I have had three of my ads flagged and removed in the past due to unintentionally posting them multiple times. When I tried to post a new ad, it didn't show up immediately and then suddenly reappeared three days later as the same ad posted three times. Someone also sent me a rude email insinuating that I should stop posting excessively, which was confusing as I wasn't aware of the issue. I recently realized that my ads had been removed by the site, which I would have corrected had I known they were duplicated on the same day. I'm puzzled as to how certain ads, like a specific orange Corvette in Knoxville, TN under the barter section, consistently appear on the front page every day while others like mine get flagged. Is there a way to address this inconsistency and flag such recurring ads for review?

When posting in the Boston area, you must select one of the five sub-categories to proceed (such as "metro west" or "north shore"). If you are not seeing good results in the current location you chose during posting, you may be wondering if you can switch to a different location. For instance, if you initially posted in metro west, can you change it to north shore to potentially reach a different audience? Is it better to edit the existing ad or delete it and create a new one in a different sub-location within Boston?

As a genuine product marketer with a [redacted]% rating on eBay, I recently designed a Trump Window Cling and priced it at $1.99. I aimed to promote it on Craigslist using a PayPal button for transactions. Surprisingly, Craigslist prevented me from adding the PayPal button, even though I have excellent credentials and a trusted reputation on eBay. I am willing to comply with any necessary registrations or requirements to prove my legitimacy. Please advise me on the steps I can take to resolve this issue and proceed with selling my product on Craigslist. Thank you for your assistance. - L. H.

I listed a car on Craigslist and paid with my VISA Debit card. The post seemed successful. Shortly after, I got a text from [redacted] inquiring about buying the Mercedes. When I agreed, they sent a Google verification code. Despite not entering the code in Google, I replied with the code and requested a call, but they didn't call. Then, I was messaged from [redacted] expressing interest in the car, but they didn't call despite my request. Following this, another text arrived from 87-[redacted] claiming my Craigslist payment was pending and provided a suspicious link. I'm uncertain whether these interactions are legitimate.

I've had two posts removed recently and encountered rude responses after trying to post a Missed Connection at Winn Dixie. Here is my original post: Date: [redacted]-08-25 31:05 Title: Winn Dixie; Brooksville-Sherman Hills-2:35 PM-Sat 08/24/19 I was behind you at Winn Dixie on Cortez on Saturday at 2:35PM. Your cart had 3 bags of sugar, a box of dog treats, a loaf of bread, and other items. Despite the lady in front taking long to check out in a wheelchair, you stayed patient and smiled. I don't believe this breaks any rules, but I received removal notifications. One person accused me of stalking, which isn't the case. I just referred to the lady in the wheelchair for context. Please contact me with the area code you provided at checkout or describe your cart contents for identification. I hope you see this and we can chat or email sometime.

I own a historic home with a large rental unit and a small one. The large rental unit has been rented for 10 years to one couple. On August 4th, I posted an ad on Craigslist for the small unit. It has not rented yet, so I asked the couple in the large apartment if I could mention them in the ad, and they approved. I added that they were a quiet couple in their 60s, that he is a professor at a local university, and that they have no pets or children. I did not mean to imply that children weren't permitted, just that the current tenants do not have children. Craigslist flagged this because of the words "no children." Although this was not about denying children from renting, I attempted to remove it, but was unable to access the posting to make changes. Can you assist me in accessing the posting to remove those words, or should I create a new posting?

I previously sent an email, but I'm unsure if it reached the right recipient. There is a posting with ID[redacted] advertising a room for rent in Snohomish. I feel it is important to inform others that the couple residing there have alcohol-related issues. Unfortunately, my daughter had to move out due to verbal abuse from one of the individuals living there, who happens to be related to the owner. I want to prevent anyone else from experiencing what she went through during her six months of stay. The owner took no action to assist her and, in fact, became upset with her. I have consulted with a lawyer, although we have not needed his assistance as of now to help my daughter vacate the premises.

On September 3rd, I responded to a Craigslist ad from "[redacted]". They requested $[redacted] via a Walmart gift card for a Yorkie shipment. Later, they asked for an additional $[redacted] for a shipping crate, then $[redacted] in two $[redacted] Walmart gift cards for delivery. Now, they are requesting $[redacted] more for a rabies shot or $[redacted], claiming the seller would cover the remaining $[redacted]. I have spent a total of $[redacted] and realized it's a scam. I refuse to send more money. I urge others not to fall for this scam and hope to receive a response to my email.

Today, I purchased a Yukon 2 seater spa advertised on Craigslist as only 18 months old from a man who seemed trustworthy. Unfortunately, what I received was an old, damaged Marquis Spas tub that does not match the advertised make or model. The tub's motor even has a crack in it. Here is the original advertisement: [redacted]. I have a copy of the email I responded to and his phone number, along with photos and text messages exchanged. The post has since been deleted: [redacted]. Despite feeling uneasy about the situation, I proceeded with the purchase and now regret it. I am 70 and worried about what to do next. Thank you for your assistance. -Michelle

I recently encountered a scam on Craigslist involving a fake check. The scammer claimed to be interested in purchasing my table for $[redacted] and sent me a check for $[redacted] with instructions to transfer the remaining amount to supposed movers. Even though the check appeared to clear online, my banker confirmed it was fake after speaking in person. The check was fraudulently using a real company's name, Avfuel, based in MI. I have reported the incident to the FBI and informed Bank of America of the misuse of their account. I have details of the scammer's name, address, and bank account number. I want to warn others about this scam on Craigslist, but I am unable to speak to anyone at Craigslist directly. How can I reach someone at Craigslist to report this fraud?

