This situation sounds like a potential scam. Venmo does not require users to deposit money in order to receive funds. If someone is asking you to send money first to receive a larger amount, it's likely not legitimate. Always be cautious and do not share personal information or send money to anyone you do not trust.

To make a friend request on Venmo, you can search for the person's username, phone number, or email address within the app. Once you find the person you want to add, you can tap on their profile and select the option to add them as a friend. This allows you to view their transactions and send payments more easily.

Venmo allows you to transfer money from your Venmo balance, debit card, or bank account to another user, regardless of their bank. However, both you and the recipient must have a Venmo account to send and receive funds. The money will not transfer directly between checking accounts at different banks; it must go through the Venmo platform first.

To cancel your Venmo account, you need to make sure your balance is zero by transferring any funds to your bank account or spending it. Once your balance is cleared, go to the "Settings" section of the app, select "Account," then choose "Close My Venmo Account." Follow the prompts to confirm cancellation. Your account will be permanently closed.

If your Venmo app isn't loading completely, try closing the app and reopening it. Ensure that your internet connection is stable, either through Wi-Fi or mobile data. If the issue persists, check for any available updates in your app store and install them. Restarting your phone can also help resolve temporary glitches. If problems continue, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
