So unfortunately, if you have a Office 365 subscription, you will need to update your subscription to use Microsoft Teams.

How Do I Share My Screen on Microsoft Teams?

The screen-sharing feature of Microsoft Teams works seamlessly with other Microsoft products, including Powerpoint, for delivering insightful presentations, and Whiteboard, for brainstorming and sketching out ideas with co-workers in real time. However you plan on collaborating, Microsoft Teams lets you share screens, files, and updates on projects all in one place.

How to Share Your Screen in a Chat on Microsoft Teams

In order to share your screen you will need to use a Microsoft Teams application and not the web version.

Once you start a chat, you'll find a Share icon in the upper right-hand corner of the chat window (look for the square with an arrow). You can choose to share your entire screen (including secondary monitors) or a specific window (that's already running). Your teammates will need to approve a notification pop-up before seeing your screen or window. Once everything is cleared up and everyone is on the same page, click the Stop Sharing options.


Note: Currently, Linux users can't share screens in a Team Chat.

How To Share Your Screen in a Meeting on Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams features a toolbar during meetings. Here is where you'll find the option to share your screen. Just as with sharing your screen in a chat, you will have the option of sharing your screen, a specific window, or a Powerpoint presentation.

When sharing a specific window on your screen on Microsoft Teams, the shared window will be outlined in red and any other windows will only be displayed as grey boxes. You can also share


Note: Linux users will not see the red outline, but they can still share their entire screen. Unfortunately, Linux users cannot share windows on Microsoft Teams meetings at this time.
