How Can I Lower or Monitor My Virgin Mobile Bill

You probably notice the piling up bills and are looking for ways in which you can reduce these billed amounts. Phone plans are manageable and flexible.

I recently discovered how I could lower my Virgin mobile bills and monitor them at the same time. I will share this information in this article.

Lowering Virgin Mobile Bills

Here are several ways that you can use to reduce the billed amounts on your Virgin Mobile subscription.

1. Secret Carriers

These are mobile virtual network operators that lease their bandwidth and cell coverage from Verizon, AT&T, T- Mobile, and Sprint and later sell to customers. They offer competitively cheap plans to customers and are thus affordable.

The secret carriers offer Sprint network for the Virgin Mobile customers, billed annually with no hidden fees.

2. Free Wi-Fi

For large file downloads and streaming, try as much as possible to use Wi-Fi over data. This will save the amount of data used and prevents you from surpassing the data limits on your plans.

Going past your data limits incurs significant fees to your billed amount and is a substantial source of the ever-increasing bills.

Using Wi-Fi regularly allow you to purchase a smaller plan, offering lower data plans, hence cheaper.

3. Avoid insurance

Getting a phone insurance cover at Virgin mobile may first seem like a good deal. I mean having your phone repaired after damage and getting a replacement after loss for free sounds great, right?

Consider if you do not damage or lose that phone. This means that you missed the insurance money while you could have saved it because you took care of your phone.

I suggest you get rid of phone insurance and take care of your phone. It saves you $12 monthly; $144 annually, worth of Virgin Mobil insurance money.

4. Discounts

Most networks offer discounts on their plans for prepaid users. You can, therefore, switch to the Virgin Mobile Prepaid user's account to get discounted prices on your plans.

To get information on discounts, you can consult the Virgin Mobile customer support teams.

Monitoring Virgin Mobile Bills

I came up with several ways to check on my Virgin mobile bills to prevent them from piling up. These methods include;

1. Setting Up Alerts

For non- unlimited users, the basic plans have a data limit, which, when surpassed, causes significant fees to the user's bills.

Setting up data coverage alerts helps customers maintain a track of their data usage and keep within limits.

These alerts send notifications via text message once you hit a certain percentage of your data limit to avoid surpassing the limits.

2. Virgin Mobile Account

Upon subscription to Virgin Mobile, the user gets an account. You can log in to your account to check the trends of past usage.

This will help you keep a record of data usage and the remaining data available to prevent you from reaching and surpassing the limit on your plan.

From the account, you can;

  • Check the balance
  • View usage on calls, data, and texts
  • Track new orders
  • Top up your account
  • Update your billing information
  • Check on new payments.

By checking on these trends, you can decide on the best plan to suit your needs. The plan should be within your past minimum and maximum usage levels.

3. Virgin Mobile Account App

The application works in the same way as the online account. Upon signing in, users can;

  • Check the balances on calls and texts
  • See the remaining data allowance
  • Top up the account
