To configure your Xfinity modem for bridge mode, access the modem’s settings through a web browser. Enter the modem’s IP address, often 10.0.0.1, and log in with your credentials. Navigate to the “Gateway” or “Advanced” settings menu, and look for the option to enable bridge mode. After activating bridge mode, save the changes and restart the modem. This disables the router function, allowing a separate router to manage the network.

To access your Xfinity modem via a web browser, connect your device to the modem's Wi-Fi or use an Ethernet cable. Open a web browser and enter 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.100.1 in the address bar. You'll be prompted for a username and password; the default username is "admin" and the password is either "password" or the one printed on the modem. After logging in, you can manage and configure your modem settings.

There, you can set up an appointment for a technician to visit your location and assess your Wi-Fi issues. The online tool allows you to choose a suitable time for the visit.
