I have a serious complaint about a flagged ad for a Samsung UN55H6203 LED TV. I tried to post the ad, and it got flagged, probably by a competitor, as it competes with their item. I'm frustrated by this abuse and seek your help to resolve it, as I can't do it alone. I'd like to know the person responsible. Here are the details of the TV: Samsung UN55H6203 55-Inch 1080p Smart LED TV with various features and specifications. The ad was flagged immediately before I could do anything. I'm tired of this discrimination; it might turn into a legal issue. Please assist me in stopping this behavior. Thank you, Douglas Kerns, [redacted]. Feel free to call me anytime.

Someone keeps flagging perfectly fine posts on Craigslist for no reason, which is very frustrating. I suggest a feature change where users must be logged in to flag a post. If a user flags a post that doesn't break any rules, they should be banned and the post should be unflagged automatically. This would make browsing for connections easier without unnecessary flagging. Thank you.

I have been looking into a rental home listed on Craigslist for $[redacted]/month. However, I found the same property on @properties and realtor.com for $1,[redacted]/month. This discrepancy has raised some concerns for my safety regarding the legitimacy of the listing. I'm scheduled to view the property today and would like reassurance that this is not a scam. Can you verify the credibility of the advertisement and the person I'm supposed to contact at [redacted]? Safety is a top priority for me, and I want to ensure that everything is in order before proceeding with the viewing.

I posted an ad for my car on Craigslist in Boone, N.C. Recently, I received a text on my phone inquiring about the availability of the car. The sender asked me to visit SimpleAutoCheck.com. After questioning their request, I received no response. When I called the number provided, I only heard a busy signal. I am concerned that this might be a scam to obtain my phone number. I have now removed my phone number from the ad. Should I be worried going forward?

I have received numerous inquiries regarding my Samsung phone, and unfortunately, 90% of them have turned out to be scams. To combat this issue, I propose a solution to Craigslist. It would be beneficial if every seller posting an ad could receive an email from Craigslist containing a comprehensive list of potential scams involving methods like PayPal or cashier's checks. By educating users about these fraudulent schemes upfront, Craigslist can help prevent individuals from falling victim to scammers. In my recent experience, I encountered three suspicious contacts within a short period, reinforcing the prevalence of such deceitful practices. While I was almost duped by a cashier's check scam in the past, this time I detected red flags and researched PayPal scams online. Providing users with an updated list of common scams under a prominent heading labeled "READ FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION" would enhance awareness and protect unsuspecting individuals. It is crucial for Craigslist to fulfill their ethical duty by warning users about prevalent scams in the marketplace. Thank you for considering my suggestion.

I want to report a fraudulent posting for a [redacted] Honda Accord EX that appeared on July 4, [redacted]. I responded to the ad using the email [redacted], supposedly from Sandra Parker. Unfortunately, I was scammed out of $1,[redacted] in this scheme involving a fake Army Medic seller claiming to be awaiting deployment on August 10. The post disappeared shortly after I contacted them, and I suspect foul play. I have already reported this to Ebay, the FBI, and local law enforcement but wanted to reach out to Craigslist as well. Could you investigate this incident and provide any information related to the listing or the scammers involved? I have emails exchanged with Sandra and the fake Ebay Motors, along with details of the transactions. Your assistance in helping track down these scammers and prevent others from falling victim would be greatly appreciated. I am Derek (Rick) Sebastian. I am writing to bring to your attention an incident involving a mobile mechanic named Mike Elinburg (contactable at [redacted]) I hired through a "Craigslist" ad. Despite contacting him for a water leak repair in my car, he unnecessarily replaced parts unrelated to the issue and left when the problem persisted. As a disabled senior, my spouse and I were taken advantage of due to our physical limitations. Another mechanic, Greg Howell ([redacted]/[redacted]/[redacted]), later confirmed the repair done by Elinburg was falsely claimed. Moreover, Elinburg's defamatory post on Craigslist, falsely accusing me, greatly distresses me. I kindly request prompt removal of his post. You may contact me at [redacted]/[redacted]/[redacted] or [redacted] for further information. Thank you for your swift attention to this matter. Derek (Rick) Sebastian

I have encountered issues trying to list my trailer on Craigslist for the past month. It keeps getting flagged, and I am unsure of the reason. If I receive guidance from you, I am willing to attempt listing it once more, but if the problem persists, I will concede. I prefer a personalized response and have included my contact number at [redacted]. Initially, I used [redacted] but encountered scammers who threatened to report me when I refused to engage in their fraudulent activities. I switched to [redacted], which was promptly flagged as well. I wanted to avoid my cluttered email ([redacted]) to promptly identify genuine offers. Despite encountering scammers, we were able to sell a truck successfully in the past. I have attached three of the posts I attempted to submit, although I have made attempts to post, edit, and repost five times since June 29th. I appreciate a direct response either via call or email. Thank you, Janice B.

