What are the hours and when should I call?

WOW! operates the call center for this 866-496-9669 phone number 24 hours, 7 days. The short answer is that you should call on a Friday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 2,223 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).

Automatically call when they open

When you use our free AI-powered phone to call and talk, wait on hold, or navigate for you, it will automatically wait until the WOW! call center opens before trying to call. It will ask your permission before it places the call, so you can also further delay that scheduled call until you are ready. But that means you can "set it and forget it" ahead of time.
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this WOW! phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like WOW! staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call WOW! is Sunday. The most busy day to call is Wednesday, which averages 107% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 2,223 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Friday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Saturday, which is 2720% longer than the minimum. As you can see, there is more fluctuation in hold time over the course of the week than there is in call volume.
But if you use our free call and talk for me or wait on hold for me service, you don't really need to worry about average wait times.

The best time to call WOW!

In summation, the best day to call WOW! is Friday. It isn't the least busy day, but the fact that hold times are shortest combined with it being on the busy side tells us that WOW! staffs up on Friday to handle the higher call volume, and that makes it the best time to call.

Calling this WOW! Customer Number

I'm currently not in a contract anymore with my mobile provider, so I decided now was a good time to explore other options. These days there are a lot of options for mobile providers and many of them aren't major contract providers. If someone can offer me a lower price without locking me into their contract for two years, then it's worth taking a look. WOW! caught my eye as an option for a new 5G mobile provider and I decided to give them a call to see what they could offer me.

When I called, a voice assistant picked up the phone and stated, "Hi, and thank you for calling WOW! We are here to connect you to the world through reliable services that make life easier. If you are currently a WOW! Customer, or are in the process of connecting WOW! Services, press 1. If you are interested in becoming a WOW! Customer, press 2."

I pressed two and then it told me, "To order new residential services for your home, press 1. To order new business services for your business, press 2," and after choosing residential service it asked me to enter my zip code. After I did, it said, "Additional information is needed to see which services are available in your area. Please hold while we get someone to help."

I found this slightly weird, but it only took about five seconds for someone to pick up. He said his name was John, but he had an extremely thick accent. He did talk slowly so that helped, but it took some time to get through my options. I wasn't a big fan of that, but hopefully, if I choose WOW! I won't end up needing customer service too often.
