How Do I Reset My Password for My AT&T Go Phone Account?

How to Reset Your AT&T Go Phone Password

Resetting Forgotten PIN/Password

If you need to reset your AT&T Go Phone password, follow these steps:

  1. Open AT&T's website in your browser.
  2. Navigate to the sign-in page.
  3. Click on "Forgot PIN/Password."
  4. Type in your cellphone number.
  5. Select "Request Online Password" or "Request 4-Digit PIN." You also have the option to select both.
  6. Hit "Send PIN/Password" to receive the information via text. Wireless Home Phone customers will receive a phone call with the information.
  7. Enter the new temporary PIN/Password you received in the text and hit "Continue."
  8. Follow the steps that come up on your device to reset your PIN/password.

Resetting Current Password/PIN

If you need to reset our online account access PIN or password, follow these steps:

  1. If you are logging in on your Go Phone account online for the first time, enter your 4-digit PIN as your password.
  2. Open AT&T's website in your browser.
  3. Log into your Go Phone (prepaid account).
  4. Select "Profile & Settings."
  5. Click on "Personal Info."
  6. Type in the current password or PIN.
  7. Choose "Change Online Password" or "Change 4-Digit PIN." You can also select both.
  8. Enter the new PIN or password and hit "Submit" to complete the action.

Restoring Phone to Factory Settings

If you need to reset your device back to factory settings to start over with a new PIN/password, follow these steps:

  1. Tap on the "Notifications" bar on your home screen.
  2. Touch the "Settings" option in the menu.
  3. Select "Backup and Reset."
  4. Choose "Factory Data Reset."
  5. Tap on "Reset Phone." Make sure you tap to check the SD card to remove all data from the SD card.
  6. Enter the password/PIN if enabled.
  7. Select "Erase Everything" to completely wipe your device and reset it to factory settings.
