Good day! I reside in Cumberland, VA and am pleased to have two Dollar General stores within reach. One is situated on Anderson Hwy and unfortunately, the parking lot there is in a deplorable state. The interior is also messy, with some employees displaying rudeness or lack of knowledge, though not all of them. The management leaves much to be desired. However, the Dollar General that opened two years ago on Cumberland Rd (store #[redacted]) has been a delightful shopping experience. Even though I work near the first store, I prefer to stop by the second store 3-5 times a week on my way home. Recently, I learned that the manager from the poorly managed store has been relocated to the well-kept Dollar General. This news has greatly upset me as I find her management style subpar. I sincerely hope for her to be transferred elsewhere, receive retraining, or be replaced altogether.

My wife and I went to our local dollar store to buy cigarettes for us. She purchased them and realized in the car that she got the wrong ones. She went back and tried to exchange a pack of regular cigarettes for menthol. They refused, and when I asked to speak to the manager, she wasn't present. The employee was unfriendly and made another customer wait unnecessarily. Later, my wife went back to get the correct cigarettes and was met with more rudeness. We were never disruptive or threatening, yet the employee threatened to call the police. As a store manager myself, I know exchanges are typically allowed for unopened packs. The way we were treated was unacceptable for customer service. Thank you.

The store in Penns Grove, New Jersey, is never open when it should be. It's 3:20 in the afternoon, and I just arrived to find a closed sign on the door, even though I saw employees leaving just moments before in the parking lot. It's frustrating and ridiculous. The store needs a new manager as the current one seems incapable. The store is always messy with boxes everywhere. It's unbelievable and unacceptable considering the high cost of gasoline to come here. The management needs to do better.

I recently shopped at the Dollar General in Sulfur Springs, Arkansas. I use an EBT card that doesn't swipe, so I have to manually enter the numbers. The cashier told me they could no longer do this, despite being able to do it before. I am frustrated because getting a replacement EBT card in Arkansas is difficult. I used to work for Dollar General and know this is not standard procedure. The cashier mentioned it's a store-specific rule but this contradicts my previous experiences. I am disappointed with the service at this specific store and believe a change is needed.

I purchased 2 packs of cigarettes, specifying the flavor/type multiple times to the employee. However, upon arriving home, the cigarettes were incorrect. The next day, with the receipt and unopened bag from Dollar General, I attempted to exchange them, but the African American woman working there, who has been consistently rude and discriminatory towards white female customers, refused the exchange. Despite the store being closed when I bought them, her refusal makes little sense. I simply seek to have the cigarettes exchanged, as this experience detracts from my shopping at Dollar General.

I need to report a fraudulent charge on my EBT at the Dollar Store in Galena, Missouri. On 8/10/[redacted], there was a $40 charge that I did not make, as I only visited the store on 8/04, 8/08, and 8/12. I request the $40 to be refunded to my EBT card ending in [redacted]. I believe it wasn't the manager, Liz, who did this, but someone else who manipulated the transaction list. I will report this to the EBT food stamp office. It's concerning how easily these changes can happen, and I suspect others may have been victims too. Unfortunately, this kind of criminal activity is not uncommon in this area, with some locals being involved in similar schemes.

