Check your email for an email from Uber.

If you are trying to sign into your Rider account but also have a Driver account, or if you are trying to sign into your Driver account but also have a Rider account, make sure you are actually on the right account sign in page.

Try waiting a few minutes if you get an error message when you try to sign in.

The problem could be due to an outage somewhere in the system. Waiting could let the problem take care of itself.

Try signing in on a different mobile device, or via the Uber home page on a computer or laptop.

If you have a Driver account that was deactivated due to 90 or more days of inactivity, due to the Uber reactivation request page and follow the prompts to request that your account be reactivated.
