Yesterday (*th Sept), a **kg bag of dog food packaged in a cardboard box was delivered to my address (* Ffordd Watkins, Birchgrove, Swansea, SA* *HP) with nobody at home to receive it. **The driver clearly decided the best way to ensure it was ‘safely’ left in my garden was to launch this heavy weight over my *ft fence and onto the patio. What he*she may not be aware of is that he*she knocked over my chiminea which has subsequently broken but far more disturbingly, my healthy young rabbit safely nestled in the hutch must have had (what I can only assume) the fright of her life as the hutch was in very close proximity to the chiminea (and parcel) and on return home I found her dead in the hutch. Now clearly I can only assume that the loud noise of **kg hitting and breaking a chiminea and landing on the floor was the cause (as the most common reason for sudden death in rabbits is shock from loud noises leading to death). Never in the two years of having her has she been unwell in the slightest and was in fact hopping around the garden in the morning when my (now distraught) young children were playing with her (and our other bunny) before school. **My children aged * and * are utterly devastated as I’m sure you can imagine and this was completely unavoidable. **I would like you to investigate and reply with an explanation as to why this method of delivery is classed as acceptable by your driver. **I am completely heartbroken for my children and we have all suffered the loss of a family pet due to the nonchalant attitude of your staff.
