Dear forum members,
There is a concerning scam being perpetrated by Add #[redacted] at [redacted] E. Main St. in Lakeland, FL. As the legal representative handling the property sale, I want to clarify that the property is only for sale, not rent. Angry renters have reported that this individual is requesting money upfront by pretending to be the owner, using a fake email address. Please note that the real owner resides in Wisconsin, not Texas. Furthermore, my property photos have been unlawfully used without permission. I kindly request the removal of this fraudulent ad, as this is my second formal request. I have also alerted the Federal Trades Commission and will involve local authorities if necessary.
Thank you,
Cindy Moss

I have come across a fraudulent posting with ID [redacted] that was copied from a Zillow listing. My property has been trespassed by multiple individuals directed by the scammer. A couple arrived at my place last night claiming they had sent their deposit and were there for the keys. Contact the scammer at +1 [redacted]. When I reached out to him via text and phone call, he responded threateningly. Urgent action is required to take down this post.

I am unsure what a "default market-place" refers to. I have already mentioned this. It seems like you haven't reached out because you may believe I do not deserve assistance if I cannot grasp the concept. Alternatively, perhaps my repeated requests for help have led you to conclude that I am unwelcome on the platform and need to be dealt with rudely, as though I deserve punishment. Is it not clear that I am unfamiliar with selecting a "default market place"? Must I be punished for this lack of knowledge? I used to access the platform easily, but now I find myself unable to do so. I am disappointed in the service provided. I believe you can do better. Why have I been blocked? I have not committed any infractions. Please, provide the assistance I require. Thank you - Daniel (armadillo82292).

There is a free ad on Craigslist with a wrong phone number listed as the contact. It's unclear if this was done intentionally or by mistake, but it's causing frustration for both the caller and the unintended individual whose number is being used. I have tried to report it as spam, but it hasn't been corrected. It would be helpful if Craigslist had a way to flag ads with incorrect phone numbers, as this is not an isolated incident. I attempted to contact Craigslist using the provided toll-free numbers, but was unsuccessful as the calls were disconnected or led to automated recordings without the option to speak with a representative, particularly regarding fraud reports.

I posted weight equipment for sale on Craigslist and received a suspicious response from a buyer requesting communication through email at gavinhuey564@gmail. After replying, the buyer asked me to remove the listing and offered an additional $50 to hold the equipment. They claimed they would send payment via FedEx for the equipment, the extra $50, and funds for a mover to collect it. However, their email switched to sands58putyxhol195@gmail, signed as Gilda Roller, mirroring a scam my neighbor experienced. She received a fake check. Today, the buyer sent a FedEx tracking number. I'm wary of this situation due to the buyer avoiding Craigslist email, requesting mover payment, and the fake check incident. I have all email records. Should I reject the FedEx package with the check due to multiple red flags? Thank you for any advice.

I am having trouble accessing my listing for a [redacted] Chrysler Sebring JXI that was posted on 7.11.19 in the Hartford area cars and trucks for sale section. The listing appears grayed out, making it inaccessible not just for me but possibly for others too. Despite reaching out for assistance multiple times, I have been unsuccessful in resolving this issue. The ID# of the listing is [redacted]. I tried contacting craigslist using the numbers provided, however, one goes unanswered and the other requires a code which I couldn't obtain despite multiple attempts. The repetitive attempts to get help via phone have resulted in disconnections. This issue has been confirmed by my mobile carrier to be linked to craigslist. I would appreciate prompt assistance, thank you.

I believe my roommate sharing ads have been wrongly flagged and removed. I initially posted this morning, only to have it taken down immediately. I made adjustments to comply better with the Terms of Use and reposted, still to be removed again. I need a roommate urgently.
Here are the IDs for the removed postings:
[redacted]
[redacted]
[redacted]
I tried to follow the instructions in the help section about starting a new thread but couldn't locate it. I'm not sure why my ads are being removed when I can't even post one ad successfully. I suspect my competitors or someone flagged my posting incorrectly. I've even received negative calls I suspect are from competitors. Comparing my ad to others, I see inconsistencies in TOU compliance in other ads that are not being removed.
I desperately need someone from Craigslist to contact me as I'm quite upset and unsure how to resolve this issue.
Please contact me at [redacted].
Thank you - L.

I placed an ad on Craigslist for Knit Gun Socks or Gun Covers. The ad was confirmed via email and visible online. However, after editing the ad with the number of items available, it became 'Flagged for Removal'. I carefully reviewed Craigslist's prohibited items list before posting and found my items are not prohibited. They are fabric covers for items like long guns, keyboards, and fishing rods, not actual guns or ammunition. I believe the ad was flagged due to the mention of guns, which might have been misunderstood by users or the automated system. Despite checking the next day, the ad remains 'Flagged for Removal' and invisible online. I have received no communication from Craigslist and am unable to contact them. I request for the ad to be Un-Flagged and visible online promptly.

