or guidance in resolving this issue and accessing the donations intended for me would be greatly appreciated. My name is Linda Berrett, and you can reach me at lindahberrett@icloud. com or [redacted]. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I received funds from a GoFundMe campaign organized by a close friend. However, when my friend tried to withdraw the money raised, they faced issues and were unable to do so. To resolve this, I was added to the account to withdraw the funds myself. After providing my bank and personal details, attaching a copy of my driver's license multiple times, and receiving a message confirming the funds would arrive in 2-5 business days, I felt relieved. The next day, I received an email from GoFundMe instructing me to set up withdrawals by July 25th. Despite reaching out to GoFundMe support, I am unsure if my details are verified and the withdrawal is in progress, leading to increased stress during what was meant to be a helpful time. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am Cynthia C., the organizer of a fundraiser for someone in need of medical care due to losing their eyesight. Despite following all instructions and submitting required documents multiple times to fix a withdrawal issue with the chosen beneficiary, we have yet to resolve the problem. After conversing with three different representatives and providing requested documents, the issue remains unresolved. We even attempted to make myself the beneficiary as suggested by a GoFundMe representative, but the problem persists. Urgent assistance is needed, as the funds are crucial for medical expenses. Contact has been made with WePay confirming all necessary steps were taken, but the withdrawal issue persists. Additional conversations with a GoFundMe representative named Lauren S. last night have not led to a positive outcome. Please, we desperately need immediate help to resolve this matter. Thank you.

I created a GoFundMe page for my friend Yolanda Olson, who is mourning the loss of her daughter Roxanne Olson. The account is set up under my name, Shellie Beaumont. I'm trying to input Yolanda's checking account number and routing number for the funds, but it's not accepting them. I even tried using my own checking account info since I set up the fundraiser, but that didn't work either. The website keeps showing a red error message indicating it's not working. We urgently need guidance on how to transfer the donations for Roxanne's funeral expenses. I prefer to deposit the funds directly into Yolanda Olson's account due to my name change post-marriage, which differs from my Facebook profile. Your assistance via email would be greatly appreciated in resolving this issue. Thank you for your support.

I am Rev. Russell Gray, the campaign manager for Samuel Dean's Liberia Fund. I established this account three years ago to support Samuel's efforts to distribute personal mobility carts in Monrovia, Liberia. Samuel, a paraplegic who fled Liberia as a child due to violence, is now in need of specific prosthetic assistance only available in the U.S. We are looking to update his current campaign to raise funds for his return and eventual continuation of his mission.

Hello,
I initiated a fundraising campaign a several months back titled “Assist Tyquan Brown's Loved Ones in Saying Their Final Farewells”. Although the campaign finished some time ago, I just received notification that a contribution is being contested. Supposedly, WePay sent me an email regarding this issue, yet I haven't received it. Consequently, I lack details about the donor, the donation amount, or how the error occurred as the campaign's purpose was clearly communicated. My partner, who is related to the person we were commemorating, handled the transaction to pass on the funds to the family. As students, we don’t have the funds in our personal accounts to reimburse the donation. I am seeking additional information to address this matter and do not believe there are grounds for returning the payment.
Thank you sincerely,
Tessa A.

I want to know the whereabouts of the 31 donations sent to Malinda Rackley Hooper's accounts. My payment was posted on 7/24, with an additional $2 fee assumed to be for your service. Unfortunately, the person I have been corresponding with via email has been dishonest, claiming the payment didn't clear. I have contacted the North Carolina Attorney General's office and am ready to submit a complaint against GoFundMe. They provided me with the BBB number. You have picked the wrong person to mess with! I am determined to see this through and will not rest until the money reaches the Hoppers or is returned to the generous donors. I want every single penny accounted for, as these donors are dear friends of mine. Time is of the essence as the situation is urgent. I have already started taking steps and will escalate this matter further with my attorney, Larry Gulley. This is just the beginning of my efforts to resolve this issue.

Last week, I created an account on Facebook to raise money for my son, who had his home burglarized and lost a significant amount of cash. Initially, donations were coming in, and everything appeared to be going smoothly. However, when I attempted to access the funds to help my son, I discovered that no money had been deposited into my account. Upon checking my Facebook post, I received a message stating that the page was unavailable. When I tried to contact GoFundMe for assistance, I discovered that there was no record of my account. I am frustrated by my inability to access the donated funds or reach anyone for clarification. I am hoping to speak with a live representative to resolve this matter promptly.

Hello,
I have been struggling to withdraw the funds from my campaign for over a week. Each time I provide the requested proof of identity, another document requirement is added, making the process frustrating.
This campaign was launched by Sarah Weir for my cat Mia's cancer treatment, which I couldn't afford. Accessing the funds is crucial for me, and delays are causing inconvenience.
I kindly request access to the donations from my friends and family, who contributed around $[redacted].00 to help me. A timely resolution would be greatly appreciated as I await your response to my concerns.
Thank you for your assistance,
Andréane

I have been in business for 18 years, always helping others without ever asking for help. Recently, due to a scam, I had to close my business. Now, I am seeking assistance for Judy, Tom, Melvin, Ladybird, Jack, Mr. Barney, and those who have benefited from God's Helping Hands. Despite my reluctance to ask for help, I am reaching out for support to restart and lease a new building. At 57 years old, this is the first time I am requesting assistance. I humbly ask for guidance on how to proceed in rebuilding God's Helping Hands. Thank you for your consideration. My name is Shirley Thompson.

