My daughter's new dance studio wants me to place a card on file, and I hate to do that because I like to control my payments. Therefore, I decided to reactive an old Netspend card I had that I could add a balance to as I like. I have found this is a great way to prevent double charges, and sadly, that type of thing seems to happen a lot with these small businesses. 

However, I haven't used the card in a long time so I decided to call Netspend to see how I could get an updated card for my account. When I called, a virtual assistant answered the phone and said, "Thank you for calling Netspend. To give you the best service possible, please enter your card number or social security number." I chose to enter my social security number since I knew that off the top of my head, but the virtual agent responded, "One moment, I am unable to find an active card for your account. Press 1 if you would like to activate a new card. Press 2 if you are calling about a closed account. Press Star to continue."

This time I pressed 2 since I figured my account must have been closed since it was old, and I was told to wait for an agent. It started to ring right away which gave me some hope, but after a few rings, a jazzy hold music picked up. Then the virtual assistant was back and offered a few more options, but while I was deciding which was the best choice, Jayden picked up the phone. I was probably only on hold for 30 seconds so it wasn't bad at all. Jayden was very friendly and we got a new account opened up before I hung up.
