Calling Budget was straightforward and simple, as I was easily able to get in touch with a representative within a matter of minutes. When I dialed, I was first asked whether I was calling to make a reservation or about a previous reservation.

I said that I was calling for information about a reservation, and I was then asked whether I was calling for a car or a truck. I said I wanted to reserve a car, and the system then asked me to provide my Budget loyalty number. I said I didn't have one, and the system then connected me to a representative.

Once connected, the representative asked my name and why I was calling, and I said that I wanted information about renting a car in Cincinnati in September. The representative said they could provide that information and asked me where in Cincinnati I wanted to rent. I said that I would rent from CVG airport, and the representative asked me what days I wanted to rent.

I said that I would want to rent between September 5 and September 9, and the representative asked me what times I wanted to pick up and return the vehicle. I said that I'd do noon for both, and the representative asked me what kind of car I wanted to rent. I said that I'd like an intermediate, and the representative confirmed that would be similar to a Toyota Corolla.

I said that was fine, and the representative quoted me at $362 to pay now or $391 to pay later. They asked if I wanted to make the reservation, and I said I was not ready at this time. They then told me I should check online, as rates were often cheaper there.