There is a legal campaign titled Legal Fees/Civil Fees organized by Sabrina S. As a victim of domestic abuse and a friend of the family of the man she murdered, it is offensive to see her trying to raise money for a lawyer. Many claims she makes are untrue; she wasn't locked out of her house but evicted and charged with murder in SC. The campaign falsely portrays her as a domestic abuse victim, which is insulting to actual victims. I request this campaign be taken down as it violates GoFundMe rules. Thank you.

After experiencing a major setback in various aspects of my life, including housing, education, and health, I am proud to say that I have been clean from drugs and alcohol for 25 years. I crafted a funding request for $[redacted] to secure a new home computer and cover overdue rent, given the challenges I faced with housing safety and legal matters in New York City.
I diligently followed your guidelines for setting up a GoFundMe campaign. However, upon attempting to launch it, I encountered an error message instructing me to contact your administrators for assistance. It seems that I require your guidance to proceed with sharing my funding plea, even though I believe the content adheres to your standards.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone could reach out to me at my cell phone number, [redacted]. Your prompt attention to this matter would be invaluable.
Thank you,
George Brown

Hello! Recently, I created a GoFundMe campaign for a charity I am involved with. The charity, CEDASS, is a registered Canadian organization supporting South Sudan. Upon completing the campaign setup, I received a message stating there may be a violation of terms.
The message mentioned potential removal if found in violation, and a review period of up to 7 business days. After a thorough check, I believe we are compliant with all GoFundMe terms. We are a legitimate charity, eager to resolve this swiftly to kick off our campaign. I've put months into preparing a video for this cause, and I am keen on a quick resolution.
Thank you for this platform, looking forward to your assistance.
Sincerely,
Andrew Wyton

My boyfriend and I created a GoFundMe for our daughter who passed away in the NICU. I am currently trying to withdraw the funds, but I am facing issues with WePay regarding payment identification. Despite submitting my driver's license and a utility bill, the identification process is still under review. I am unsure whether I listed him or myself as the beneficiary on the account, as the card used for withdrawal is in his name. WePay has mentioned a 30-day timeframe for refunding money back to donors – could you please confirm how much time I have left? I am worried about the delay in withdrawing the funds. I hope to resolve this soon. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
Best,
Jaci S.

I am following up on dispute #[redacted] regarding the charge. I've contacted [redacted] on 8/5 for assistance, and Oliver from the trust and safety team replied on 8/6. However, despite following the instructions and having Bobby Farren make the necessary changes on the GoFundMe page, my account remains on hold. It's urgent as this involves raising funds for my daughter Hanna's medical treatment. Please advise on how to proceed promptly. Kindly contact me at [redacted]. Thank you. Karen Maiellano-Johnson.

Dear Community Members,
I initiated a campaign titled "Please Help Kevin Horne Fight Cancer" last week. My name is Christine Jollimore, his sister-in-law. Originally, I set up my Facebook account years ago using a combination of my first, second, and third names - Christine Alice Bridget. I've now updated my name to include "Jollimore" for clarity. However, when accessing my Go Fund Me account through Facebook, it still displays my name as "Christine Alice Bridget" instead of "Jollimore."
There seems to be confusion as my sister-in-law Kathy Horne's name (Kathy Carroll) appears in the account settings. I am encountering difficulty changing this to my name, Christine Jollimore, due to password authentication issues with my email.
I tried to withdraw funds to assist Kevin Horne with his medical expenses, but my account is now under review, and the deposit did not reach my bank account. If anyone can provide assistance in resolving these withdrawal problems promptly, I would greatly appreciate it.
Please contact me at [redacted] or [redacted]
Thank you for your support.

I tried to withdraw funds from my GoFundMe account, but it's showing that my withdrawal is under review.
I'm having trouble with my email password linked to my GoFundMe account. Even after changing it, it keeps saying it's incorrect when I try to log in.
When I log in, it shows my sister's Facebook account on my GoFundMe page on the shared Samsung Galaxy View. I need to change this but can't because it requires my Gmail login, which is not accepting my correct password.
I am the organizer of the campaign, not my sister, so I'm concerned this mix-up is causing the withdrawal delay. I haven't received the email explaining why the withdrawal is on hold.

I set up a GoFundMe for my goddaughter, Ja’Naiya Scott, who tragically passed away at the age of 11. A kind football player covered the funeral costs, but we still need help purchasing a tombstone for her. I am LaShaunda Cowan, reaching out to request assistance. If you can, please reach out to the Marcus D Brown Funeral Home in Anderson, South Carolina, the facility that handled her services. Thank you for any support you can provide.

Hello, I'm Demarion Redfield. I received an email stating my withdrawal needs verification. The address on file is my mom's, not mine. I'm 18, from Chicago, Illinois, just graduated high school, and need the money for college. Due to circumstances, my IDs have different addresses. I moved to a friend's place to finish high school, and although I updated one ID, I couldn't update the driver's license before moving again. While in Canton, Georgia, where I currently reside, I used that address to avoid issues. Unfortunately, my withdrawal hasn't gone through. I urge you to approve it as it's crucial for my education. I can provide my birth certificate if necessary; I just wanted to clarify the situation.

I set up a GoFundMe page called "Widow in Crisis" following the passing of my husband on August 4th. My name is Stephanie S. My family and friends helped create it. Unfortunately, a man named Michael L. from Missouri is spreading false and hurtful information, affecting my campaign. I am seeking advice on how to stop him from posting negative comments. If you can offer assistance, please contact me at [redacted]. The individual causing trouble is not associated with my late husband Richard S. He has no basis for his hurtful remarks. I will also be informing the police as I recently relocated to Hawaii from Colorado.
