I previously sent an email detailing the issues mentioned below. I believe that as a retirement community with low-income residents, Dollar General should offer and provide coupons to them. Despite the store being excellent in their town, the customers are specifically asking for coupons, which they are unable to access. In order to address this ongoing problem satisfactorily, I suggest sending coupons to my mother.
My mother was able to input her cell number at the Dollar General in Hooversville, PA, and received a code, but she did not receive the corresponding coupon as she does not have a computer at home. Today, when she tried to purchase items requiring a coupon, she was denied and had to pay full price. This situation seems unjust for individuals without computer access. The store should ensure that coupons are accessible to elderly customers who do not have computers.
I am awaiting your response on how Dollar General plans to rectify this matter.

While shopping at the store with my mom on Saturday, we both encountered issues with the coupons we intended to use. The coupons that were supposed to provide overage ended up just making the items free instead. Additionally, a coupon from the DG app did not attach to the item as expected. As a result, I paid $2.97 and my mom paid $1 more than we had anticipated. After reviewing the coupon policy, I believe that overage within a transaction should be applicable toward the entire purchase. If this understanding is incorrect, I would appreciate clarification to avoid similar issues in the future. If I am correct, I would like to inquire about the possibility of receiving a reimbursement of $3.97, either as a refund or store credit on my DG account. Thank you for your assistance.

I signed up for a new Top Cash Back account to redeem the $20 Cash Back Dollar General offer. However, I encountered issues when trying to link my Dollar General account to Top Cash Back. After multiple attempts, I had to create a new email address, a new Top Cash Back account, and eventually changed my email linked to Dollar General. Despite these efforts, I still faced problems logging in and resetting my password due to verification issues. Dollar General claimed my account was associated with an email address that I was unable to access. Even if I managed to resolve this, I am now unable to utilize the $20 Cash Back offer. This has been a frustrating and time-consuming experience, leading me to give up on trying to access the offer I initially joined Top Cash Back for.

On Saturday, June 26, [redacted], I visited the Dollar General store on Country Club Rd. in Winston-Salem, NC, around 5:30PM to purchase paper towels. At the checkout, I handed the attendant a $20 bill, and he returned my change by letting it fall on the counter, some even rolling onto the floor, without saying a word. I felt it was intentional as there was no apology or acknowledgment. Despite being a regular shopper at the store for years without any issues, this incident left me disappointed. As a retired human resources executive, I believe this behavior should be addressed to maintain customer satisfaction and prevent any negative impact on the store's reputation.
Thank you.

On Friday, June 28, [redacted], I visited store #[redacted] to purchase two restaurant gift cards, each at $40. When the cashier rang them up simultaneously, one was declined, resulting in a refund to my debit card that I am still waiting to receive. A manager intervened and processed another gift card, which I paid for, confirming both were activated. Upon returning home, I discovered that one card had not been loaded. Despite contacting the store and being advised to wait 48 hours, I reached out to Darden.com, who stated the card should have been activated during the initial purchase. I revisited the store, sought a refund, and informed that it could take 3-5 business days to reflect in my account. Unfortunately, the experience was unpleasant due to the store's disorganization and shifting staff. I seek a refund of $80 and wish to have this incident documented. Although discouraged by the store's issues, I aim to resolve this matter promptly.

I visited the Dollar General in St. Florin, AL, store #[redacted], around 2 p.m. The exterior of the store was cluttered with overflowing trash containers at the front entrance. I selected three items to purchase, observing that two were past their expiration dates but proceeded to the register. After a 10-minute wait with no staff in sight, I discovered two female employees smoking outside. When they returned with an unwelcoming attitude, I completed my purchase. During checkout, I noticed $35 in cash left unattended near the register by the employees during their break. Their response that they "don't worry about that around here" was concerning. As a retired deputy sheriff, I am troubled by their lack of accountability and indifference to their actions.

I live in Sevierville, Tennessee, and I have been a regular customer at your Boyds Creek Road store for the past couple of months. Lately, I have noticed a recurring issue with stocking carts blocking the aisles, making it challenging to access products. Despite my repeated visits in the hope of improvement, the situation remains unchanged. Last night, it took me 45 minutes to gather just 10 items like razors, batteries, shampoo, and more due to the obstructed aisles. This inconvenience is pushing me to consider shopping elsewhere, and I have spoken to others who share the same sentiment about the store's cluttered and disorganized state. While I have overlooked certain issues in the past, such as unprofessional behavior from management and staff, the current shopping experience is frustrating and off-putting. Please address these concerns promptly to retain loyal customers like myself. Sincerely, Bryon Potter.