I am Katherine Young, and I am experiencing personal harassment from a person on Craigslist with the email [redacted] This individual has been sending me multiple emails expressing a desire to be with me, and when I refuse, he flags and deletes my listings on Craigslist where I sell items, including my Lincoln. He is spreading false accusations about me to Craigslist, which is untrue. I have evidence of his unwanted advances and requests for inappropriate pictures. He threatens to continue harassing me until I comply. He interferes with my interactions online. I seek advice on how to address this situation and provide evidence of his misconduct.

Hello, my name is Cyril. I recently posted an ad on Craigslist, noticing that it displays my personal email address. I would appreciate it if you could adjust the reply button to say "reply below" instead. This way, my personal email won't be exposed, and I won't receive any unwanted emails related to my post. Despite attempting to use the "do not respond to this email" and "CL" checkboxes, clicking continue prompts an error message about phishing, preventing me from successfully posting my ad. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue and re-posting my ad without revealing my personal email address. I await your prompt response.

I came across a Craigslist post for a stunning glass kitchenette set with cherry wood and four iron-like chairs in Chambersburg, PA that I wanted to purchase. However, the post has been taken down. I am urgently seeking the owner's contact information to inquire about the availability of the items and possibly make a purchase. Could you please provide me with the telephone number that was previously listed? I am very interested in buying the set and would like to know if they were sold or just not receiving any inquiries. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - L. Silver

I am selling a [redacted] Chevrolet Corvette LS5 [redacted]/[redacted] for $29,[redacted]. After asking the seller about the car's condition and receiving vague responses, it became apparent this might be a scam. The seller, Debbie Kolson, mentioned the car had no mechanical issues, accidents, leaks, or rust. However, when asked for more specific information like mileage and requested photos/videos, she dodged the questions and insisted on shipping the car due to her husband's hospitalization for heart surgery. It seemed suspicious, so we ceased communication to avoid any potential scam. Be cautious when encountering similar situations online.

I have been advertising on Craigslist for over 17 years, and it has been a significant help in selling many items. Recently, I have noticed that my listings, including my children's items, are being deleted. As a father of three, I rely on this platform to make extra money to cover our expenses. It's challenging to manage bills with a family, and Craigslist has been instrumental in supporting us. However, I am facing issues with my ads being removed, including listings for my kids' race track slot car sets and remote control trucks. Even my wife's handmade flower creations are being taken down. I have never experienced this problem in all my years of using Craigslist, and now it's becoming financially straining, especially with the added cost of paid ads. I feel targeted and worried about the future of my online sales. Craigslist is an essential part of my life, and I sincerely hope for a resolution to this situation. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

To whom it may concern,
I recently received the terms and conditions for using CL. I have been posting genuine ads on CL for some time, but they keep getting removed without explanation. There seems to be someone flagging all my ads even before they are published. It's not just me; others have also complained about this individual. This person appears to have multiple accounts to flag the ads swiftly.
I typically post ads in the community activities section seeking companions for paddle boarding, bicycling, and travel, without any charge. I have noticed that this person, who I suspect is the person flagging my ads, is preventing my ads from being seen.
Any assistance you could provide in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this matter and for not flagging my legitimate ads.
Sincerely,
Brian Young

I need assistance. I posted pictures of my mom's two recliners, both in excellent condition for $[redacted] total. Suddenly, I received strange replies from someone asking me to send extra money along with a check to cover movers from Texas, shipping, and taxes. Feeling uneasy, I declined to participate. Despite this, the person sent a check today instructing me to cash it for the alleged movers' payment. I fear being part of a scam. What if I cash the check, keep my share, pay the movers, and then receive unexpected bills as if the money was a loan? I value honesty and there are dishonest individuals taking advantage of others. Has anyone experienced something similar before? Please advise me on what steps to take. Thank you, Mayte (maytegp @ yahoo.com)

I recently discovered that a scammer has posted a fraudulent rental listing for my property on craigslist using the email address [redacted] under the name Dixon Cain Kenneth. Our house, located at [redacted] NW 16th St, Lincoln, NE [redacted], is currently listed for sale with a Realtor, so there should not be any rental advertisements for it.
The scammer's message stated that keys are not available for viewing as they are with them, which is untrue. They suggested inspecting the property through the window, a clear red flag. The email provided for contact is fraudulent. Please be aware of this scam and do not engage with them.
If you need to reach me regarding this issue, please use my legitimate email address [redacted] Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I recently hired a contractor from a Craigslist ad who came to fix my skylight at a rental property. Since his visit, the issue seems to have worsened, despite me paying him $[redacted]. I found a lost item advertisement from a user claiming to be a minor, which turned into a disturbing situation involving extortion attempts by the father. The user contradicts the initial claim of being 14-years-old and highlights how both the girl and her father are involved. Threats began escalating to $[redacted] and extended to social media and phone calls. The user clarifies they never engaged in inappropriate behavior with the girl but were falsely accused. The situation raised concerns about the lack of age verification for posting adult content. The user also referenced suspicious conversations about the girl's marital status and activities, leading to their decision not to meet. They have documented all exchanges and threats and are seeking legal advice, providing their contact information as Victor at [redacted].
