I received an email from Costco on December 22 offering rewards for completing a survey. I selected a reward, but was unexpectedly charged extra fees to my visa. After attempting to resolve the issue and having my charges voided, I was informed by my bank to cancel my card for security reasons. This happened at an inconvenient time right before Christmas. The next morning, I received another Costco survey email. I've noticed other complaints about this survey scam and find it concerning that customers are not being warned. Despite trying to contact the corporate office, it has been challenging to speak with someone directly. I would like a phone call from the appropriate corporate department to address this promptly. Thank you, Sue Tine.

I am disappointed with the service received at the Mettawa Illinois warehouse. I called ahead to confirm the availability of a prime, packer brisket, clearly specifying my request with the Meat department. Despite being assured they had it, upon arrival, I discovered they did not carry the item. The lack of correct information caused me to waste time navigating the store and interacting with unhelpful staff who were indifferent to the situation. This experience was particularly frustrating as I usually find Costco employees to be helpful and focused on problem-solving. I hope that moving forward, the staff at Mettawa can be better trained to provide accurate information in such situations. Thank you.

Dear Customer Service, I recently purchased a humidifier from your Dallas Churchill store, only to discover that the panel was damaged. I exchanged it for another unit from the "new" pallet, but unfortunately, this one also arrived damaged and clearly used with funk inside the unit. It's disheartening, especially as I purchased it for my sick mother for Christmas. As a loyal customer who has spent thousands at your store between my current and previous memberships, I am quite disappointed with these experiences. Unfortunately, I won't be able to return to the store before the sale ends. Looking forward to hearing how you plan to address this issue. Sincerely, Austin U. Member: [redacted]82

On Sunday morning, December 29, [redacted], I bought Deluxe TurboTax at Costco. The associate placed it on the top of the shopping cart. While loading other items in my truck, I forgot about the TurboTax and left it on the cart. When I returned to the cart area, a female attendant said she hadn't seen it. I then went inside, and a man in a red vest checked but claimed no one had returned a TurboTax item. At around 11:55 a.m., I called and left my cellphone number [redacted] for further assistance. I am wondering if Costco provides customer courtesy in situations like this to help resolve the issue.

I enrolled in the auto-renewal program for my membership this year. Last year, when I tried to renew in person at the store, I had to wait until my membership expired, and then the renewal would be added to my bill upon my next purchase. Knowing this, I expected my renewal in February. To my surprise, the auto-renewal charged me a month earlier than I had anticipated. As I live paycheck to paycheck, this early charge has left me at risk of overdrawing on my account and missing my rent payment. Previous automated payments I've set up always notify me before charging, but I didn't receive any notice from Costco for this renewal. I'm frustrated that I couldn't renew in person during January, yet Costco had no issue charging me $60 on January 1st. I request that Costco ensures I receive adequate notice before any future charges to avoid any financial hardship. This experience has been stressful and may result in costly overdraft fees. Thank you, Kevin F.

Last night, I experienced disappointment when picking up our order of 3 pizzas. Despite calling ahead, I arrived a few minutes late and was informed that the pizzas were not ready as perceived due to a misunderstanding about when they should be put in the oven. Although this caused a delay, a supervisor intervened and compensated one of the pizzas. This incident raises concerns about honesty in customer service at Costco. Emphasizing honesty and accountability with customers is crucial for maintaining trust and satisfaction. Acknowledging mistakes and addressing them transparently can greatly alleviate customer frustrations. Your attention to this matter is appreciated. Sincerely, Lee Sommitz

Yesterday at the Louisville, Kentucky Costco on Norton Healthcare Blvd, I found myself in a tough spot. After damaging my recently purchased tire by running over a curb, I panicked when the tire warning light came on a few miles away from Costco. Upon arrival, the tire department informed me the tire was beyond repair, and Costco didn't have a replacement. Supervisor Lee and the tire department manager tried to assist, but it seemed complicated. Eventually, a solution was reached with my husband's help. We purchased a new tire at another Costco location, returned to our store for a price adjustment and installation. Despite the ordeal, Costco's team managed to make it work, and I was grateful for their support during my unexpected tire emergency. Thank you, Costco, for your outstanding customer care!

We, a small committee, are organizing a communal street party in the Vernon Institute courtyard (Saughall) on Friday, 8th May to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day. There has been significant interest in a traditional potluck party but we would like to provide complimentary teas, coffees, and soft drinks for the children. We are expecting around [redacted] attendees, half of whom will be children. Adults will be charged a nominal fee for tickets, while children will attend for free. The event will feature entertainment, games, and plenty of festive bunting. This event was initiated by Saughall Parish Council but is now being independently organized by our smaller committee. Thank you for considering our request. Kath E.

Adults will be charged a nominal fee for tickets, while children can attend for free. Thank you for considering our request. Best, Kath E.

In early January [redacted], I received an email from Costco offering a free gift. Upon opening the email, I ordered three items from Active Petal - CBD Oil, Sleep Aid, and CBD Pain Relief - totaling $30.75, paid for with my credit card. Subsequently, my credit card was charged $93.21, which I suspect was for the CBD Pain Relief cream, and $89.97 for an unknown product with vague descriptions on the statement. I have disputed these charges with my credit card company. I aim to reach out to Costco, as a loyal customer, to express concerns about such promotional emails, particularly for seniors on fixed incomes. Thank you for addressing this matter in advance.