I was having trouble finding my camper listing on Craigslist Birmingham. I initially posted it under "trailers" but couldn't get it to show up when I searched for "camper." I then tried posting it under "RVs." After watching a tutorial on YouTube, I realized I had to select "post" and create my listing under "all." Unfortunately, all my pages ended up being flagged for removal. All I wanted was for my camper to appear when someone searched for it under "camper." I didn't expect it to be the first result, just to be listed somewhere. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Hello, my name is Vilma Prado. I believe I made a mistake with my Craigslist account. I have been using my Hotmail email for a few years, but last month I changed it to my Gmail due to login issues. I had posted a room for rent with the following details: [redacted]. I have already fulfilled this ad and now wish to remove it. However, I am unable to edit or delete it as I cannot access my account to log in, and I have forgotten my password. Could you please assist me in changing my email back to Hotmail so I can access my account and cancel this ad promptly? I can be reached at [redacted] or [redacted] I am looking forward to your response. Thank you, Vilma Prado.

Hello, My spouse and I own a rental property in Grants Pass, and our advertisement keeps getting flagged as a scam. This has resulted in reduced visibility for our listing. Recently, a potential tenant contacted us after hesitating due to the negative flags and comments. Renting out the property is crucial for our income, especially in an area with a housing shortage. We rely on Craigslist as our main advertising platform. We suspect these actions are in retaliation by a previous tenant who was evicted for non-payment and illegal activities on the premises. Thank you, K. and G. Bowden

Hello, my spouse and I own a rental property in Grants Pass. Recently, our advertisement has been repeatedly flagged, causing us to lose potential renters. Despite our lovely home's appeal in an area with housing scarcity, derogatory comments are deterring interested individuals from contacting us. Our rental income depends significantly on getting the property occupied promptly, and we usually receive numerous responses within days of listing. We suspect the negative actions stem from a former tenant we evicted due to non-payment and illegal activity. As Craigslist is our primary advertising platform, we kindly request the removal of the flag and comments to facilitate the renting process. Thank you for addressing our concern. Kimberly and Gary B. Someone has fraudulently listed my home for rent at [redacted] Collier Place, Nanaimo, BC, Canada. The property is actually for sale, and the pictures have been taken from the sale listing. A friend who inquired received a response from someone named Zack Harry at [redacted] with incorrect information. I have contacted Craigslist twice, but the ad is still up. Craigslist requires an Ad ID # to take action, but it is not available on the ad. The police directed me to the Canadian anti-fraud agency, who only serve as a repository. I have called Craigslist's toll-free numbers, but they suggest emailing. Thank you for your assistance. -Nancy H.

I tried to post an ad on Craigslist.org under Missed Connections for Central Los Angeles tonight, but it didn't show up. Here is the content of my ad: "To the young man working as a cashier at a gas station in Los Angeles. I am a mature white male who appreciates your beautiful eyes. I wanted to let you know that I admire them. I regret not having the courage to ask you out for coffee. I genuinely just want to get to know you better. You are like a mystery to me, and I have no ulterior motives." I hope my ad can be posted this time. Thank you.

I went online looking for Elton John tickets on Craigslist Orange County. I found a post by Brad Larson on Ticketmaster with floor seats in section [redacted] for the Honda Center in Anaheim. I called him at [redacted] and agreed on a price for two tickets to the 8:00 PM show. He mentioned I would receive an email from Ticketmaster with the tickets. Brad couldn't use PayPal or Venmo due to a prior issue and asked me to use Zelle. After the transaction, he assured me I'd get the tickets but I never did. I later discovered he was a known scammer. Be cautious of Brad Larson and avoid making any payments to him. His Zelle info is tied to the email [redacted]

I am having trouble progressing past the map. It seems to be stuck, and when I attempted to use the Google Map compass to locate the address, it keeps changing the zip code and town. After locating the address with a pin on the map, there were no further instructions on what to do next. When I scrolled down, the map seemed endless, and I couldn't find any prompts to move forward. I tried clicking in different directions, but there were no options presented.

I came across an $[redacted] Honda Accord on Craigslist and unfortunately fell victim to a scam losing $[redacted]. The seller claimed to use eBay Motors for transactions and asked for payment via gift cards. Believing them, I loaded two $[redacted] gift cards and sent the funds through eBay Motors. It later turned out that eBay Motors was a fake entity. Shockingly, the scammer reposted the same [redacted] Honda Accord on Craigslist just thirty minutes ago.

I have a beachfront home with rooms for rent to compatible roommates in a welcoming, clean, and sober environment. Unfortunately, there is a person who consistently posts slanderous remarks about me whenever I advertise a room. I am an active member of AA and have assisted many individuals in their sobriety journey. These false statements are tarnishing my reputation and my beautiful home. I am seeking assistance in identifying and blocking these individuals to prevent further defamation. I need someone to monitor my listings periodically to prevent such behavior. Slander and bullying are unacceptable. The person causing trouble has targeted multiple of my posts. I am Delania Weatherwax, and I have advertised a room for rent on Humboldt County Craigslist, a gardener's paradise. Please contact me via email at [redacted] or by phone at [redacted]. Your support is greatly appreciated. - Delania Weatherwax
