You can learn more about Crypto.com accounts by contacting customer support here, and below are the steps you need to take to delete your account.

Before Deleting Your Account

Before you delete your account, you must close it. There are things you need to do in order to close your account, including the following:

  1. Spend or withdraw any funds still in your account. If you have less than the minimum withdrawal amount, contact customer support for assistance in bringing your balance to zero and you can cover any withdrawal fees.
  2. Download and save any transaction history reports to a file on your computer in case you need them in the future.
  3. Email customer support here with the subject line "Close Account."
  4. Be aware, closed accounts will never be reactivated. If you wish to return to Crypto.com as a trader, you will be required to open a new account.

Deleting Your Crypto.com Account

Once your account is closed, you can proceed with deleting it. To close your account, do the following steps:

  1. Make sure you've removed all funds from your account. If you do not, and delete your account, you may not be able to recover any assets you had in your account.
  2. Log into the email account you registered with your Crypto.com account and open "new message" to compose a message.
  3. Email Crypto.com customer support here with the subject line "Delete Account."
  4. In the body of the message include the following information:
    • Your full name (as appears on your government issued identification or driver's license).
    • Email address linked to your account (include this even if you are emailing from the registered account).
    • Date of your request.
    • Request for the account to be permanently deleted.
    • Any additional information to support your request.
    • A photo of yourself holding a piece of paper with your full name, the current date and Crypto.com written on it.
  5. Send the message. In a few days, a customer service representative will respond with any requests for additional information/documentation or with notification that the account has been deleted.
  6. Once you've confirmed your account is deleted, you can erase the app from your phone and computer.

While Crypto.com will delete your account, erasing your data from its servers will not be immediate. Crypto.com must hold onto stored data for five years due to regulations. Deleted accounts will not be reactivated, so if you return to Crypto.com, you will be required to open and verify a new account. Also, if you have a Crypto.com Visa card, your card will automatically be closed/canceled when you delete your account. For more information and assistance, contact Crypto.com customer support here.
