I have a dispute with the owner of the property where we stayed last week. The a*c worked only on the last night of the week, and we had to stay out of the house during * hours of repairs on Friday due to fumes and noise. Owners knew that we were very dissatisfied. Nevertheless, we left the house at check-out in excellent shape, following all the rules to prepare it for the cleaners. I see that owner has rated me very poorly as a renter. It is absolutely not true that we weren’t clean, or that we didn’t follow her rules. Basically her review is vindictive. She has taken her property off the VRBO listing service so that renters cannot see the review I gave her property, but the review she gave to me remains. What recourse do I have? I think it would be fair to remove her review of me, since my review of her property can’t be seen by renters of her other properties.