I typically spend around $1,[redacted].00 per month at my Costco located at the Christown Mall in Phoenix, Arizona. I am extremely displeased by the news that the store will be closing in September. Many Costco members, including myself, are upset about this closure. While there are other Costco locations in Phoenix, it is not a convenient solution as it will lead to more congestion, longer wait times at the checkout, extended travel time to and from the store, and other inconveniences. Reconsidering this closure is crucial as it will result in a significant loss of business for Costco, as myself and other members will explore alternative shopping options like Sam's Club, Walmart, Amazon, and QVC. This decision feels like a disservice to the loyal members who have contributed to Costco's success. It's disappointing that profit seems to be the priority. Wayne I., Phoenix, AZ.

I had a wonderful experience with Emmy at Kirkland Pharmacy. Despite my struggle with health issues for over two months, Emmy's keen observation led her to recommend I see her Doctor. The Doctor promptly identified my health concerns, a breakthrough my current Doctor had not achieved. Emmy's empathy and attentive care were a lifeline when my health felt uncertain. Her recommendation led to a resolution I deeply appreciate. I feel grateful for Emmy's exceptional support and Costco's wise hiring choice. She truly deserves recognition for her remarkable and compassionate service in the pharmacy department.

I regularly use Kirkland Wildflower Honey in large quantities. I recently came across concerning information about the authenticity of this product on a news website. The article mentioned issues with honey authenticity, especially with imported and some domestic varieties. The quality concerns include overheating, dilution with sugar or water, and other unacceptable practices. I urge the company to conduct independent testing on the honey to ensure its purity. It's important to address any supplier problems and inform customers when the product meets the expected quality standards. I'm willing to pay more for genuine honey and value transparency in product quality for consumers.

I recently purchased a travel mug from your store that stopped working due to a plugged vent. I diligently clean it daily and disassemble it weekly for a thorough scrub. Despite soaking it in vinegar to clear the blockage, the issue persisted. Upon removing a triangle screw on the top, I was shocked to find a thick layer of residue composed of coffee, milk, and juice accumulated over three years. This unsanitary buildup, nearly a quarter-inch thick, likely contributed to my discomfort. The mug in question is a Contigo brand. I have photographs documenting the situation and have informed friends who also use these mugs regularly. I hope you will address this matter promptly before these images circulate further.

I am concerned about the pricing of bumblebee tuna at the Oceanside Costco. I have visited two other Costco locations in Brooklyn and Lawrence, but they did not have the bumblebee tuna in stock. When I visited the Oceanside location last night to buy gasoline, I decided to check if they had the bumblebee tuna. To my surprise, they only had an eight-count package instead of the usual 10-count. The price of $16.69 for the eight-count package seems unfair and higher than what I usually pay at the Lawrence location. Given the current situation with the pandemic, I believe this pricing is excessive, especially when people are trying to stock up on essential items while self-quarantining. I hope for a prompt resolution to this issue as I am a regular Costco customer who relies on having tuna in my household.

I recently used the CostCo online ordering and delivery service and was pleased with my experience. However, I encountered an issue when trying to order a case of Workhorse IPA from Laurelwood Brewing Co. It seems there might be a discrepancy regarding the allowable amount of alcohol for delivery between CostCo and the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC). When attempting to checkout, I was prompted to remove [redacted] oz of alcohol from my cart because I was over the limit. Interestingly, a case of beer totaling [redacted] oz (24 12oz cans) should align with the OLCC's updated limit of 2.25 gallons for beer deliveries. I believe the limit set by CostCo may not have been updated post the OLCC's rule change in response to the pandemic. I hope this matter can be resolved, and I look forward to potentially adding a case of beer to my next order. Cheers!

I visited one of your stores last week and arranged the items in my cart with the UPC facing up, so the cashier could easily scan them without putting them on the belt. Despite the cashier's approval to leave the items in the cart, the assistant put them on the belt. Today, I repeated the same process, but the assistant still removed my items. When I mentioned the previous experience, the assistant explained that the checker preferred items on the belt. I felt uneasy about multiple people touching my items due to cross-contamination risks. As we navigate through these challenging times, I urge you to establish consistent standards for all staff to follow. Your efforts to prevent potential contamination are commendable, and I appreciate it. Just a small adjustment can make a big difference. Thank you.

I am experiencing significant delays and issues with my online order from Costco. Despite charging my Citi credit card, they failed to deliver the computer I purchased. Initially, they claimed the item was out of stock, but this contradicted the fact that they processed my order. They then stated the order was lost, which was disproven by UPS records showing the item was never even picked up. Now, they are promising a refund once the item is returned, but UPS confirms they never collected the package. Despite contacting Citi, Costco has yet to process the credit for order #[redacted]77.

I recently ordered prescription contact lenses online from Costco's optical services as my local optician's office is closed due to COVID-19. Unfortunately, the order did not reach me, although the tracking information indicates it was delivered. After checking my neighbor's security camera, it was confirmed that no delivery was made. Numerous attempts to contact Costco's customer service have been unfruitful, and I have also reported the missing package to the local post office without any response. My last resort is to dispute the credit card charge, which I prefer to avoid. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I visited the tire center in Schaumburg, Illinois last Thursday to switch my snow tires for regular ones. In the past, there was a bench in the center, but unfortunately, there are no more seats due to the current health situation. Despite being a senior citizen, I had to sit on the floor as there were no chairs available in the waiting area or the store. I suggested that a single chair be provided for those who need it, like seniors or people with disabilities. Additionally, I noticed that the employee did not clean the pen before or after I used it to sign the paperwork, which was concerning given the circumstances. It was disappointing to have to sit on the floor in such conditions, and I hope that some accommodations can be made for customers in similar situations. My membership number is [redacted]58.
