Calling this number for Netflix is an easy way to get connected with a customer service representative. When I dialed, I got a confirmation that I had reached Netflix and a message to check the Netflix website to enter an access code for the representative. I was then told to enter the access code so that the representative could enter my information and assist me faster.
As I did not have an account, I did not input any access code. Instead, I waited on hold for a representative, which the system allowed me to do. After a wait of less than five minutes, I was connected with a representative, who told me that she needed an email in order to contact me if things got disconnected or if she needed to send me information.
I provided the email I used for my Netflix account and asked her if there was any way to check which shows would be coming up on Netflix in the near future. She said that I could do that, but I'd only be able to do it if I was a subscribed customer. She told me that in order to find out which shows were coming up, I would need to log into my account and check out some of the available titles that Netflix offered.
She further explained that if I did, I could take a look at the respective trailers for those shows and find out when each was planned to return to Netflix. I thanked her for the information and hung up there, as I no longer had any questions about this interaction.
Overall, I found this interaction to be fairly easy to handle, although it was a bit simplistic. I probably would have received more of a full interaction if I'd actually had a problem for the representative to solve, but she did seem interested in at least giving me some of the basic information while pushing me toward returning to Netflix.
I didn't like that she was persistent about getting my email, as I don't think getting that information is necessary unless someone has a specific problem that requires personal interaction. I understand the need to follow company policy, but that seemed a bit unnecessary. However, most people who call this number will have an account established with Netflix, so while I wasn't a fan of it, I understand why it's in place.
I found the representative to be knowledgeable without being pushy, and I thought she was professional from start to finish. Based on this call, I would use this number if I were a genuine customer calling Netflix for assistance with my account.
