There are several ways you can transfer money out of your Santander bank account to an account at a different bank. If you have initiated a transfer but now need to cancel it before it goes through, you can do so if you do it before the cancellation cut-off time. Keep reading to learn more.

How to Cancel a Pending Transfer From Your Santander Bank Account

To cancel a pending transfer, one that is just about to be made, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the Santander Online Banking page and log in.
  2. Click on Transfers.
  3. Click on Scheduled Transfer.
  4. Locate the Transfer you wish to cancel from the list of transfers.
  5. Click on the Delete button next to the transfer.
  6. Review the transfer details.
  7. Click on Continue.

Please note that you can cancel a pending transfer at any time up to 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on the day the transfer is scheduled.

This procedure works for both pending online transfers and pending telephone transfers.

How to Cancel a Future-Dated Transfer From Your Santander Bank Account

To cancel a transfer that is scheduled for a future date, you need to contact a Santander customer service representative and ask for help doing that. There is no online option for canceling a future transfer. You can reach a Santander agent Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
