What are the hours and when should I call?

LifeLock operates the call center for this 800-543-3562 phone number 24 hours, 7 days. The short answer is that you should call on a Friday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 309 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).

Automatically call when they open

When you use our free AI-powered phone to call and talk, wait on hold, or navigate for you, it will automatically wait until the LifeLock call center opens before trying to call. It will ask your permission before it places the call, so you can also further delay that scheduled call until you are ready. But that means you can "set it and forget it" ahead of time.
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this LifeLock phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like LifeLock staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call LifeLock is Sunday. The most busy day to call is Tuesday, which averages 417% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 309 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Tuesday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Monday.
But if you use our free call and talk for me or wait on hold for me service, you don't really need to worry about average wait times.

The best time to call LifeLock

In summation, the best day to call LifeLock is Friday.

I've been thinking it's time to enroll in an identity program to ensure my identity is not stolen or compromised. At the very least, if someone gets my information I want to know so that I can take the appropriate action. I keep hearing horror stories from friends and co-workers, and it seems like now is the right time to act. Before signing up for any service though, I decided to call and ask some questions. I like to do this with any subscription that I sign up for because I want to ensure that I'm getting the most for my money.

Lifelock probably has a lot of customers and therefore receives a healthy amount of phone calls. Given that people probably call the most when their information is compromised, it's probably a steady stream of support. Therefore, it would have been understandable if there was a bit of a wait to talk to someone, but it really wasn't too bad at all.

When you first call, a voice answers and says, "Welcome to LifeLock customer support. If you already have identity theft protection, press 1. To talk to someone in our enrollment department, press 2." I chose option 2 since it fits what I needed, and then the voice stated, "Enrollment in our services is easy. It takes just a few minutes. To enroll in Norton LifeLock or to learn more about it, press 1. If you are already a member and calling about your current service, press 2. Please have your credit or debit card ready. If you are not a member and calling about a suspicious email you received press 3."

I pressed 2 again and was told to remain on the line to talk about their services. Within just a few minutes I was connected to Gary who was helpful and clear about my options. By the end of the call, I knew what levels of protection they offered and what would be suitable for my own personal level of security.
