I am having trouble remembering the password for my account, and I am unable to access the email linked to it. Yesterday, my account was hacked after I clicked on a suspicious link sent by a Facebook friend which then circulated to my contacts. I have deleted the account the hacker used, but I cannot recall my password or access the old email associated with Facebook as it is from years ago and possibly inactive. I am seeking assistance on how to reset my password to regain access and update my email to the current one I am using.

Earlier this evening, I received an email from Facebook regarding a potential email address change. I initially thought it referred to an alternate email, so I proceeded to update it with my backup email, [redacted] However, upon confirmation, my account was flagged for possible unauthorized access. Despite my careful account usage and lack of previous hacking incidents, I am now locked out due to multiple incorrect verification code attempts. Facebook is requesting a photo ID for verification. As I have many friends on the platform, starting over is not an option I wish to consider. I kindly request assistance in unlocking my account to maintain its activity. My name is Barry G. Hello, I am seeking assistance regarding the lock on my Facebook account since February 19th. Initially, login issues arose due to not receiving a code. After multiple code requests, I was informed that no more codes would be sent for security reasons. The requirement for the code was due to a phone factory reset. Despite various attempts, including password changes, I encountered a message about unusual account activity, suggesting unauthorized access. I proceeded with the account unlocking steps, providing an image of my ID and email for confirmation. Upon receiving an email verifying my identity, I followed the enclosed link or used a specific password. Despite successfully unlocking my account, I keep being directed back to the locked account page regardless of the method used. I have access to the original email and phone number linked to my account, although the two-factor authentication number has changed, leaving me unable to retrieve codes. I listed a gold necklace with a clown image and a lady agreed to buy it for £[redacted]. She visited that evening, counted out the money in front of my husband, took the necklace, and left. However, upon inspecting the money, we realized it was counterfeit. I reported the incident to the police who collected the fake money. At 69 years old, we relied on that money for heating. My Facebook account has been hacked, my number is [redacted]. I am also giving the password so you can help me ([redacted]). It's been 3 days since my account was hacked. The name on my account was Akeel King. On the Facebook application, it only shows as blank, but when I try to put in a password, it asks for identity verification which is not going through. Someone has disabled it. If I try to forget it, the number which was linked is not showing my name. My number has been removed from Facebook and also from the email. I don't understand what to do. I am concerned that my Facebook and Messenger accounts may have been hacked. This morning at 10:50, my friend Jun Maligaya messaged me on Messenger asking for my phone number and email under the guise of updating his directory. I received a Yahoo verification code which he requested and reciprocated with his own code. Subsequently, my Yahoo, Facebook, and Messenger accounts were forcibly closed, leaving me locked out. Upon verifying with my friend, he denied requesting my information. He mentioned being hacked on Feb 14 this year, experiencing a similar incident. Although he was busy and could not offer more assistance, he promised to send me the link he used to recover his account. While I have since changed my Yahoo password successfully, my Facebook and Messenger accounts remain compromised. I seek guidance on post-hack procedures and plan to change my passwords promptly. My account was inexplicably disabled. I've provided multiple IDs to verify my ownership, but the system keeps asking for details that already match. I encountered an issue with one of my Facebook accounts. The problem began on December 11, [redacted], when a Security checkpoint page started appearing after a successful 2FA login attempt. This was unusual for Facebook in my experience. Despite logging in successfully, I was then prompted to enter an SMS code that never arrived on my phone. I suspect this is because I had removed the phone number associated with the account and replaced it with primary and recovery emails. Facebook did send me an email notifying me of one unsuccessful login attempt and offered to change my password, but each time I tried, the Security Checkpoint page reappeared and the SMS codes never reached my phone. I also received two emails with six-digit codes for login, but these did not match the codes supposedly sent to my phone, which I never received.

I have been using Facebook for several years and have always followed the rules. A few days ago, someone uploaded a profile picture without my permission. It's not something I would ever post on my account, so I'm concerned it may have been hacked. My account has been blocked since then, and when I received the email notification about it, I was at work which seemed very strange. I need assistance to unblock my account and remove the unauthorized photo to avoid any future automatic blocks. I fear this photo is the reason for the block. I have been struggling for a few weeks to access one of my two Facebook accounts. It seems like Facebook has mixed up the accounts, creating login issues. One account has two-factor authentication, complicating the situation further. Changing passwords only sometimes affects the other account. The six-digit codes sent by Facebook are not recognized. It's clear from my troubleshooting that the problem lies on Facebook's end. The solution would be for them to disable two-factor authentication, but I can't do it myself since it requires being logged into the account. Providing proof of identity to Facebook feels futile given the amount of personal information they already have.
