However, if they return items after the forty-five day period they can still receive a refund in the form of a store certificate or store credit. The Gap will issue a refund to the original form of payment for the returned item. If you used a credit card, Gap will refund your return to your credit card. Also, online returns receive free shipping. However, online returns require you to call customer service to process them. Otherwise, you can visit a Gap retail location to get your refund.

Gap customers have several options when it comes to getting a refund. Customers can take various steps to return an item and get a refund. Customers have the option of receiving a refund at a retail location or using one of the other options to receive a refund. The way you receive your refund will be dependent on whether or not your item was purchased online or at a retail location. It will also be dependent on the time frame. Returns refunded within the required forty-five-day window will be returned to the customer in the original form of payment. However, returns that fall outside of that forty-five-day window will be refunded via a store certificate or store credit.

Gap's Return Policy

The Gap allows customers to return or exchange items that were purchased within forty-five days of purchase. Customers have the option of using the free prepaid shipping levels or making the return or exchange in the store. Otherwise, customers should find the nearest Gap location. A store associate can refund your items. Mail Only items can't be returned to a store. Your return items must be unworn and unwashed. Defective items can be returned as well.
