On March 10, my account was hacked. Someone used the Memories feature on my profile to post something from 4 years ago with my name on it, warning about child exploitation. As a mother and survivor of abuse, I wanted to share this important message with other parents. I believe Facebook's security measures failed, as there were suspicious emails requesting a budget increase that I did not authorize. Although I caught the attempted charges of over $5,[redacted] and stopped them with my bank, the incident has caused me a lot of stress. Despite having two-factor authentication, I had to change my email, name, and password to secure my account. I used to run ads on Facebook without issues, but after this hack, my Business Page and Ads account are inaccessible. I have followed the necessary steps to appeal and prove my identity, but there has been no progress even after a month. I hope to regain access soon as it is impacting my business and customers.
