As a Silver Medallion member of Delta, I have sadly learned that this status seems to hold little weight within their operations. During our trip from Los Angeles to Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris via Atlanta, all four of our checked bags did not arrive with us in Paris. While two were eventually delivered after three days of waiting, the other two bags are still missing after six days, causing us immense frustration. Despite numerous phone calls to Air France and Delta, we have been informed that our bags may be in Venice, where we will only be for another day. To make matters worse, we have had to buy everything from clothes to toiletries to medications, greatly impacting our planned trip. The lack of assistance, especially from Delta, has made what was supposed to be a memorable journey quite challenging.

On Tuesday, August 21, [redacted], during a flight from Austin to Atlanta en route to Daytona Beach, I discovered that my checked bag had been unzipped. At the time, I didn't pay much attention to it due to our late-night arrival. However, upon further inspection today, I realized that a pair of my recently purchased Minnetonka moose leather moccasins were missing. These shoes hold sentimental value as they were bought during my vacation in Red River, New Mexico. I even have a photo of them that I shared with my husband during the trip and the receipt. The bag seemed slightly unzipped when I picked it up, which my husband and grandson also noticed. I am disappointed and upset by this situation and would like to have these shoes replaced. My husband and I flew on Delta flights [redacted] and [redacted] to Norfolk, VA on August 9th and returned on flights [redacted] and [redacted] to Little Rock on August 14th. We paid for our luggage to be checked for both flights. The issue is that as we boarded the plane, several people had their luggage checked for free, causing delays in loading. Some passengers with carry-on bags had so many that they struggled to find space. We believe that age should be considered when checking luggage and the weight of carry-ons should be limited. I kindly request a $50 refund as we are elderly and choose to check our luggage out of respect for others. Thank you for your understanding.

I am writing regarding a ticket I booked for my son, who is 16. When I called to cancel, I was assured there would be no penalty for cancellation and that I would receive a credit under the ticket number. However, when I tried to use the credit, it showed as unavailable. Upon contacting [redacted], I spoke with a man named John, who was extremely rude and unhelpful. Despite my inquiries, he refused to provide his full name or ID number and proceeded to mock me. This disrespectful treatment has left me feeling frustrated and disheartened. My family has been loyal JetBlue customers, but considering recent events with Delta, I am reconsidering our allegiance. Two unexpected events have occurred, prompting us to request a change to our flights: Booking Reference: GVKQ7S Sadly, a close friend has passed away suddenly, requiring our attendance at the funeral. The same day we received this heartbreaking news (due to a car accident), my wife and I rushed to support her husband. Tragically, my wife suffered severe injuries to her knee, leg, foot, and chin during this visit. She is finding it extremely difficult to move around with such pain, making traveling and navigating New Orleans infeasible at this time. We kindly seek guidance on the process of reclaiming the 42,[redacted] miles used for our tickets. Upon our [redacted] arrival at JAX on the 6th, we swiftly checked in, dropped off our bags, and headed to the gate. The pleasant surprise of a complimentary upgrade during the JAX to BOS leg brightened our travel, allowing us an early exit for our connection in BOS. Situated at the gate, we were approached by the fantastic agent Frank McGregor, guiding us to the podium. Anticipating a routine passport check for our international journey, we were dismayed when agent Angela handed us a phone to reveal our damaged luggage from the conveyor belt mishap. Anxious about the turn of events, we received further setback when a delay was announced due to overheating cabin conditions at Gate A7 for flight [redacted] to BOS. Agent McGregor ensured that we boarded by [redacted] and informed us that despite the delay, we'd still make our connection. However, while seated onboard, we overheard the Captain forecasting a missed connection to CDG, setting off a chain of events to reroute us unsuccessfully. Despite bag retrieval from [redacted] upon its return to the gate and a refund offered by OSM Farrah Landry, we ended up missing our CDG flight, resulting in an array of non-refundable losses including hotel reservations and pre-booked activities in Paris. My flight originally scheduled from Atlanta to New York, then Amsterdam, finally Lagos was changed due to a delay. I was rerouted to fly from Atlanta to Amsterdam then to Lagos. I had to endure a 5-hour wait at the airport. Despite requesting a low sodium diet due to health reasons, I did not receive the meal on both flights. Upon arrival in Lagos, my luggage was missing, causing a three-hour delay to be informed. I discovered my luggage had arrived at the airport 5 hours before I was notified, with no communication. Upon inspection, my frozen foods had spoiled, and my clothes were stained. I am seeking a refund for the damages caused to my frozen items, clothing, and for the overall unpleasant experience.

On August 20, [redacted], my daughter and two sons were traveling to MCO for a family vacation. Our first flight, DL2457 from BDL to ATL, experienced equipment issues, leading to a return to BDL. We faced delays, confusion, and ultimately a cancellation. Despite originally departing at 10:30 am, we didn't reach MCO until 11:08 pm, causing significant stress for my 10-year-old daughter and anxious son. Delta only provided snacks and drinks as compensation, separating us on the next flight into first class and coach due to limited seating. My wife and I are flying to San Diego on 9 Oct. I have 4 questions. 1. Will we both be able to check in a bag? 2. Can I bring a carry-on bag? 3. We both take meds. Do I need to bring all our meds with us? I usually use a med carrier for a week's worth and will bring as needed meds. 4. We are both in our 70s and have mobility issues. Good Morning, I am seeking a refund for a hotel and flight I had to book due to a severely delayed Delta flight. My wife, Elfriede, and I are currently in her hometown of Bamberg, Germany, celebrating our Diamond Jubilee 60th Wedding Anniversary and her 84th birthday. Unfortunately, our journey here was very unsatisfactory. Upon arrival at IAH (Houston), we were told our flight to AMS was delayed by eight hours due to a mechanical issue. We were not informed of this delay beforehand. Consequently, we missed our connecting flight to NUE and had to reroute via Zurich, Switzerland. The transit at Zurich was rushed, and we missed our connecting flight to NUE again, resulting in further delays. Despite the luggage mishap, our bags eventually arrived the next day in Bamberg. This trip has been unexpectedly exhausting and frustrating compared to our previous experiences with KLM and DELTA. We are hopeful for a smoother journey back home through NUE and CDG (Paris) and perhaps an upgrade or compensation for the inconveniences faced. My spouse and I had a flight from Phoenix Sky Harbor airport to Dublin with a layover in NY. The flight was delayed due to a mechanical issue and Delta had to arrange another plane, causing us to depart over 5 hours later. This delay caused us to miss our connecting flight in New York to Dublin. Delta provided accommodation for the night and rebooked us on a flight more than 24 hours later. As a result, we arrived in Dublin over a day later than planned. This delay led to two main issues. Firstly, we had pre-paid for a hotel in Wexford, Ireland, and couldn't cancel in time, resulting in a loss of payment. Secondly, we missed a day of work in Wexford due to arriving late, leading to both a loss of work and compensation.