Yesterday, I was supposed to meet someone about 31/2 hours away. I had been talking with this person for two days. When I got there, he wanted to meet at a Woodman's store, which was fine. The first thing he then told me was he was working, and I would have to wait about an hour. This went on for a couple of hours with one excuse after another. He kept asking me where I was sitting in the parking lot, and I told him right in front of the store. Then he wanted to know what kind of car I was driving and the color. Feeling uneasy, I provided a different description than my actual car. I noticed there was no white cargo van like the one I was dealing on that pulled into the parking lot. When he called back, he started screaming that I had hung up on him three times, which was false. I suspect this was all a setup for someone to rob me. Today, I checked Craigslist and cannot find the work vans (he had listings) listed anywhere. I had saved the van I was looking at, so I could find the Post ID number - [redacted]. The guy's phone number was [redacted]. He claimed his name was Steve Hoefler and he was located in Kenosha. Please investigate this and get in touch with me. This seemed like a scam and could be dangerous. Thank you. - Gary

I'm seeking assistance without being charged for it. I need help accessing CL without any fees involved. I would appreciate a phone call to explain why I can't log in and what steps to take. I may not be tech-savvy but willing to learn. Assistance could potentially generate more traffic for you. Give me a chance this time, and I won't bother you again. Charging for basic help seems excessive. Thank you, D.

Hello, I reside in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri area and recently came across an ad in the ATV section. The ad is for a [redacted] Polaris [redacted] Ranger priced at $[redacted]. It seems suspicious as they are insisting on using eBay Motors for the transaction, despite the fact that I am located just 15 minutes away from the supposed location of the unit. I feel this ad is a scam and wanted to share this information with others.

I previously interacted with an individual in October regarding night vision scopes from a Craigslist seller in Arizona named SAD, a survival group. I received two scopes that didn't work as part of a trade. After sending one scope back to the factory, the contact from SAD suggested I send the other back to him for faster service, which I did along with additional money for an upgraded optic. However, I was informed that the upgraded optic wouldn't work, and despite reaching out multiple times, I haven't received a response. I sought help from the FBI, who advised reporting this issue. The contact, John Heffington, located at [redacted] W Cheery Lynn Rd, Avondale, AZ 85[redacted], has not provided the President's or other members' contact information. His phone numbers are [redacted] and [redacted], with an email at [redacted]

After posting an item for sale on the general app, I received a message to confirm the posting via email. Even though the ad is visible to me, it's not showing up when I search for it on Craigslist. This means others can't see that I'm selling a lawn mower. I find it frustrating that I can't easily communicate with a person to resolve this issue. The voicemail options don't provide the assistance I need. I wish I could speak with a representative directly to address this problem efficiently.

I have been facing challenges trying to find a new home for my dog on Craigslist. Despite my efforts, my ad keeps getting flagged for removal shortly after posting. Although I have included a rehoming fee in the ad, I believe it is reasonable compared to others, and I have been flexible with potential adopters on the fee amount. Unfortunately, I am unsure of the specific "community standard" my ad is violating, making it difficult to make necessary adjustments for it to stay up. After reading through the pet ads discussion forum, I came across a post from an individual boasting about flagging ads with fees they deemed "too high," without providing clarity on what that threshold entails. I have made various modifications to the ad, including reducing the fee and even removing it entirely in some instances, yet the ad continues to be taken down within hours. I am beginning to suspect that someone may be deliberately targeting my ad and reporting it each time it is posted. This persistent flagging not only hinders the rehoming process for my dog but also prevents potential adopters from seeing her. I am open to making changes to comply with community standards if I receive guidance. I am hoping for advice on how to create an ad that will remain visible until my dog finds a new loving home.
