Two weeks ago, I received an email with a code to change my password, even though I did not request it. Shortly after, another email arrived stating that my password had been changed. Finally, I received an email indicating that my email address was changed, leaving me without access to my account. I cannot log in with my phone number or reset the password without access to this unknown new email address. The new email address is sharonsh9rc(at)hotmail.com. This is concerning, as I need to regain control over my private Facebook account and the two sites associated with my company, Peetzer Hof. I'm the manager of Farrari Yanni, a musical artist. Last week, his verified IG account @farrariyanni was hacked through a phishing attack. The hacker took control of the account and demanded ransom for its release. Despite paying the ransom, the account was not returned. We decided to create a new IG account @officialfarrariyanni, but the hacker promptly started adding fake followers to the new page, potentially to provoke IG into shutting it down. My mother's Facebook account has been hacked, and we received an email confirming her password was changed from Toronto, Canada, while she lives in Nottingham, UK. The email from Facebook's Security Team provided details about the password change, including the IP address and estimated location.
