I placed an order with * Guys, Wallsend, Newcastle at around **pm, after several cancelled orders from other restaurants. I ordered a Chicken wrap with chips and chilli, not a complex order at all. My order went through and was due to be delivered between **:**pm and **pm. At **:**pm my order still hadn’t shown up. I made several calls to the number provided on the app with no response. My order is still active on the Uber EATS app, so the restaurant have not cancelled it. I have them received a called from the number provided on the app saying they don’t deliver to my address and have cancelled the order. Again the order is still active and says it is on its way but the rude man on the phone assured me it’s been cancelled. If they “don’t deliver” to our area, why does the restaurant come up? Fair enough delivery areas can change but surely the restaurant would cancel as soon as they were aware of the delivery. Appalling service especially since I’m a new customer, will certainly not be using the service again but would like my money back for the order and would like the restaurants delivery area updated to avoid further confusion.