I am a frequent shopper at various Dollar Generals in Florence, S.C. Today, on August 17, [redacted], I was shocked by the condition of the store at [redacted] South Irby. The store had numerous items waiting to be stocked on gurneys, but there were no employees available to work on them. When I inquired, the manager mentioned that there was only one person at the cash register. Seeing such disorganization in a store of a well-known company was upsetting. I wondered if it's due to the company's payment structure or employee treatment. Out of all the Dollar Generals I have visited in Florence, this one appeared to be the most unkempt. As a retiree, I even offered to volunteer to help tidy up the store. Customers were having difficulty navigating the aisles to find their items. I feel someone should inspect this store promptly as there seem to be safety concerns. It's important to address this as it's not a proper way to operate a business. Your assistance is appreciated.

I would like to share my disappointing experience with the store manager in Smethport, PA. I believe that the manager, Stacy, behaved inappropriately when interacting with my child. Despite us being paying customers, she was rude and made us feel unwelcome in the store. There was no valid reason for her to ask us to leave. Additionally, when I faced an issue with my payment method, Stacy refused to assist the cashier, causing me inconvenience. I hope that the company addresses this matter and ensures their customers are treated respectfully by their staff. This incident has left me feeling disgusted, and unless addressed, I may have to consider shopping elsewhere in the future.

I am wondering if it is permissible for stores to retain the change when cash is used for payment. At the Dollar General store located at the intersection of Frankford Ave and Linden Ave in Philadelphia, PA [redacted], there is a notice at the checkout counter advising customers to pay with exact change or a card due to a shortage of change. I recently experienced this situation when my bill totaled $25.76, and despite having cash, I was informed that they could not provide change. This seems suspicious since customers paying with exact change also seem to be impacted. I am curious if this practice is widespread across all locations. Before reaching out to a local news outlet, I am seeking clarification on the profits stores make by withholding change. Are these earnings properly disclosed in tax statements? I used to be a frequent shopper at Dollar General, but after this incident, I am reconsidering. I have spoken to others in my area who share similar sentiments. I would appreciate some insight into this matter; for instance, if one customer uses exact change and the next requires change for their payment, why is the store unable to accommodate both transactions? Thank you, Kevin P. Logue

Today, while shopping at location #[redacted], I encountered a cashier named Cheryl who seemed to be new and was handling a long line of over twenty customers by herself. I kindly asked her if she needed assistance from a manager, to which she confidently replied she could manage. Despite the challenging situation, she remained composed and efficient. However, I noticed that when she required balloons, other employees emerged from the office, but some seemed more focused on personal conversations and breaks rather than assisting her. Upon leaving, I inquired if she was a manager on duty, and she mentioned being one of them. It was disappointing to hear her make excuses about a faulty register and the lack of support, especially when there were experienced managers present who should have stepped in to help alleviate the situation. The store manager would likely not have allowed this to occur had he been present.

I usually visit DG [redacted] in Cadott, WI, where I used to work part-time until a few years ago. Last Saturday, Oct. 25th, I was shocked to find the store in a deplorable state. The shelves were empty, cluttered with incoming stock carts, making it impossible to shop for my 20+ items. The clothing and toy aisles were a mess with items scattered everywhere. Being the only store in town, the lack of stocked items is disappointing and affecting sales. I understand the challenge of managing a busy store with limited staff, but the situation at [redacted] needs improvement. I was unable to complete the Customer Survey due to the illegible receipt but left my contact details for feedback with no response after four days. A more organized approach and better communication are crucial for enhancing the store's performance and customer satisfaction.

Yesterday, on September 28th, I visited your store on Sierra Highway in Rosemond, California. I needed a shopping cart but there were none available inside or outside. As an elderly woman, I asked an employee if I could use one. The employee checked with the manager, who rudely refused. The manager then complained about wanting lunch. Despite my requests, the manager initially declined to help. Eventually, after some reluctance, the manager went outside to fetch a cart that was located near a car in the parking lot. The manager, named Ariana or Adriana, seemed upset about having to assist me.

