I purchased and booked a flight for my partner, Alexandra Macheski and due to either autofill or human error listed my name rather than Alexandra's as the passenger information. **We attempted to change the information through the customer service line prior to the flight on ****** (flight confirmation * JSWCW*) but after speaking with * representatives were told that they could input the proper flight information. **At the airport prior to boarding--while still on the line with customer service--we both spoke with the United Staff members at GRR and explained the situation. Unfortunately, they replied that to make any changes they would have to go through the same process over telephone as well as hold times (over an hour) as we had done. Since the flight was scheduled to depart at *:** AM and there was less than an hour till boarding, we were advised to cancel the ticket over the phone, book a new ticket, and request a refund through United's website. **The link on the United website to request and process a refund led to a broken page* thus, I am writing to request a refund for the flight.**I've always had congenial experiences travelling with United and hope to continue flying with the airline. **I greatly appreciate your help in advance with this situation. For reference, my United MileagePlus number is WS******. ***Sincerely, **Brian Ford
