The issue in GetHuman-tanyahor's own words
Our flight from Santa Barbara to Denver was delayed. We were then forward it onto the plane, and sat on the tarmac locked in the plane for one hour. When we finally left while in the air, we were informed that we would not be able to land in Denver so we landed in Grand Junction. There we were allowed to get off of the plane for ** minutes, and offered junk food snacks. We then re-boarded and finally made it to Denver around midnight. We were then re-scheduled to fly from Denver to Missoula the following day at **:**. We both ended up missing work, and paying for meals in the airport, and sleeping on the airport floor. Believing what United had told us that this was due to weather, we did not complain. However upon our return home a friend who has a flight tracker, and whose father was flying a similar path alerted us to some great inconsistencies in what we had been told by United. Another plane had left Santa Barbara ** minutes after hours, and flew directly to Denver and landed there. Apparently the story we have been given was not true. United offered no compensation, no healthy alternative to meals, and no reimbursement of flight. This proved to be extremely expensive for us, not only in purchasing the two tickets, But the loss of work time and the purchased meals as well. At this point, I have no interest in flying with United again, and will not recommend it, unless United does some sort of compensation.**In addition, I have flown United three times in the last year, and none of the mileage plan miles have been recorded. This too is very disappointing.