I am very frustrated with my recent experience at Dollar General regarding a gift card purchase. The card I bought does not work, and the store is refusing to replace it. When I went back to resolve the issue, I was met with unhelpful and rude behavior from a manager named Jennifer who raised her voice at me. Despite having all my receipts, I was told that they could not exchange or replace the faulty card. There was no clear policy displayed before my purchase that informed customers about potential issues with gift cards. It seems like Dollar General is taking advantage of customers by not taking responsibility for faulty products. The lack of proper customer service and the treatment I received from the manager is unacceptable. I plan to escalate this matter further.

The store in Colfax, IL, has been unexpectedly closed until 3:00 in the afternoon the past three days, causing frustration among customers. A concerned resident noticed the store was finally open yesterday afternoon due to a lack of communication. Many cars were seen in the parking lot as customers rushed in worried the store might close again. The community heavily relies on this store, as highlighted by the writer whose husband was involved in its establishment. The current situation of limited hours and staffing issues is causing distress, especially with an employee mentioning his last day is approaching. The plea for assistance and support from the company is evident in the hope for a resolution to maintain the store's operation for the benefit of the town.

I have noticed that the Mc Cafe Coffee item has been unavailable for the past two sale flyers, even after checking at three other stores in different locations. Last week, at the East Main St. Waterbury, CT store, I had an unpleasant experience with a cashier. Despite notifying the manager, I am unsure if the issue was resolved. The cashier overcharged me for an item, which was not rectified promptly. Moreover, her unfriendly demeanor and lack of professionalism were disappointing. It might be beneficial to clarify the store's dress code as well. Although I plan to continue shopping at this store, encountering a similar situation in the future might lead me to shop elsewhere.

Today, I visited my local Dollar General store to return four items I no longer needed. Even though I had the receipt and paid in cash, I was informed that they could only issue a refund in the form of a gift card due to restrictions with their self-checkout system. This was frustrating as I needed the cash back. I bought dog food for $7, cat food for $7, cat litter for $7, and a rug for $20. As a single mother with three children and living on a fixed income of $[redacted] a month, this unexpected turn of events is challenging. I had intended to help my oldest daughter with the money I would have received from the return, but now we are left with items we cannot use as we do not have pets and our home has carpeted floors.

My coworker is struggling to get her DG app to work properly in order to access her coupons. Despite multiple attempts to reset the app, she keeps encountering issues where she can only use it once before being unable to login again. I have tried to save her login information on the app, but it still doesn't work. It's frustrating to constantly deal with this problem whenever she needs to use the app. I am reaching out about this problem using my email on her behalf as she is not familiar with the process.

On December 22, [redacted], around 6:58 pm, at store [redacted] in Grampian, PA, an employee named Karen J. was observed by several individuals exchanging prescription Subutex with a young man about 25 years old, identified as Mr. Polites, for money. This exchange took place on the sidewalk in front of the building, roughly ten feet to the right of the main entrance. The incident has reportedly occurred regularly within the local community. Concern arose about the accessibility of such substances to individuals struggling with addiction, like a family member of mine. The young man, Mr. Polites, who wears a black winter jacket with a fur-lined hood, admitted to purchasing pills from Ms. J. on a frequent basis. Discussions with him further revealed his willingness to cooperate. While contemplating the appropriate course of action, the safety and well-being of our loved ones remain paramount, urging a potential involvement of law enforcement should the need arise for concrete evidence. It is crucial to prevent harm and address this escalating situation promptly.

I recently bought several items from Dollar General in Gravois Mills, Missouri. When I returned to the store a few days later to return the items with the receipt, everything got confusing. The cashier struggled to scan the receipt, so he manually entered numbers while speaking to his boss on the phone. Unfortunately, when I got home, I realized he had refunded me for the wrong items. Some of the items I wanted to return were on a different receipt, which I didn't know at the time. He refunded items I had already used instead of the correct ones. Instead of refunding the money to my card or giving me cash, he made me buy Dollar General gift cards. This process was also a mess as he didn’t scan everything correctly and split the amount onto two cards inaccurately. This whole situation has left me feeling like I've lost money unnecessarily. I hope this issue can be resolved promptly.
