If, for whatever reason, the time has come to end your GoFundMe fundraiser, you need to learn how to bring your fundraiser to an end. There are actually a couple of different ways of doing so. Both of them are quick and easy.
Only the organizer of a fundraiser can end it. If you are the intended recipient of the funds and want the fundraiser to come to an end, you must have the organizer end it for you.If you are trying to cancel your fundraiser entirely, please note that ending it will not automatically refund your donors. Issuing refunds is an entirely separate process. You have two ways you can end your fundraiser. One is to delete it entirely, which means that neither you nor anybody else can access it anymore. The other way is to turn off donations to the fundraiser, effectively ending it, but leaving it still visible and accessible to the public. If your fundraiser has simply served its purpose and come to an end, the second option is probably your best bet. This allows you to keep posting updates about the recipient of the fundraiser, what the fundraiser has accomplished, and so forth. It also reminds your supporters of the special role they played and can inspire future viewers to give to other fundraisers.Once your fundraiser has received its first donation, you will receive a notification email giving you the date your bank transfer information needs to be verified by. If you do not verify the information by this date, the donation will be automatically refunded. Verification can take seven business days or even longer, in some cases.Once GoFundMe transfers donations to you, it will take from two to five business days for it to appear in your bank account.

If you want to delete the fundraiser instead of just turning the donations off, skip to step 8.
This is not necessary, but it is a good idea if you want to keep their good will in the future.

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
