Introduction

If your Verizon wireless device has started glitching, or has even stopped working entirely, then you need to know how to get support from Verizon for it. You have a few different options for doing so, and between them, you should be able to find a way to get the help you need.

What You'll Need

You can get to learn more about your device in a thorough, easy way with Verizon's device simulator. It will walk you how to do everything from setting up your device to managing your backups, and learning more of how your device works can help you understand and troubleshoot problems all by yourself.

If you have Verizon Mobile Protect, Total Equipment Coverage, or Wireless Phone Protection insurance, you can file an Asurion claim to get your device repaired or replaced.

Turn your device off and then back on again.

It's easy to do and it solves a surprising number of problems, so it's best to start with this one. If it doesn't work, or if the problem is that your device won't turn on, go on with the next step.

Check your device's settings to make sure none of them are interfering with it.

Make sure that airplane mode hasn't been turned on, that you don't have Do Not Disturb mode turned on, and so forth. Sometimes these setting can get accidentally changed during an update.

Go to the Verizon home page.

Click the Sign In button in the navigation bar at the top of the screen to sign in to your Verizon account.

Go to the troubleshooting page.

Search the list of problems to find yours and click on it.

Click the Show More button to show more options.

Follow the prompts to finish troubleshooting your device and follow the instructions you are given at the end of the process.

If this doesn't solve your problem then continue on with the next step.

Go to the Verizon store locator.

Enter your zip code, city, or state in the text box provided for it or click on the "Use my location" link to search for nearby Verizon stores.

Find a convenient Verizon store from the stores listed.

Go to the store with your device and ask a Verizon associate to help you with it.

You can also try calling Verizon's customer service to get help with your device as well.

Verizon customer service

Verizon's customer service department is open from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm EST from Monday through Friday and from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm EST on Saturdays and Sundays.

Conclusion

If Verizon isn't able to help you fix your device, it might be time to replace it. However, you can also try contacting your device's manufacturer for help before you do.

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for Verizon Wireless Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
