Canceling Auto Payment With HSBC

To cancel pre-set payments from your HSBC account, do the following steps:

  1. Log into your online bank account from the mobile app or your computer.
  2. Select "My HSBC."
  3. Choose "Future Dated Bill Payments."
  4. Navigate to the "More" column.
  5. Select "Delete" to cancel upcoming payments.

Payments that are already processing cannot be canceled; therefore, it is important to go into your HSBC account before the scheduled send date. You will receive an email confirmation of the payment cancellation for your records as well. For recurring payments, you can cancel the next upcoming payment only, or stop recurring payments entirely.

Other options for canceling recurring or one-time auto payments include calling HSBC customer service or making the request in writing at the address posted on the bank's website. You can also go to an HSBC branch location and speak with a customer service representative to cancel auto payments. Requests made over the phone must be accompanied by a written verification submitted within 14 days of the phone cancellation.

  1. Log into your account with the merchant, vendor or payee.
  2. Go to account management.
  3. Select payments or manage payments.
  4. In the section for payments, remove your HSBC account as a payment option for the vendor.

  6. Click "Save" or "Confirm" to complete the process.