I live in Pawnee, IL [redacted] and I am a fan of Dollar General. However, I have some concerns about the store in my area. I have noticed that employees tend to take breaks together outside, leaving no one inside to assist customers, which could potentially lead to theft. I have observed young workers chatting inappropriately, and the self-checkout area causes delays as employees gather to talk instead of helping. Ever since the manager changed stores, the staff at this location have been rude, neglecting to greet or thank customers. As a result, I have started shopping in Auburn, IL, where the service is friendly and welcoming. The decline in service at the Pawnee store over the past three years has made it unpleasant for me to visit. I have been holding off on sharing my observations about the Dollar General in De Soto, KS for quite some time now, hoping for improvements to be made. Initially, when the store was newly built a few years ago, it was excellent and well-managed, meeting the needs of our town. Unfortunately, my recent visits to the store have been disappointing due to insufficient staffing, empty shelves, and merchandise left unattended in boxes because of understaffing issues. I have spoken with a diligent employee named Josh, who does his best but cannot handle all the responsibilities alone. I believe there is potential for the store to thrive in our growing town if proper staffing is maintained for stocking and customer service. Many residents share my concerns about the store's current state. I remain a loyal customer but hope that these issues can be addressed promptly. I am seeking an apology for a recent incident at Dollar General store #[redacted] in Lawton, Oklahoma. The price discrepancy at the register was not my fault, yet a neighbor paid the difference. When I mentioned to the neighbor that such situations occur frequently, the manager told me not to return to the store. It is important for prices to be accurately posted in business. I wonder if those in the corporate office would be willing to pay double for items like I did. I plan to contact Fair Weights and Measures regarding this issue. The manager's actions were unacceptable, especially considering my regular patronage. I would like an apology for the embarrassment caused. On a positive note, a young lady at the store provided excellent customer service earlier that day. Despite being a frequent visitor, I now feel offended and expect an apology for the manager's behavior.

I am unable to reset my password on the app. Despite several attempts over the past 3 months, I have not received any response from Dollar General. I am certain that my email is on file as I have been using the app regularly for a year. Many users, including myself, encountered issues with the app after the recent iPhone update. It is disappointing that we are facing ongoing problems without any resolution. Store [redacted] in St. Cloud, FL has consistently caused problems with the Saturday $5 off $25 digital coupon for years. Despite entering my phone number, the discount doesn't always apply to my total. Occasionally, staff will deduct a few dollars, but not always. Today, they refused all digital coupons, blaming machine issues. When I suggested contacting corporate, the sales girl reacted rudely. This store's problems always seem to impact customers. Conversely, I have no trouble using digital coupons at Family Dollar. Shopping at both stores is necessary for specific products, but the ongoing coupon problem at Store [redacted] is frustrating, especially with rising prices. Thank you for your attention.

I submitted a form on the website, but I am unsure about the response time. On November 19, [redacted], I requested help because I was unable to download the coupons I selected. Despite the spinning wheel indicating it was processing, the coupons did not download while I spent over $[redacted] at the store. I tried again the next day with the same result. I normally print coupons, but I am unsure how to clip them digitally as depicted on the site. Yesterday, I purchased minutes from Net 10 at a Dollar General store. When I got home and tried to add the minutes to my phone, I realized the pin was not printed on my receipt. I went back to the store immediately (located at [redacted]) where I made the purchase. They advised me to contact Net 10. I called them, but my call was disconnected twice before they could assist me. My receipt states I have 24 hours to report the issue. Can I simply send you a screenshot so you can help me decipher the receipt and retrieve the pin? I have made several purchases like this before without any problems.

I had an unpleasant experience with the customer service at the store. When I approached the register, the employee grunted as she had to get off a call. She then questioned the items I had in my hand, to which I replied that I had returned them to the shelf. I noted that I am not like other customers who leave items anywhere they please. The employee made a remark implying that I was average, which left me speechless. As I paid for my purchase, I raised concerns about the store's cleanliness and organization, particularly mentioning boxes left in aisles and potential safety hazards like cluttered hallways and a deteriorating parking lot. I left the store feeling disappointed with the service and lack of attention to safety. In the future, I will avoid the employee's shift and will consider escalating these issues further.

I checked online, and the website indicated that the Christmas hours were supposed to be from 8 am to 10 pm. I woke up early to do some last-minute shopping, but I was disappointed when the employee who opened the store was over 30 minutes late. The individual was quite rude to me, which I found unprofessional. I believe they should be let go from their position. This negative experience has deterred me from shopping at your store again, and I will be sure to share my encounter with others. The incident occurred at the Dollar General on Samet Drive in High Point.
